Chapter 3 - Breaking Free

Ava stood up, her hair disheveled, she looked down to her nanosuit pajama suit and went to the restroom to brush her teeth and blow her hair - she washed her face and ensured everything was fresh and clean on her part.

She got up, and went to her dresser and wore her clothes. As she finish readying, she makes her walk outside

She walked from her house, and to the street everything was doing alright and of course the civilians around her just passed by, 60 percent of them noticed the collar and made sure to distance themselves away from her.

She continued to walk away, some made sure to precaution themselves away, and made assumptions about her. I mean who could blame them for taking precaution from her?

Ava continued to walk, she had accepted her situation from bystanders cautioning themselves around her, but her utmost trepidation was her schoolmates. Considering she is 17 years old, and is probably in a university Ava could only imagine the worst case scenarios where a bunch of people with their own bubbles make their reactions upon the sight of the collar.

As Ava only shook her head, has she made any effort to hide it? No, it was useless. Regardless of how much she will try to render it inconspicuous. It was pointless there was no other way around it they would notice it right away.

Ava makes her way, with dread and blankness in her face. One step at a time, two steps at a time. Time begins to slow down, as she reaches near the school from commuting. It was getting way too anxious.

As Ava reached the school.

The security guard near the post of the door noticed it, he walked near to Ava then observed, "A collar huh, you have been into some really shady stuff?"

Ava looked up into the security guard nodded and replied "I was stupid to be fair. Am I allowed to be in?"

The security guard then reminded her, "Wait, here for a second." The security guard went to the terminal and accessed the mainframe and logged Ava in the database, her collar situation for future information. The security guard notified the administrator of the School for a security clearance and a warrant for extreme surveillance and restrictions.

The administrator of the school conceded and added restrictions to keep an eye on her. There was a sheer suspense amongst the school board, the security guard let out his hand with the verdict and injunction, "You may proceed, but if you let out one wrong move it wouldn't end well for you."

Ava with her gloomy face but hopeless face acceded, "Understood, sir. I will now make my way." Ava then makes her way, schoolmates would look at her - the hall was a bustling activity of classmates gossiping and noises, small talks are heard everywhere they clash themselves and produce a dissonant sound field in the halls along with their lockers. People would look at her, with her collar on. Some made some short gossip. "Did that girl just get into trouble?" being one example, especially those who had encountered her appearance before.

One boy and other guys blurted, "Wow, look at that girl she just got a collar or sorts she probably got in trouble or something"

another guy said "Yeah, probably a curfew or something?"

the guy who introduced the subject makes a jocular assumption, "I am betting she went out to get laid with someone"

the other guy exclaims it to himself "Dammm, she is something else."

This gossip painted Ava's emotional state red the most, as she clenched her fist.

She grinds her teeth quietly, some boys even thought she was cute with it, considering her 5 '6 height especially in her adolescence stage indicating that she is still in the age where she is maturing. Ava went to the lockers, people stared at her. Ava opens her futuristic locker to grab her learning aid tools, especially her notebooks inside to head to the lecture room where the class will commence on Monday.

Ava sat on her chair, watching the teacher a literal AI named AITE-9000 lectured about Algorithms and Quantum Computing, algorithms being something she is familiar with, and so do the other students in the class. Ava listened to the teacher for hours. Of course classmates notice her collar on, some even find the collar endearing that they can't help but stare before averting their gaze unto the lesson, and announce.

"Today we will be learning about Shor's Algorithm."

Ava listens to the teacher string a line of words for the lecture, especially the applications. Ava listened and listened, she played with the tablet watching how it works. Ava listened as she did her work working on the personal algorithms as a playground.

Ava fiddled with the simulations and display of the tablet as the teacher continued on with his lesson. Ava listens patiently. She played with decryption and immersed herself in it, all the knowledge in her brain that was uploaded in her early days like other citizens is starting to piece together. She saw potential in this lecture but has no idea how to capitalize on it. After all, she does have personal projects in areas of reverse engineering.

"I could make good use of this." Ava fiddled with the simulations in the table, while mildly paying attention to her teacher. Ava paid attention to the teacher while being bored.

As Ava continues to look at the lectures. She listened to the lecture.

"In our recap regarding Qubits, you have an algorithm in Quantum Computing invented by Peter Shor's since 1994 called the Shor's algorithm. The Shor's algorithm uses Prime factorization but in qubits in a quantum computer to compute composite numbers ergo allowing decryption of very advanced encryption algorithms like RSA and modern encryption security. There was a hedge fund for it, even IBM used it back in the day, especially Google, but in today's world alongside Heisenberg uncertainty and other theories it has served as the quintessential force of many of the main technologies of this current era."

The lecturer continued with

"You see all those flying cars? Teleportation devices or even faster than life travel, or maybe technological manipulation of Space-Time? it was all done in a quantum computer… Antigravity? Oh definitely we have improved quantum computers to be smaller to the point that we can use quantum computers to calculate the necessary means to manipulate the localized field of an object lessening its mass and through the tiniest bit of quantum and some field manipulation to make it move. Back in the days, people would be fundamentally opposed to the idea of Antigravity deeming it as impossible, or that's what they call it nowadays but this day it would be called quantum field manipulator."

Ava listened and listened, she tried to receive apprehensively in her head. She is fascinated by quantum computing in the hopes of hacking and decryption than mere physics but after she is the computer type not the physics type, though her cybernetic mind can instantaneously recall 'apophenic' like threads to do regression conceptualization to fit her thinking patterns of whatever physics is done by a quantum computer. But still Ava's mind is in robotic and hobbyistic engineering, not in the realm of theoretical physics. Ava then rested on her tablet, until she was slightly interrupted by a female classmate named Yaren Philips.

Yaren then whispered "Psst, ava."

"Ava"

Ava's head arose from her table, her eyes staring at Yaren, she saw a blonde-haired lady with brown eyes. Ava said "Hm?"Ava then continued with"What is it Yaren? Is there something you need?" Yaren then vigorously looked at her and commented "You look pretty with the collar on, and quite adventurous. What did you do that made you wear a surveillance collar?"

Ava replied with reluctance "What can I say? I was getting a bit too adventurous" Ava looked at her. Yaren says with an invitation, "Wanna explore the outside world with me later? Have a little fun"

Ava eyes arched up and observe with keen refrain,"I don't want to get into trouble again, maybe within constricted decorum not of reckless deeds"

Yaren understood, "Ah, okay. I might forget about the misinterpretation you give. But Ava, I just wanna hang out with you? Tell me about stuff" Yaren then whispered to her ears, "Do you have a boyfriend?" that line cracks Ava up as she puts up a grimace face and says "No, why is that the collar I am wearing gives others the impression that I have a boyfriend."

