He appeared in front of her in seconds. His fingers grasped her neck. The girl choked and struggled. She tried to speak, yet no words came out.
Her eyes bulged out, and despair appeared in them.
Norman stuffed something into her mouth, slammed her toward the floor, and then stomped on her back. He broke several bones in one kick.
Zerra's group didn't even need to act. Well, except for Nerith who had used her illusion to catch them off guard, thereby making them momentarily lose sense with reality.
By the time they snapped back to their senses, Mateo's group already had them under control.
