OJUJU: THE VILLAGE OF FORBIDDEN LOVE - EPISODE 4

(The great Dilemma)

With a final gland at her father, Amisha turned to walk away. Suddenly a mighty wind began to blow and Priestess Asakwe appeared

"You must have underestimated Ojuju to think you can leave this village" Priestess Asakwe said

"Asakwe or whatever you are called, ten of you can not stop me from leaving" Amisha replied

" Well we would see about that" Priestess Asakwe said and held her hands high and began to say recite some incantations. By the time she brought down her hands, Adazi Amisha's father began to convulse. He fell on the floor, holding his neck as if he was been str@ngled and then bl**d started coming out of his mouth, nose, eyes and ears

"Papa, Papa what is happening to you" Amisha said as she dropped her bag and ran to hold her father

"What are you doing to my father?" Amisha asked Asakwe

"Exactly what you are seeing me do" Asakwe said

Amisha remembered what happened when the guards of Asakwe tried to take her forcefully when she raised her hands up. How a great thunder came down and struck them them down. She raised her hands and tried to struck Asakwe but nothing happened. She tried it again and again but still yet nothing happened

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" Asakwe laughed

"So you want to use the powers of Ojuju but doesn't want to be part of Ojuju. How gullible can you be" Asakwe laughed

Amisha looked at her father who was already giving up and knelt down to beg Asakwe

" Please if you still have any element of mercy in you, do not harm my father. He is innocent. If not for anything, for the fact he has even been on your side since this issue began" Amisha pleaded

Asakwe brought out her rod, touched Adazi and immediately he got up.

"Papa are you okay?" Amisha ran towards him trying to check if he was okay

" Amisha I am okay. You are acting as if something happened "He said

" Of course something happened " Amisha said

" What happened? " He asked

" Papa do you mean you don't remember what happened few minutes ago when Asakwe struck you with convulsion and you fell on the ground bl**ding from your eyes, nose, ears and mouth?" Amisha asked

" When did that happened. Nothing like that happened. I just came out of the house now. Asakwe never came here" Adazi said

" He can not see me neither can he remember anything that happened here " Asakwe said to Amisha

" Amisha you have three days, three days or something worse would happen " Asakwe said and disappeared with the wind

"Amisha are you okay?" Adazi asked

"Yes Papa" Amisha said

"What are your clothes doing outside?" Adazi asked

"I wanted to go wash them at the village stream but I changed my mind" Amisha lied

"Okay my daughter" Adazi said

"Papa let's go inside" Amisha said to her father and they both went inside the house

Amisha and her father went inside the house but her mind was still reeling from the encounter with Asakwe. She couldn't shake off the feeling of being trapped and helpless. She knew she had to find a way to escape the village with her father before the three-day deadline expired

As they entered the house, Amisha's father seemed oblivious to the supernatural events that had just transpired.

"Amisha, what's wrong?. You seem troubled." He asked

Amisha hesitated as she was unsure of how much to reveal to him

"I am just worried about the village Papa. I don't want anything bad to happen to us." She said

"We'll be fine, Amisha. Ojuju will protect us." Adazi said

Amisha's heart sank. Her father's blind faith in Ojuju and Asakwe was part of the problem. She knew she had to find a way to break free from the village's grip without putting her father in harm's way.

As the day wore on, Amisha's anxiety grew. She began to think about her options, weighing the risks and potential consequences.

That night, Amisha couldn't sleep. She lay awake with her mind racing with ideas and fears.

"I have to escape, but how?" She asked

The next morning, Amisha decided to take a walk around the village, hoping to clear her head and gather her thoughts. As she walked, she noticed something peculiar. The villagers seemed to be watching her with their eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

As she walked back to her house, she saw a figure waiting for her in the shadows. It was a young man from the village, someone she had noticed watching her before.

"Amisha," he whispered

"I need to talk to you. Meet me at the old windmill on the outskirts of the village tonight, under the light of the moon." He added

With that, he disappeared into the crowd of villagers, leaving Amisha wondering what he wanted and whether she could trust him.

Her encounter with the mysterious young man left her with more questions than answers.

" Who was he, and what did he want?" She asked herself

Despite her reservations she felt drawn to the possibility of finding an ally in the village.

That night, under the light of the moon, Amisha made her way to the old windmill on the outskirts of the village. The windmill stood tall and silent, its wooden blades creaking softly in the breeze. Amisha approached cautiously with her heart pounding in her chest.

The young man emerged from the shadows suddenly

"You sacred me" Amisha said

"I am sorry Amisha. My name is Aguka. I have been watching you and I know you are not like the others. You don't believe in the sacrifices, do you?" He asked

Amisha hesitated as she tried to read his thoughts and expression but something about Aguka's words resonated with her.

"No, I don't. I think it's wrong to take innocent lives." She said

Aguka nodded with a small smile displaying on his face.

"I agree. That makes too of us" He said

"Really?" Amisha asked surprised there was also someone like her in the village

"Yes and I think I can help you and your father escape from the village." Aguka said

" Who told you I want the escape?" Amisha asked

" I know everything Amisha. I have been following up on everything about you since that day you challenged the evil Asakwe and Ojuju" He said

Amisha's eyes widened in surprise.

"Okay how can I escape?" she asked

Aguka glanced around cautiously before responding.

"I know a way out of the village, a secret path that Asakwe's guards don't know about. But we have to be careful. Asakwe has eyes and ears everywhere." He said

Amisha's mind was racing at this point

"Can I trust this strange boy called Aguka? Was this a trap, or a genuine offer of help?" She asked herself

What do you think Amisha should do next?