Yaren admits, "Oh come on, Ava you are really pretty. You know? Like you could get a boyfriend if you wanted, Hmm maybe because I thought you wanted to go outside of the house undetected."

Ava cringed at this statement and said "Noo…" Ava's face morphed into a grimace where she excused herself, "It's something else, I suppose. I am not inclined to elaborate further" Ava head then rotated to the lecture that was in elapse. Ava then rotated her head and externalized her plan, "We can talk later after class." before readjusting her head rotation whose eyes are now staring at the lecture

Yaren then did the hand whisper trying to aim it on Ava's ears as Ava is currently observing the lesson and with a faint voice came, 'Okay, Ava. I will come to you after class"

Ava ignored her, as she focused on the lesson.

The teacher continued teaching about Algorithms for Quantum computing and its emphasis. Yes indeed quantum computing has indeed revolutionized today's computing system, but not everyone gets the best of it. As most common computers, laptops or even devices do not run in Qubits with calculations that are done in a superpositional state of a theoretical Qubit but rather a sophisticated engineering of Moore's law where transistors and GPU clocks and even primary and secondary memory are exponentially times 10x faster and expanded with better dissipating solutions than the computers of the 21st century.

This is to prevent the misuse of quantum computers falling into the hands of the common man. You will need to amass a lot of credits just to get a mini-quantum computer which costs about 100,000 credits. Average salary would be 50-200 credits, and considering the tax and the minimum wage that is operational in this society this would indicate the rarity of Quantum computers

Ava continued to listen before class ended, Ava thought Yaren would forget about her, but she was wrong. As Ava was about to walk to a cafeteria where she was shown interacting with a futuristic menu with a graphical interface with a scroll bar, showing a lot of synthetic but carbohydrate foods filled with grain of nutrients

Yaren rushed to her to Ava's surprise, as Yaren surprised Ava from her back while her hands were on Ava's shoulders. Ava looked at her back, slightly gasped for air with an exclamation "Yaren?!" in a somewhat hushed surprised tone.

Yaren with ecstasy smiled, her mouth moved with glee and naive bubbly charm, "Ava, Ava now that we are outside, do you want to hang out with me? Do some stuff, do you want to eat food with me or something?"

Ava looked at her with awkwardness and noted, "Uhhh, okay. I suppose we can do it your way, what are your plans then?"

Yaren looked at Ava and smiled alongside blonde hair fluttering as two teens were about to embark on a great exodus together.

Yaren's eyelids looked left as she scratched her chin and suggested, "Hmmmm… maybe games or arcade? Maybe some foods, I don't know, I just want to go out with you."

Ava in her awkward like tone, "Sure." with Ava being unable to process her unpredictability, let alone know how to maintain balance nor counter Yaren's actions. Ava attempted to make a faint alibi, "Just so you know, Yaren I am still wearing this collar, anything I do will be logged into whatever corpo leashed me with this. So don't think you can throw me anywhere where I would be involved with something like curfew or reckless juvenile stuff."

Yaren became nervous and understood with resolution, "Okay, I am sorry. I will make sure to maintain my personality." Ava then returns her focus in the interactive menu and selects one bread with eggs. Humans equipped state of the art visors with aprons alongside apparatus (which serves to interface with machines and productivity) working in the cafeteria started to mobilize, they fiddled with machines and synthetic generation of a food to fulfill the order Ava requested per the menu.

Ava then seen an update in the menu where it titles itself with a synthesized voice playing in its speakers saying "Estimated time 1 minutes 56 seconds"

Ava then waited, Ava then looked at Yaren and asked with interest"So. Miss bubbly girl? What do you suppose we talk about then, I see myself in the mood for trivial conversations."

Yaren then looked at her and answered her query, "I mean, is there something you are interested in, perhaps coding in general?" Ava then looked at her and said "Yes, but it's an individual one."

Yaren exhaled with glee, "Really? Tell me! Tell me!" Ava revealed, "I suppose I dabbled a little in reverse engineering." with a shrug. Yaren wondered, "Reverse engineering, huh. You are one of those nerds who spends time on the internet, aren't you? Ava with mild offense, retorted "Hey don't blame me, there is a thrill in understanding knowledge, but it's not like I can do reverse engineering or software analysis with every computer. You know their licensing agreements?" Yaren disclosed, "Mhm, I have been dabbling onto circuit design. You know just the simple engineering stuff", trying to not stick out like a sore thumb before Ava

Ava then asked, "What did you do with circuit design or this engineering of yours?" Yaren replied "Oh just simple hobbyist stuff… I think some in our section probably have free time exploring their technical tick. If anything I do AI and circuit design."

Ava scratched her head and perked up, "I also do AI too… But I am more into cybersecurity if anything. I like breaking security codes and bending technologies too." Ava with her cybernetic mind imagines the possibilities her eyes are darting left and right, up and down.

Her mind processes all the things of the digital world. Where life of others takes in a tool of corrective predictive analysis, and the gamification that comes through it.

Ava then continued with, "Yeah…. But there are still things I don't understand yet."

Yaren then gazes forth, her head moved forward as she makes a slight slouch, "Then what would that be?"

Ava answered, "Emotions and stuff. I know, it is embarrassing I lived my life as a human but never do I ponder the nature of emotion. I just have them. What are emotions like?"

Yaren then replied with curiosity"Huh emotions.. How do I say it? It's hard to lay it down in a computer like algorithm. Sometimes Biology and Computers are of different properties but with the advancement of our world regarding cybernetics and bioinformatics. The two are getting blurred"

Yaren divulged with "As for me I do feel emotions, I feel like I want to do things but so I did but union of that with others it causes trouble. I don't know how I can conduct myself with others. My emotions are something I am just born with. Maybe I don't really know how to socialize"

Yaren then morphed from childish vigor to disappointing confusion. Yaren wasn't able to tether herself properly in social norms nor can she cogitate them well, yaren then looked at Ava and inquired "Do you know how to socialize? I mean, I gave it a 60% percent chance you can socialize but only given that you have a proper background and education; you struck me as highly introverted."

Ava answered her question, "No, I can socialize I believe but sometimes with others it's just awkward, I can carry a light hearted conversation but I will just get bored right away." Yaren then again looked disappointed she saw Ava's apparent stoicness in that dialogue.

Ava then detected a slight movement in yaren's face and asked "Was I being oblivious?" Ava answered, "I suppose my phrasing and attitude was not appropriate, nor savory…"

"I think of myself as a rather decent person that is highly introverted. But further observation reveals that I am lacking in certain facets, a human needs to experience life. One of the more concerning ones was emotions."

