"Scott, the two gentlemen and lady will stay at your place." Jake brought them to the small house after he helped Darren and others to settle in.
In contrast with the thin Jake, who resembled someone in his late thirties, Scott was still relatively young. He was still in his early twenties, yet his exhausted face made him look older than his actual age.
"We have two more rooms here." Scott smiled at them. "Let's go inside."
Jake left them after he made sure that there were exactly two rooms available for them.
Oddly enough, the situation became a little awkward as soon as he was gone.
"I hope that you don't mind with this room, Miss Zerra." Scott opened a room, and helped her to carry her backpack inside. They had introduced themselves to him earlier.
"Sorry for troubling you," she muttered.
He just waved his hand off. "It's no trouble at all. I have been living alone ever since the world turned so strange…"
