Chapter 2 - Ch2: Unemployment

{POV - Jumper}

Welp, I guess it has been quite a few months now.

According to the timer on the PC that I now own, I have managed to persist for 10 months inside this house the size of a small mansion that is located in a white void.

All without touching myself… er… busting a nut.

After the third time I scratched my balls on the first day I already got rid of that habit thankfully.

Adaptation is indeed one of the greatest traits humans possess.

Now I know how that one streamers dog felt like when getting electrocuted.

In this time of zero responsibility I have managed quite well if I do say so myself.

Although the intrusive thoughts kept coming back relentlessly.

I underestimated those two 100 and 200 NP Drawbacks that made me constantly think about horny thoughts.

Thank god that my confidence in feeling less horny the longer I didn't do it turned out to be true.

Or maybe Dubious Health Benefits and Ligma Jumper Grindset were simply that goated and made my delusional thinking real because I believed it and it was considered training.

On that note, I have spent quite some time doing physical exercises and martial art repetitions.

Alongside normal stretching and muscle training I have specifically trained in the Saitama routine, those whacky 5x30 exercises posted on TikTok and martial art movements stances.

All in all I would say the training was pretty fruitful but I'm pretty sure I hit a kind of bottleneck where my physical stats could not increase any further.

The chinese cultivation term aside I really can't traditionally train up my body any more since it is still considered only human with its upper limit.

By no means an I currently a normal human right now since with the Body Mod I already started at roughly peak human in all bodily aspects which got trained further to slightly superhuman.

However I still need some sort of Perk that uncaps potential (which there exists quite a few of actually) or increase my limits by gaining an Alt-Form of a Species with a higher training limit.

Alt-Forms refer to to new forms received when entering a Jump not as a Drop In.

The best way to describe the differences between them is that Droping In is transmigration while using a normal Origin is reincarnation.

If for example I chose to choose an Origin and or Species option I would enter the Jump as if I had grown up in that world living life until I suddenly remembered past life memories (those that being my memories before I became a Jumper and those of past Jumps) while if choosing Drop In if it's available I would enter with any of my already obtained other forms with no new memories or identity added in that world.

But there are also possibilities of gaining Alt-forms when dropping in If I were to choose a species option different from those I already possessed but still decided to drop into the setting.

Alt-forms can pretty much be changed at will but take a few minutes of concentration to do so meaning they can't really be changed during combat normally.

Besides that I am not really sure if any martial arts training I have done here will have any effects during fights since I don't have any opponents to test them out on if they would even work at all.

I at least had a decent foundation on that since I trained in Jiu-Jutsu before becoming a Jumper and got an extra competency for it through the Body Mod.

I also tried meditating but I quickly gave up when I always ended up imagining myself getting embraced by a tall milf or squeezed between two thick thighs.

Enlightenment is so close, yet so far away.

That's why I couldn't really focus on any absurd mental trainings to take advantage of the training Perks further yet.

I would have wished to do more too but with how minimal this house is filled with furniture I couldn't really do any good weight training either to see if I could increase other aspects of my body that weren't covered by my training like the organs or muscle density.

The best I managed was to built some doohickeys and improvised armour out of the materials provided by the Bolts Item as the best next thing for training gear.

I looked like a mad max cosplayer while exercising basically.

I'm also pretty sure I got some One Piece style healing factor now too since I recover suspiciously fast from my training after I eat the food that spawns in every day.

Yeah, food simply manifests in the fridge every day at midnight.

Although I had to cook most of the meals myself, the kitchen was more decked out in comparison to the rest of this place.

However most of my time in those months have actually been spent with the gaming setup.

Who knew that someone chronicly online would play video games and watch shows when the chance showed itself to be unemployed.

I would have actually spent more time watching online videos or doomscrolling but because of time shenanigans I only have access to the the contents of the Internet that existed before I became a Jumper.

Aka I was stuck in 2026 with the things I could access right now on the internet.

No new uploads, no new memes, just the same dogshit slop as always.

Also no interactions with others online.

The closest thing I could do was read comments of others that already existed.

To be honest I feel very lonely right now.

No interaction with another human being does that to you, no matter how much of a social recluse you are.

And I spend a lot of time beforehand in my apartment without leaving already so that says something when it comes from me.

There were still some manga and comics too that I received from the tier two Entertainment option but they were of those series that I already read so rereading wouldn't do anything major for my enjoyment.