"So I can safely state that I am at the precipice of discovery. What I really want to do, I ought to seek for new experiences. One is defining that my journey in life could forever change, insofar I have found none."

"I mean, this may be a bit cliche but bear with me yaren. I think you and I lack certain things that we are still thinking about. Yours are social skills, mine are emotions."

Ava admits with vindictive intellectual curiosity, "Though I have to say. I think you have room for improvement? Must I say." Yaren enthused with hope, "Wait, you mean I can improve in socializing?"

Ava nodded and thought outwardly, "Most definitely but it's not a guarantee I think." Ava then rotates her body averting her gaze away from Yaren, before. It wasn't until the most obnoxious and swagger of a kind came in named Henry, he appears to be a good looking guy alongside his neat hair, Ava appears to be cognizant and acknowledging of his good look but keeps a steady caution around him. Ava tried to ignore him until Henry smugly smiled and blurted, "I heard Ava has been going in trouble, what happened you became a slut or something." Ava grinned her teeth, "Shut up"

Henry then smugly one up her, as she pressed her head forward as he dwarfs her height he flirted, "Wanna be mine?"

Ava makes a slight on his face,"Stop being perverted and smug, go pick another girl to pander to your whims. Good enough a bimbo"

Ava then continues eating her food with yaren who seems to be chilling with no idea what to do, she was nervous while Ava had chug her food she checks if Henry is around, he seems to be gone off to his odyssey for other girls. Ava doesn't like being used as a plaything, there was no inherent desire for Ava to desire attention for her autonomy is of utmost. Well not yet it seems. As a matter of fact autonomy is the only thing Ava appears to be individuating throughout her whole life, one that has been governing her action and attitude aside from her nanotech genes that had influenced her life from the start. She had no idea why she desires autonomy now.

Ava asks him"Do you play video games?" Ava stares at Yaren.

Yaren slowed with her mouth, "Uhm, no. Mostly just romance virtual reality stories"

Ava answered, "Huh, very typical. I usually play Roleplaying games and RTS." Ava continued her phrase, "Let me think I would play Stellaris, an emulation of it on my computer. Maybe the Mass Effect trilogy and Fallout. I also play Doom."

Yaren with her eyes wide, "Really. I admit I have been dabbling into VR. Trying to interact with characters, if anything trying to improve my social skills but in the end it's been making me more nervous. Because the actions that I thought were shown to be effective in the game don't usually correlate with the people in the real world. Parasocial stings you like a mocking bug."

Ava then puts on a bland face and makes an observation, "So you are the type to have husbandos or favorite character materials in your house?" The tone was a little brash and condescending, but it was enough to unnerve and make the cogs in Yaren's mind start moving where Yaren admitted "I guess."

Yaren confessed "There are some characters I have favor for, like Lucas Graham, Einswell, Eren, 2B, Simon, also Ashley the doll since I see myself in her a bit"

Ava replied, "I suppose that's understandable, after all we do have a fondness for certain things per our unique perspective and attitude on things"

"But again, do you think this is properly conducive for social skill development?"

Yaren said "I don't know, I wish I didn't care about socializing but I am helpless in my craving for acceptance and attention from other people."

Yaren also adds to her confession. "I just want to be someone else, maybe then my gratitude for life would be more appreciative."

Ava nodded with her cybernetic mind, she confessed "I wish I could understand, but I don't know your circumstances all that well to empathize especially in regards to recency or in the past - I am instead lost of what you said."

Ava asked with her other eye flickering "Your relationship with parents? It's not all rainbows and butterflies, right?" Ava continued to inquire more, her curiosity was piqued.

Yaren answered, "Not really, I guess it's just me. I gotta go now it's time" A vague answer from Yaren

Yaren then walked away. Ava then lifted herself from her chair eating her food in the cafeteria watching her fade from the shadows. She then looked at her food and stared at the food with a flight state. She is stunned.

Ava then touched her high tech collar, she was hoping that the collar did not relay any asinine or mortifying recordings.

"I hope I didn't just embarrass myself. The authorities would kill me, especially my mother. If they find anything suspicious." Ava waved her head before finishing her lunch, to return once to class.

Soon after Ava finished her synthetic lunch with Egg and Bread she stood up and made her way. Ava then continued walking as her eyes were taking notice of people enjoying themselves or even being simply complacent in the table, and of course the same obnoxious person who approached her a while back in the dining table just fidgeting with his fingers. At the same time arrogantly tightening his clothes for his next frivolous endeavor.

Ava simply just walked off, she was in a state of tranquility, she just walked into the next lecture. The hallway was featured with lockers and furniture, even with holographic projections of Advertisements.

The neon lights of the hologram and advertisements even the boards are flashing, the AI are civil and polite even to a point of prosocial companionship with others. It wasn't so grimly like the people in the past used to think. Right?

Ava continued to walk in the hallway, brimming with technological activity. Before arriving in the lecture hall. She sat in on the lecture, the topic is about General education and the topic appears pertains to Cybernetics.

The lecturer then proceeds with preliminary to the lecture with "The first pioneer of Cybernetics started with Norbert Wiener. Suggested that cybernetics can be used to treat some issues or malfunction of species by integrating biology with mechanical or electronic apparatus."

"Insofar we made remarkable developments in cybernetics, since our rulers left us a long time ago. We made strides in order to think like them, to process like them and to be like them."

"With cybernetics, we can think and function as extrasensory individuals. The better, the more potent your abilities and talents are. So even if you guys are already at an extrasensory level, why go to a school you ask? When you have everything in your fingertips, instead you are here to have a training and to solidify any information or understanding you downloaded from the VR-Stimulated Learning system when you were babies, you are trained to be a superior generalist than a complacent one. And of course get good at what you were supposed to do."

The lecturer then decides to summon a hologram of the importance of Cybernetics in today's generation, and the projections of animals with their broken legs being magically healed after being merged with an mechanical apparatus.

"It's interesting isn't it."

The lecturer looked up in the hologram, he scrolled the menu left to right and even made mentions about how there used to be fear of transhumanism, which was concomitant with the fear of technological development.

"Many centuries ago, people used to fear technology; now we are ahead of the game and can maintain autonomy. In this age where our extradimensional rulers have disappeared we will do anything to survive, and to process like them. With greater control equals comfort and stability. This isn't arguable."

The lecturer continued a long winded speech on cybernetics, "The academia studies of the moral underpinning within cybernetics has proven to be scarce. Despite this cybernetics are the things of the engineers, business men, and scientists, and many important roles. We have made sure to develop technologies that could tame or at least render anyone with cybernetics as less violent temporarily while in areas of high civilian activity or in important business matters; if anything cybernetics allow us to interface with technology like a second nature, as if it was mere air. The mixing of clay and iron."

The lecturer then proceeded to say "In order to tame the use of cybernetics, every augmentation or unique cybernetic enhancements are to be prized dearly, one at a high cost or in auction. There are many tiers of cybernetics that are being built one for specific roles as blue collar jobs or operators of the kind. We couldn't afford to be democratic with cybernetics as a way to stabilize but we also offer the availability with those who are willing to go far, unless you are willing to build it yourself."

Sebastian then raises his hand up with a perfunctory comment, "Wouldn't the example of a conventional role like cybernetic be like those food-workers in the cafeteria in our school?" while his hand lowering down on the table as he relaxes himself with a sense of ease.

The teacher then pointed at him with a stick and said "Yes, that is one of the many examples of how cybernetics runs our world."

The teacher then decided to continue on with his long-winded lecture about cybernetics, transhumanism of the sorts. Even mentioning Heidegger, a philosopher of the 20st century briefly mentioned in this.

[The question concerning technology]

Ava then thinks about cybernetics for a minute, while the lecturer, whose black hair is long and scuffed, appears to be quite lean but with a nice polished suit. He wears some sort of sunglasses of some sort. I don't know the purpose of the sunglasses, but it's supposed to be a kind of visor. If anything he seems like the nonchalant 'devil may care' teacher with a very dialectic way of speaking.

Ava then pauses for a second before returning back to the present mode, where the lecturer presents himself flawlessly with insights and cross referencing. After all we are supposed to connect and heighten the information that we have downloaded since our young days, the education today is different. We do need to learn to appreciate or achieve a level of depth for those stored information that lies in our cortex's

We can't be superficial. As Ava wanders her eyes into the lecturer whose hair is shown to be disheveled with a sunglasses like visor with indifference. Ava pulled out her hand and looked at it, her mind was already in a state of brief analysis.

Ava stares at it for a while before her eyes are focused on the lecturer. Ava raised her hand and asked with elite student vibes palms shown, "Sir Walden, I have a question. What are your thoughts about emotions and its impact on society?"

Ava stared at the Lecturer with an impassive voice.

The lecturer's head looked at his back facing Ava with surprised eyes and commented, "You are a feisty one. But I suppose you may be just similar like some of your fellow classmates. Fine, I will indulge your inquiry."

The lecturer then looked at the students with his sunglasses, and observed with nonchalance, "Okay, How do I say this. Emotions, well let's say every human has a unique development, some sort of proception. When it comes to ourselves and our part in society we often have a tendency to judge one's own image and identity through the lens of others."

The lecturer lazily with swag then walked around the floor with the holograms and continued with the lecturer's dialogue, "You know our own image of our own identity is malleable. It changes through experiences, relationships, philosophy or whatever you make of it. Could your MOI properly interface with the social world you are in? Do you have the correct development to navigate the social bubble with your relatability or how experienced you are with others."

"It can be said that you may observe unpredictability with other people alongside their clique or circles, and it may be obvious that those people within the circle may only know each other or interact due to propinquity amongst peers, especially the ones they discovered."

"But then it begs the questions… Is socializing a skill that can be developed or is it innate. Could probably be based on one's own nature or character. At the end of the day, if you find relatability with others and can improvise, even listen to whatever others are feeling which would be Empathy. I think you will be fine." The lecturer makes a dip on the end of his line implying that he has come to a conclusion, and wouldn't be expanding more, here he is seen retracting to his chair with almost dead fish eyes staring at the ceiling.

Before looking at the students and saying "Now, where were we? Of course, back to general studies."

And so the lecturer continued a long winded discussion about our life and the advancements we made in this one wonderful complacent technological earth whose colonies and terraforming abilities are advanced but still short in interdimensional science.

Sir Walden then continued on his long winded sentence about general stuff.

-Blah blah blah blah-

Sir Walden then puts out his sunglasses, his eyes focused on the audience. His eyes are now weary. Sir Walden looks at the students "Class is about to be dismissed, you may leave your seats and walk off." said dismissively by the lecturer.

Sir Walden continued to write in his old fashioned paper. Yes indeed an old fashioned paper. Sir Walden continued to write in his paper, as he settled down. On deep thought, his sunglasses on the table as he then looks at papers with an acrid and solemn paint on his face.

Sir Walden rested his eyes weary on the papers as he held them, yes an educational general ed teacher doing an ancient thing. Everyone has left, except Ava who left with her classmates noticed Sir Walden weary nature, the guy looks like he smoked a lot of cigarettes back in his home.

Sir Walden muttered to himself while looking at the papers and the holographically projected images, "These people, they have no idea… what kind of system they are in. Oh well, it's not like I care anyways."

Ava then continued to walk with the classmates of her class. She certainly does feel edified but at the same time she does get nerve-ticked by Sir Walden's attitude.

"Of course he knows something and acts like he's better than everyone, what else should I suppose. That no-care attitude ticks me off"

Ava continued to walk and she had a little catch up with Yaren. Yaren then boisterously walks and enters into Ava's space of course she's like a dim witted popular girl who is actually just a weirdo.

Ava looks at her with surprise in her face as she carries a bag in her back, with left eyes very widened, "Yaren?" Ava speaks.

Yaren then held Ava's hand and shouted, "Ava. It's you, it's been a while since you were gone into that stupid asshole of a teacher…" with a bright smile

Ava then scratched her back with happiness, "Yes, indeed yaren. He can be a bit rough but he certainly has his charm. How about you? Is the class you attended doing well?" Yaren then acted confused, "Weren't we in the same class as you, you are on the same course as I, no?" Ava then scratches her head, "Yeah, Quantum Informatics and philosophy. I get ya" yaren makes a chonky disappointed gesture in her face while her hands in rock mode touch her hips.

"Hmph" Yaren, where she later planned with Ava, "Anyways, what's our plan shall we watch more anime or shows or something entertaining? Or perhaps go outside" Yaren looks at her with ecstatic eyes.

Yaren looked at her and agreed, "Yeah, we can do that." and so Ava and Yaren walked together, the daily life in Sector 451. Ava and Yaren walked to get ice cream, and then Ava looked at Yaren and asked "Do you want to explore space with me one day?" Yaren then looked at her and buoyantly exhaled, "Yes! I would like to explore space with you" with a smile

Ava then smiled and promised like a dreamy fulfiller, "I will make sure of that." Ava then looks at the skies, Ava taps into the wireless network also known as the Internet with her mind. She sees the skies and spaceships with their humming noises and appearance.

Ava looked at Yaren and smiled.

Yaren watched Ava do her magic, "I suppose, Ava you might have seen something interesting. You are not so prospective about certain things" Yaren then clichely say "Lemme guess you found a boyfriend…?" in the most girly typical manner that pricks her to the core.