The only games I could actually play were single player games and since I had more than enough time I decided to mostly spent my 2000 € budget on games where I could play for a long period of time like Minecraft, multiple Dark Souls entries, RPGs and a few other games like Stardew Valley to have a more varied palette of games to play since just grinding RPG's, going through modded Minecraft and dying to Dark Souls bosses over and over again would bore me eventually.

And not to forget the shows and movies, free streaming is bloody nice, especially if I eventually enter worlds were these events that I watch take place.

The constant boners and genetelia pattern recognitions of my brain made things a bit more chorefull while focusing on other things but I managed.

It's a shame that I could not use the Nutless Curse Perk on myself to get rid of my need to orgasm in the first place.

I even hit myself with the Boinker just to test if it's anti-horny effects would work on myself to cheat myself through this Gauntlet more.

Short answer, it didn't.

That thing hurt a lot.

Now with all of this settled I just to need 2 more months and I can choose my next Jump.

I have already checked out the r/Jumpchain Reddits Google drives and posts for Jump Documents to read through them and organize them for my plans.

I spent my time in the Jumpchain community mainly on Reddit since it was usually more pleasant than 4chan or spacebattles.

Also they were more focused on having fun and didn't really care too much if the Jumps they made were too overpowered meaning the stuff I could pick up would also be better in comparison to the danger that the world and Drawbacks would offer.

That actually doesn't mean that much though as outliers still exist and danger is not limited to the Jumps themselves but the worlds themselves.

Warhammer 40k for example would still be trouble for most Jumpers even if they were decently strong, except if they had already gone through a bunch of other Jumps to get very overpowered beforehand and to prepare multiple counters for all possible dangers of course.

That's something I mainly looked for in the Jumps I would choose to go this early in my Chain.

I would focus on low danger Jumps, especially those that could be completed in periods shorter than the usual 10 years to build up power and then go to some slightly dangerous setting with that stocked up power to build up some necessary utility powers and counters before I can move up to Jumps that would pose slightly more danger to me and pick up some really powerful stuff to start compounding power.

With that I wouldn't have to worry that much more about the dangers that exist in future settings that I would like to visit for different reasons.

In abridged Vegeta's words: "First Immortality, then the Bitches.".

And at the moment since I possess so few Perks anyway I could manage going to a few more Gauntlets and Jumps with Lockout Drawbacks that removed my out of context abilities or items.

If I were a long time Jumper I would definitely be much more hesitant to go to Gauntlets and take Lockout Drawbacks since I would lose much more power in comparison to if I did them now.

So now I just need to wait until the Gauntlet ends while continuing my preperations before I can continue on this Chain of mine.

I do wonder however.

Who was my Benefector and why did they choose me?

{Time Skip - 2 Months}

The Timer reached zero and I found myself back in the dark room with the computer.

On the screen there was the the NNN Gauntlet tab already open.

According to the document, for completing the Gauntlet I received some free perks that I of course claimed by clicking on them.

For not failing I received three Perks.

'No Nutting' which gave me an immunity to sexual corruption and an increase to other kinds of corruption of other sources by 3 times.

'Bragging Rights' giving me a confidence boost.

And lastly 'Master Baiter' giving me full control over hentai logic regarding myself, the ability to switch my genitalia and genderbend as well as the ability to stockpile sexual desire and the required fluids faster if I wanted to.

And all three of them were added to my BodyMod too.

Yeah, that is something not that common in most Jump documents.

However they mostly weren't that useful in most situations when I would be unable to use anything but my bodymod.

Having them was better than not though.

Hell, gender bending would be dream of trans people and I just got it while not even wanting it.

Might even be fun to use for trolling purposes.

Just imagine the shenanigans I could use it for.

However since I took the Drawback that made the challange last an entire year instead of a month I received an additional 300 points to spend on this document before choosing my next jump.

Since I had already used up all of my Discounts I could take one 100 point and one 200 point Perk or Item.

From the still available options I chose 'Nutty' making me an expert in nuts.

For me it's good since I can use this increased expertise to grow more Maximum Nuts that I couldn't use during the Gauntlet because of the 'Nutless' Drawback once I get access to a farm attached to my Warehouse.

And secondly 'My Lewd Sense Is Tingling'.

Good for a similar reason the wooden bat was good.

It would alert me to beings who held an intent to rape me or those I care about about as long as they were in the same building as me.

Better for more grim and lewd worlds but even in modern times it would be good as rape is not that uncommon as one would think, especially for women but men too.

Having completed everything and confirming my choices I was left with the search bar again.

Now I could choose where I went to next.

One of my biggest concerns now where combat capability.