Ava then flaps her hand, "No, not something boring as that, more about space being full with ships and stuff"

Yaren then looked down and mocked, "Aww bummer, bet you might find yourself an alien boyfriend Ava."

Ava blushes and covers her mouth with her hand and retorted, "Is that something you see in your free-time. Baahahahahaha, That's funny like that will ever happen"

Ava puts on a smug face trying to deflect Yaren's comment.

Yaren noted, "You are quite cynical aren't you? What happen to one of the pretty girl of the class"

Ava flustered and down scale herself, "pretty, I may be above-average but I by no means a celebrity. If you are talking pretty it would be my mother."

Yaren commented, "Your mother, huh. Interesting" Yaren then asks, "What does she look like? Does she look like you in some way?"

Ava noted"Uhhh, no more like a classical natural type. Nothing special, she's not a supermodel though."

Yaren said "I believe you. You do stand out as the reserved beauty but I think you can be more of your mother. I wish I could teach you the social skills but I really don't have any - I might just feel like I am just scamming you."

Ava then held her bag and her eyelids looked down and said "Yeah, I am a reserved type. But I doubt I am anything classical nor traditionally feminine. I suppose you are right. Enough of this talk, why don't we proceed forth with our lovely walk outside?"

Ava invites her in with anticipation, "Why don't you and I come to my house?"

Ava looks at Yaren. Yaren then looked at her with curiosity and said "Really?"

Ava nods, her face turning casual hopeless, "Yes, I don't have much money for books and Interactive PDFs. Let me check."

Ava checks on her credit currency with her mind. She checks if she is frivolous with her wallet for such wants. However she finds that there won't be a right time for it now.

Ava then frowns childishly, "Well I don't have much in me now. It seems"

Ava asked again, "Do you still want to come to my house?" Yaren then scratches the back of her head and nods. Yaren nodded with her blonde hair and said "mhm, I would love to. Plus I really want to get to know you better, I mean like really BETTER. I want to know who your type of men is"

Yaren asked again a tearsome question, "What's your type of man? Is it some hot dude or some BDSM dude or some guy who can capture your heart with sweet words and help you from danger? You know the hero type"

It then proceeded with blah blah

Ava being fed up shut her up, "You talk too much OKAY"

Ava then proceeded to walk, and Yaren apologized, "I am sorry. Ava, I might have been too much. I hear you had books in your home. Do you have anything that can teach me how to interact with people better."

Ava then held onto her bag on her back and marched forward waiting to make her insight known, "Yes, I do. Though I believe they are not what you think and probably wouldn't help you in the long run."

Ava echoed with intellectual detachment and academia manner, "I have been thinking of exploring other planets or colonies of the solar system just to get more knowledge, especially something that's out of reach of our human hands."

Ava tells her, "The library may not be enough. I need access to something strange and unknown."

Ava then apologizes to herself and to yaren for an unnecessary soliloquy, "My apologies, I got a little off-topic"

Ava then breathed in and out before proceeding to walk with a now more calculated grace in the hopes of diverting her mind to something else. Ava was trying hard to divert Yaren from suspecting something, Ava has been learning psychology for a while but her knowledge is very crude.

Mostly on the cunning application side of it, it may not work on everyone but for Yaren who is impressionable it should be able to distract her mind from the predicament she made.

Ava then proceeded to make her steps trying to relax her manners and posture and focusing on her inner confidence even her cybernetic brain working in tandem (Yes, this is a subconscious effort), Ava continues to walk gracefully, trying to keep herself calculated and poise as possible trying to walk away from the potential ignominy it will happen

Yaren watches Ava walk, this kind of walking - she never seen her like this before. Yaren then nodded and asked if Ava lived in a mansion or something.

Ava with embarrassment, "Just stop assuming… I don't live in a mansion. I am just an ordinary girl with cybernetics."

Yaren with concern and child-like curiosity, "Oh so, what kind of cybernetics? Did you purchase them yourself?"

Ava answered slowly, "Congenital… really. I think everyone at this point has cybernetics but more so when it comes to economically thriving societies or areas."

Yaren answered, "Huh, I have been willing to invest in it. Are your parents scientists of sorts?"

Ava's face turned into a grimace and reluctance, "I am not at liberty to say, I suppose I have been blessed by it. I was driven by my own cybernetics to pursue computer security and artificial intelligence, and now quantum informatics."

"I can't imagine what it's like to not have them, makes me feel like a superhuman." Ava looks at her hands, her pride swells on her face as she looks at her hand but she confessed something

"I am still missing something though. What it means to be human, to feel, to empathize, I see people operating within layers of abstractum that I don't seem to understand but even I feel them. It's like alexithymia. Usually humans wouldn't have such trivialities grappling things like this since they have embraced the arbitrary - and so in their ability to bridge between emotions and logic but not for a girl who's cybernetically enhanced from the very inception."

Yaren with curiosity, "Huh, no wonder why you are such a reserved doofus. Your problem with emotions isn't necessarily you, you were just merely asynchronous with your development. Over reliance on cybernetics that you forgot the emotional needs or the necessity of introspection."

Ava being impressed complimented her emotional intelligence, "That's the smartest line you can say with your doofus social skills, and your paucity of feedback with reality. Guess we are both doofuses"

Yaren dismissed her with a pose where she crossed her arms, "I wouldn't put you as a more arrogant doofus out there." Ava with the same detachment turned hopeful said, "Perhaps. Yaren, whatever the case is I am still me. I don't know myself better than others but things in facet are easy. Just not with heavy theory, I prefer applications even if they defy conventional laws of physics or whatever. But I have my own interests. I guess I can say I am a savant of sorts." Ava smiles smugly unto yaren face breaking her elegant pose

Yaren about to turn sarcastic, "Wow, looks like someone could be a superwoman. That's just how insane cybernetics can be. Life is easy, education is easy - though I don't really struggle with education - I don't think anyone with cybernetics will struggle with education at all. After all we are in a transhuman age" Ava with worldly acceptance, "perhaps, technology makes life very easy. I suppose we should give thanks to our rulers. I don't know who they are. But I am grateful for their gifts"

And so Yaren feverishly bowed on the floor, where Ava was a little stunned with her eyes widening. Ava said "Not like that, no need to be that feverish. Just do it like a normal bow with your head" Yaren shocked and stopped herself where they both about to playfully bow

And so Yaren and Ava bow their heads and say "Thank you for the generosity of your technology, dear deity."

Ava now tired, "Ah, that was a little religious time to cut the religious crap now. Wanna go get some food?"

Yaren gleamed with excitement, "Yeah. That will do", and so the two get their ice cream. They went to an area where a space shuttle with an ice cream poster clung on its wall. Its wings are like that of an eagle and its design is sleek but old. Probably an old derelict ship that has been repaired over the years, it was in the sky for a while about to land.

The shuttle landed in the terrain, and then the door shuttle open'd where a man emerged, a man with a bald head and regular clothes with an apron, he brought a box of ice creams for anyone to purchase with credits. I assume he was here to do a business for the sake of which, but delivering ice creams across the world with a spaceship - Imagine how cool that felt.

The man looked at the two girls and waved his hand about to advertise to them,, "Hello, there. Welcome to my store, want some ice cream?"

Ava answered, "Hello Mister, yes a good ice cream wouldn't be so bad plus you came with excellent timing."

The man put his hands on his hips and laughed, "hohohoho, don't mention." The man then fiddled with the box, tapped on some button to unveil frozen ice creams, he then proceeded to say "Hold on girls this will take some time. He then plays with the box interface and ice creams start to slowly heats up before descending down from the stairway of the shuttle to hand the two girls their ice creams.

The man requested with integral diligence, "You might want to transfer some credits. Sorry ma'am, rules are rules."

Ava looked at Yaren and teased, "Who's paying? Hey, bet you might learn a few skills of socializing if you buy it for me. You know, treat it as XP for socializing?" while whispering this to her ears.

Yaren being naive decided to rush for it, and handed her card, it's like a (debit card but it's not named that more like a Money-Transferee card due to state-of-the-art security and its magnetic hold with the owner). The man held the card and used a device to scan it, the transaction was successful. Man overcome with overjoyed happiness, "Done, enjoy the ice cream girls. Come back if you need anything but I will be in a different area. Here feel free to subscribe to my channel for any news of the areas I will be appearing in. And yes it is intended - I have control over this"

And so the two girls left, Ava touched her own collar, "I guess it's not so bad to be a normal girl. Even though I am quite distinguished from other people" Ava looked at Yaren and smiled. Ava continued to walk with her while eating her ice cream.

Ava continued knowing there is not much to say, "I suppose there is nothing to talk about now, we should be making adventures. What do you think, Yaren?" Yaren said "Yeah, going shopping wouldn't be so bad. Ohhh yeah how about the whole visit to your house thingy?"

Ava looked at her face and cautioned her, "Well, don't be too surprised by anything once you arrive in my house."

Yaren scratched her head with acknowledgement, "Okay, sure fine. I will make sure of that"

Ava then leads the way to her house, her walking is poise and silent. Ava continues to walk, she thinks about the cartoons or entertainment she watched, the romance novels she read which she's trying to get a grapple of, concerning the concept of romance.

Ava is still lost in thoughts, but nevertheless she must savor this moment with yaren, one of her earliest friends she manages to make in the university she is enrolled in - or at the very cruel least the first friend she makes.

Only because they both have their own pre-existing issues, with Ava lack of understanding of her emotions due to her cybernetic nature, and yaren's social awkwardness. (Don't know if that's relatable to you)

Yaren remarks with blank eyes, "You seem like someone who could talk to anyone, are you really sure you don't have an understanding of your emotions because if you don't I can always tautologically assume that you at least have an understanding of other people's emotions. Do you play as an engineer with other people's emotions"

Ava didn't seem to understand her question and further disclose, "I read books about it, you know. It's my only leeway for myself, you know? I am still lost"

Ava continued, "I don't know why, but I just enjoy reading them as an insight of myself and the others around them." Yaren asked "What do you mean, by that? You mean you enjoy reading about others. Especially with that enhanced brain of yours" Ava nods, "Just because I have an enhanced brain doesn't necessarily mean I get to understand others in a way that has a mosaic tapestry, and I don't think I have an enhanced brain, I only have an cybernetic one. One for basic things and for connecting to the internet without a computer. But still even I need a computer to do my stuff - I have my limitations Yaren, and I am here to overcome them one way or another. Emotions are one of them, I didn't think I had to ponder them until now."

Ava extends and apologizes, "I am sorry for the long speech" Ava faces her head down and her hand is in her face is in embarrassment.

Ava then looked into her eyes, "How do you guess that I am into that then?" Ava ask while her eyes are staring at Yaren face and ask "Because you act like an aristocrat, your actions do not seem real and frankly put you are not the same Ava I have watched you since our college years, our early meetup, I thought you were just some pretty girl who is uninterested in anyone, but that's particularly per your reserved nature but now you are like an aristocrat who has dealt with people before. While I know you are not an aristocrat by means and that you are just a lucky girl with cybernetics, I still think you are way better than me when it comes to getting along with others - and I hope you don't weaponize your knowledge of psychology with others."

Ava shrugs her shoulders, "I can't make promises, how about this I can help you learn to socialize with others with only a more curated of what I know. Is that a deal?"

Ava raises her hand morphing to a hand shake, yaren in her naivety was still pondering, she knows Ava has a way for her to overcome her social skills, but yaren instincts tell her that she has bigger plans and that she is on a path to something worse. Yaren became concerned, "You may have something invaluable that I don't, but I can't trust you. I am worried Ava, what happens when you turn against those whom you are bound with. What happens if you turn into perfidy what happens when you destroy those only because of the greed that lies in your heart."

Ava was shocked, "No, I WON'T destroy you or anyone. Neither me nor you nor anyone would be destroyed. You don't understand! Yaren I have the means necessary to reach something that only a few in their self-actualization journey could reach. I could reach the heavens with my indomitable will. But I lack power, and that power is necessary to reach that fruit of superior knowledge. If I can't have it, fine, think what you want to think!"

Ava apologized, "I am sorry, yaren. Maybe you are right after all. I don't know myself all that well. Do you still want to come to my house, you don't have to trust me on everything. Then we can go our separate ways" Yaren with her emotion assuaged, "I suppose that's fine Ava. I don't mean to hurt you, I am just jealous.. After all, I wish I was just like you. I just said things out of line, you sorta remind me of those? I don't know too much of a perfect girl. And I was just trying to find your faults of a human"

Ava looks at her with a blank face and says "Trust me, I am smarter than most people but that's only by extension of my cybernetic. I have lived with cybernetics my whole life and it was given to me. I am nothing but a hybrid of artificial intelligence and human, my interest for psychology was late Yaren because something awakened in me, and I don't mean to exaggerate it spiritually. I just think I am more than my cybernetics and I want to find that out even if it means reading darker literature." Ava then grabs Yaren's shoulders and says "Yaren, in order for me to find my true purpose and spiritual self I must embark on an expedition, can you respect that?"