Not in the way of raw power for now since that was easy enough to increase with Perks or training but in terms of skill and experience.

In most worlds fighting is an important part of them because monsters, wars or conflicts in general.

Thus being good at fighting is simply a requirement that I would need to fulfill for myself.

Those couldn't be made up exactly with Perks since even those that provided those things exactly were not really that good as they only give around 5 to 10 years of experience in one weapon or style usually.

Basically only good enough to be the equivalent of one year of training with the training booster I now possess.

Definitely not a good investment since other Perks can do way more with a better price to usefulness ratios.

I could also take a Perk that would increase my talent to genius levels to elevate me even faster but those were only in some more dangerous shonen setting so I would have to wait for a bit until I could get some good ones.

That's why I chose my next Jump to be another Gauntlet again.

The 'SUPERHOT Gauntlet' which had a geometrical red person as its app logo.

It had options for some abilities and skills that would be useful no matter my general power level meaning even at Dragonball cosmic tiers of fights they would be useful.

And since how they functioned they could make up for a lack of skill while also not completely making me rely on them.

As for combat training, this was exactly what this Gauntlet provided for me as well since the goal was to go through the levels of the video game this Gauntlet was based on where I just had to fight groups of red dudes.

I would only fail if I got killed 5 times (which is hard considering a mere touch meant instant death for me but that was alright) since the Perks I would gain would make up for that disadvantage.

However there were additional challenges I could pick which gave me rewards to if completed them as well as additional points to use on purchases as well as freely allocatable discounts.

I could only pick two regular challenges and one special challenge and receive their rewards.

However the one special challenge I chose was special indeed.

'HERCULES' made go through all of the regular challenges together but I would also receive all of their rewards.

I didn't receive the additional Discounts or Points for them but the regular rewards they offered would be mine.

This came in the form of me having to redo the Gauntlet after I completed it but adding all of the conditions of one additional challange onto it one at a time until I completed all of the levels of SUPERHOT six times with the last run ending with me having the rules of all 5 regular challenges active at the same time.

As for the regular challenges choosing them specifically was not necessary since I would gain all of the possible rewards anyway but I still clicked on the first two to get the free points and Discounts to use.

In addition I took the Drawbacks 'ENCORE' which added the levels of SUPERHOT VR onto the levels I had to complete as well and 'BODIES ARE DISPOSABLE' which made me feel every in Gauntlet death as if I actually died.

Not the best but I was planning on not dying.

The biggest danger of this Gauntlet though was SUPERHOT itself as this was a semi meta game originally.

Basically you played as some guy that received a link to the game SUPERHOT by a friend of yours.

In actuality the linked game was a sort of computer virus called the System that could take over the minds of those that played it and assimilates them into itself.

In the end after completing the game you would be fully taken over by its control and spread the links to the game like your friend did to you at the start of the game.

Thankfully I already had a tough mind control/corrruption resistance in my Body Mod through the Essential Body Mod and the NNN Gauntlets Rewards.

However that shouldn't really matter since I would appear in this room after completing the Gauntlets challenges anyway so it couldn't really assimilate or keep controlling me afterwards if I were to reappear in this room to select my next Jump.

Was I over confident right now?

Yes.

However I felt pretty reckless at this moment and for my future I would be willing to take that risk since Gauntlet failures were not Chain failures.

As for the Budget, I currently had 2300 CP and 7 Discounts.

For free I got 'basic.core', 'SUPERHOT.core' and aesthetic.hack'.

The first provided basic instinctual knowledge on weapons, while also boosting reflexes, agaility and strength and an increased situational awareness to track up to 10 threats at once.

The second gave me the signature power of the game which slowed time except my own perception the less I moved.

The third made me capable of adding a visual filter over the world making it look like a level of SUPERHOT.

The third of those wasn't that useful but the first two were the shit.

The first gave gave me enough skill with weapons to make use of them while fighting and there were two other Perks in this document which were just better versions of this Free Perk.

The additional attribute increases were also good as speed is the most import stat for fights against similarly strong enemies.

The increase in opponents I could track of in addition was phenomenal by itself as I could use it to not be as overwhelmed by numbers.

However the SUPERHOT ability is the true MVP of this Gauntlet.

While it is active it creates a massive gap between me and my opponents in battle since I had more time to plan and predict my opponents or dodge their attacks when time was slowed.

And thus I could reliable fight those above me in power and skill.

Sadly it would gain a cooldown after I left the Gauntlet but with all of the extra Challanges I picked it would be reduced to only take a day for it to be used again even if it's duration only lasts for one altercation.