Yaren with her eyes becoming disinterested, dismissing her existential concerns as something redundant, "Oh please, why the need to find yourself. You can just be egotistical already with perfect justifiable reasons. Why the need for such pointless stuff of high potential. It's a fluff Ava, in this world we are ranked by our most viable traits and material wealth. It's just the way it is, a living utopian of our own making."

Ava listened and agreed, "Yes that is true, I have every right to be egotistical. But neither is that enough I lived my life as a tabula rasa, my cybernetics controls me and I have realized that sooner than later"

Ava confessed, "I realize I have said too much and confessed too much, the collar has picked up its auditory pattern and my impulses. Great, just as things are about to get worse."

Yaren's eyes then widened where she looked at the collar, "Oh, the collar. I suppose I can trust you now for a bit since you are still being monitored by juvenile law enforcement as punishment for your curfew"

Ava said with acceptance "Fair enough, can I show you my house now instead of this fruitless argument?"

Ava then puts a palm on her face and instructs Yaren, "Just follow me, don't say anything more" Ava then makes a move on. Ava begins to walk, that was the end of all the ruckus she had with Yaren with them being one-to-one together.

Ava makes way, she has Yaren to follow her, Ava continues to walk without saying anything knowing that it's wise to not say anything to invite more chaos while her collar is still wearing her neck.

The buildings continue to look minimalistic as possible with a grain of alien architecture. The lack of pollution in the air, and the serene display of the sky that is completely unpolluted it was so clean, its ecology is so unlike the others. Ava looked at the skies and glanced at them, "Yeah I am aware, the 21st century would have pumped gas in the air through fossil fuel causing some sort of greenhouse effect. But with photonic energy, this is now reduced.

Scientific breakthroughs and decades of advancements allow the exploitation of electromagnetic radiation to something electrical through photon transfer that circulates throughout the electrical system generating wattage thus preserving the ecology.

However engineers require a very clever and careful control of the electromagnetic radiation, one electromagnetic radiation inducer going offline can short circuit or even cause a domino effect amongst the photonic energy circuits causing instability, some require the use of scientists and AI for computation and regulation but most of the power sources are merely done in control theory. While zero-point energy remains largely theoretical due to miniscule yields, photonic energy has proven to be the most efficient large-scale quantum solution by far.

If one wants to create a factory or industry of zero point energy, one needs to create a large quantum vacuum propagation thus fitting a large vacuum of heisenberg uncertainty or whatever just to generate huge wattage from zero-point energy or whatever. It's like cryptomining now, but very expensive and non-minimalistic."

Ava started to iterate her thoughts, "At the very least, they make good beacons though. Ahhhh, what a boring pleasant life in sector 451, this stupid place gets old. Have we reached the point where we have all the sci-fi from our past in our present? I don't know and I don't want to entertain that."

Ava became curious as she looked at her friend, "Hey yaren, what are the coolest things you see from a manga and cartoon show."

Yaren answered with her eyes going up, as her finger touches her chin, "I don't have anything in mind, maybe that guy from code geass, or when things are in a battle" Ava stare at her for a bit, "You sure that was the coolest things, how about the sci fi and magic stuff we don't have in our world yet?"

Yaren then scratched her chin, "Hmmmmm, interesting. There is still stuff, stuff like magic hasn't existed in this world but recorded history - we do not call them magic we call them science supremacy." (information marginalized by VR-Stimulated Learning system)

Yaren makes a casual quip, "Science supremacy, get it!? because the impossible becomes possible. Whatever it is that generates enormous energy or whatever you call 'magic' has been nothing but theoretical! as in the case of what I call coolest is the things we haven't managed to replicate or debunk in comics and such"

Yaren further her own perked up scientologist interest, "Say for example, I put that aside. What's the coolest thing I see in entertainment I don't know, I always see the coolest stuff but the memorable one" Yaren then starts fidgeting her legs and fingers, "It could be when the main character arise from the ground and starts to pick up a pace and reaches a new level of development."

Ava became interested, "Oh that's a very typical hero moment. I like that kind of tropes, though common, are quite nice to observe."

Yaren agreed with hesitation, "I guess you can say. Energizing and inspiring!"

Ava then continued to look forward and proceeded to walk until she could reach her house while whispering to her, "just 320 miles away. So apparently we are quite near to my house"

Ava then looked at the buildings, it's starting to resemble houses, modern futuristic houses - almost a little bit of organicness and metallic sheen. Ava makes an update, "Indeed, we are in my neighborhood. It has been a nice walk with you dear Yaren"

Yaren focuses on her walk, "Likewise, ava. Let's continue to walk." Ava laughed while saying, "You are charming in your own way, yaren. Even though you can be weird. Us having our perfect quirks though mine is a lot more subtle than you"

Yaren mused, "So much for a perfect classical cyborg"

Ava retorted, trying to downplay any perception, "Ahaha, I am not gonna be a hero or anything just yet."

Yaren being skeptical, "Mhm. I envy you Ava. You have the right to be egotistical but you are still yearning for something but I suppose that's just how it is, within our ego that's trying to find meaning in this world."

Ava then exaggerates, "har har har, I am a goddess forged in iron and clay. Worship and bow before me, for I am made perfect by the heavens. Is that better now nerd? Does that tick your comic preferences?"

Yaren pretend to be amused, "Bahahahahaha, that is funny"

Ava made a small arch on the left side of her mouth and said nothing.

Ava is then seen still walking as yaren continues to be on her side as they continue to stride across the neighbourhood. Time was slowing down for them.

The buildings resemble futuristic with a little bit of organicness imbued with metallic sheen, but bordering on minimalism. As they walk, things are starting to unfold slowly Ava can feel it, how she can sense her house nearby she is close now.

Ava then says "Here is my house."

Ava looks at the house, the house looks like it has a second floor, and it retains a very classical traditional house with foldable windows and a door with built-in state of the art biometrics and a futuristic like door knob.

Ava then presses her thumb on the door knob, where she inputs a passcode as a second authentication that only she and her parents know. She pressed on it, where she rotated it and the slider inside the door mechanism shuts open, where Ava pushes the door to the side.

Ava Looks at yaren from her back, her blonde hair and brown eyes are still waiting for Ava to welcome her to her house for a visit. Ava said "This is my house. You like it?" Yaren looked at her and said nothing, where she nodded and then entered the domicile. Ava is then seen lifting her other leg up as she is inside the door with a collection of shoes on the drawers, well they are not visible but you can really open it by pressing some sort of magnetic touch sensor on its font for it to electrically slide open for the heel to be placed inside.

As Ava then repeats the same process for her other heel and places it inside the drawer, as the pair of heels are stored together inside the drawer. Where Ava nonchalantly taps the front of the drawer again and the electrical slider of the drawer then pushes itself back thus closing. Ava makes her feet step on the house floor.