Still better than the year long cooldown it would have had if i didn't take a single challange.

As for the Perks I chose to buy.

'shatter.hack' made it so that when I wished it things around me would break more easily.

Good for destroying weapons or armour in future Jumps but not that good for this Gauntlet since that was the default of the game.

'supthrow.hack' making it so things I throw would automatically be adjusted to hit my target if I would be physically capable of throwing it that distance along with adjusting its angle to deal maximum damage.

It even returned thrown items like throwing stars back to me if I hit my enemies.

'pierceshot.hack' making all bullets I shoot pierce through enemies until they hit wall.

Good for crowds.

'ricochet.hack' makes bullets bounce towards enemies after making contact with surfaces like walls.

On its own it's good as it means failed shots could hit other enemies but with the piercing upgrade in addition I could clear out rooms with a single bullet.

'killer.hack' which is an upgrade form of 'basic.core' that I gain for Free right now because of one of the regular Challenges.

'suppunch.hack' making my punches strong enough to oneshot mundane humans as well as bullet proof enough to deflect them.

'shotflow.hack' making bullets that do headshots aim towards the nearest enemies head adding another layer on my one bullet one room clearing combo except this one actually preserves momentum which the other two Perks didn't do.

'lightreflx.hack' slowing down bullets that are 1 foot or closer away from me to deflect them easier.

'defall.hack' making it so if I deflect a projectile all projectiles in a one and a half radius of me are reflected at the person who launched the projectile that I personally deflected.

This one works good if I'm too overwhelmed by projectiles and with the rest of my Perks so far the rest of the projectiles would pierce and bounce to any other close enemy as well.

And for the last of my Perks here 'thrall.hack' which is the highest version of 'basic.core' available in this document.

Instant weapon mastery of any weapon I hold, enough dexterity to recreate that one Matrix scene and situational awareness so good to keep track of 80 threats at once.

Good enough to make up for my lack of combat experience before starting this Gauntlet.

For the Items I get a Free 'VR Headset & PC' and 'Republika'.

The first is the ingame interface used to play SUPERHOT which after the Gauntlet will update to the latest software available and can be used to play any Game I have in VR somehow and bring external powers into games.

I could use my Perks in the games I play like this.

Since I already have a PC in the Warehouse I decide to Import it into the one I already have.

This is a mechanic unique to Items which allows similar Items to receive the properties of the Item their Imported as instead of gaining a new Item.

For example, I could Import a Sword that magically glows into a Sword that deals frost damage when it's used to attack.

The result would be that the Sword that glows gains that frost attack ability while still retaining its magic glow ability and appearance.

Normally much better than having two swords that only do one of those things seperatly.

But I couldn't use the glowing Sword to Import into clothes for example as they are not the same type of Item.

This only works when buying Items in Jump documents.

As for the 'Republika' it's all of the works of a polish rock band by the same name in different formats.

Then I also took 'strtpistol.hack' which is a completely black pistol that deals 10 times as much damage if it does a headshot.

'strtshotgun.hack' a completely black shotgun that deals massive knockback against anything smaller than a small pick-up truck it hits with all of its bullets.

'strtrifle.hack' a completely black rifle that changes the bullets it's used to be the most effective against it targets.

It can only choose from existing rounds like armor piercing however.

And 'strtkatana.hack' which is a completely black katana that gets sharper the faster it's swung.

Lastly, since I still have 100 CP left over I buy two ‚trash.hack' for a crowbar and bottle just to get it over with.

These Items I will be unable to access until the end of the Gauntlet but with Perks alone I should be more than prepared.

As for the regular challenges 'NINJA' will make faster while active but limits me to only throwing stars and the katana as weapons I'm allowed to use.

'THROWING' limits me to only throwing things and makes punches do almost no damage but throws are instant kills.

'FULLSTOP' makes the SUPERHOT ability stops movement completely instead of slowing it down but bullets are faster and guns I pick up only have a singular bullet in them.

'GHOST' makes punches instant kills, removes my capability of picking up weapons and makes me start every level with the ability 'HOTSWAP' active.

HOTSWAP allows me to possess others while SUPERHOT is active and explodes the head of the bodies I leave behind.

And finally 'HARDMODE' makes punches weaker, increases bullet speed and lowers ammo further.

All in all a pretty good harvest of abilities already and I'm just going to get more after completing this Gauntlet and gaining the Challange Rewards.

I confirm my choices and get mentally prepared for the upcoming combat I will face.