Yaren observes the custom Ava has to do, and it strikes her that Ava lived in a very well mannered background, it's almost like she is in an asian and decent house replete with gadgetry and convenience - Stereotypical asian nerd, but it's not uncommon when you are in the 28st century. Year 2715

Now then, Yaren followed Ava and abided with the customs of removing her shoes. Yaren then landed her two feet on the floor of the building with Ava entering the kitchen, Ava shouted "I'm home mom." Yaren with her blonde hair and brown eyes with a fair skin complexion followed along.

Behold a female with Dark Brown hair, she appears to be of slender with a delicate build with almond eyes whose pigment is like hazel. Yes, the very definition of a feminine woman whose youth is outwardly eminent. Ava then looks at Yaren introducing her mother and says "This is my mother."

However Cassandra smiles and says "No need for the formal introduction. I already know who your friend is, since you are still under surveillance after your juvenile law detention. I have the right to know what you are planning, your geolocation, especially your impulsive speeches!"

Cassandra Lee with a warning eyebrows and stare, "Ava, if you repented everything of the impulsive speeches you said with your partner here. I will pardon you asap" the mother then approached Yaren with grace, "My apologies, as you may have seen my sweetheart has a collar on her, so I had no choice but to be strict with her and to inculcate her law abiding behavior. I presume you are her friend named Yaren? Welcome to the house."

Yaren's eyes became anxious she was awestruck by her elegance, "Likewise, I understand quite well that you want your daughter to be a true civilian and that is a completely within boundaries of an parental figure"

The mother put a palm on her cheek where she followed with, "Oh my, look what we have. You made quite a significant friend in spite of your reserved robotic nature. How delightful of my offspring."

where Cassandra puts two of her hands at her back, her eyes already simmering in calculations it seems that she has recognized her neglect of Ava's teenage rebellion and had a deal with the father to ensure Ava's maintenance.

Ava watched as the mother charmed her friend with almost vixen wiles, she was really exuding hospitable vibes. Ava then rolled her eyes and informed, "Meet me on the second floor, yaren. And mother, why don't you continue caring for Max?" Then the mother confidently smiled with her arms in a cross, "Fret not, Ava. He has been doing fine in my care, and I made sure to prioritize you concurrently" with her head looking down with her eyes open.

Ava nodded, "Thanks, I will go and hang out with my friend now." Ava rushes in upstairs to head to her room.

Ava, "What is up with her…" Ava shaked her head and dismisses any thoughts. Ava looked at yaren with a prideful invitation, "Here is my room, yaren. You like it?"

Yaren looked around and was astounded at the same time confounded Ava's room was messy but its only cluttered with tech and books, apparently Ava was a bit too preoccupied with coding to even care that the she dropped a single tech out of convenience that she would be distracted trying to clean her things.

Yaren complimented, 'Yes, a very nice room.' With no further explanation nor elaboration it was pain and simple sentences that came out of her mouth, as if this was the very thing she expected and at the same time find amusing.

Her room was of a typical hacker girl, but Ava is more than just a hacker girl; she is a superhero. Ava then walks to her computer, and starts elegantly pressing keyboards she checks on her main monitor.

Ava looked at the decryption and the reverse engineering project she has been passively working on.

Ava looked into the bytes and the decompiling view of the monitor she is looking at, a vulnerability looking at a simple program with a vulnerability, a line of code that points to a memory pointer which is vulnerable to an attack. A potential zero-day exploit.

Is she close to breaking the code? It doesn't matter, Ava is closely locked in. Ava gasped for air, and looked at Yaren "Where were we?" with an enthusiastic smile.

Ava asks, "Do you want to play some games?" Ava looked into Yaren, Yaren nodded, "Yeah sure" while still looking at the techy terminals that are in her computer with an etch of concern and intrigue on what she was working on.

Ava went through every closet of every messy gadget she tried to jailbreak for the thrill of feeling like a master of every one of them. Ava scoured, throwing the gadgets flippantly while trying to find a cheap game console she once had with the controllers just to spend some time with Yaren.

Ava grabbed something and joyed, "Found it" Ava stood up, and vehemently suggested, "let's play." Ava sat down on the floor and invited yaren to play a simple virtualized boxing game.

A 3D hologram of both fighters, ranging from characters who are cyborg, humans, aliens, or machines the hologram is small and perceivable. Ava's cyber brain continues to calculate moves with precision and with enhanced focus however Yaren tells her to turn off those cyber brain and play fair

Yaren with personal frustration speaks her tongue, "Ava, I know you have that enhanced mind of yours, but could you at least tune it down and tap into your human mind for a while. It's not fair" Yaren gets frustrated losing to Ava, and with cognizance of her intellect. Ava's head fell down, "Ah, you got me. I suppose I should play fair now" Ava focused on her mind trying to reach to the subconscious to let her think like a human for a while, it was a real struggle. Ava's eyes became more stressed, it's as if cybernetics has been integrated into her identity, that every breath of her thoughts are merely a collage of her cybernetics and human mind - it was a struggle, is she a new species of this world?

Ava reached out to her subconscious or any freudian part of her mind to turn these cybernetic fibers that are entangled with her head, reducing the action potential impact of these artificial neural cells for enhancing computation in a cognitive level, its like axons but more refined and nanotech

Ava forces her mind, "Focus, focus. Try to reduce the artificial computation on the head." Ava makes another attempt,"Trying to tie it out." Ava lost focus in trying to suppress the cybernetics in her mind, it was already a standard her mind is literally a hybrid of robot and human - and there is nothing to do about it unless she bites an EMP grenade on her mouth and have it explode causing a temporary short circuit in her neural-cybernetic physiology or at the very least permanent damage.

Ava balked at the thought of that she waved her head and tried to play it cool, "Alright, I will play fair my dear friend" and so Ava recalculates her steps and decides to not overthink, hoping it would not let her mind syncretize with her transhumanist cognition almost instantaneously deciding to play the game fair. Ava as she suppresses her mind, "Sorry, why don't we continue the game" Ava looks at Yaren's eyes while sitting.

Ava continues to play trying to control the fighter she is playing with in a holographic project video game. Ava starts pressing her joysticks and buttons like a normal girl, while trying to remind or fixate her supergo on suppressing the nanotechnology that's been embedded in her brain since birth.

-Press controller's button

-Twirls joystick around

-Press controller's buttons

Cycle repeats again with inconsistent patterns but frenetic, but on Ava the other side more relaxed

Yaren starts to win, she gets a little happy. Ava looked at her face and smiled "Hope that makes you happy" Yaren then became curious, "You really did manage to suppress your nanotech brain no?" Ava with happiness, "Yeah, I manage to, at least experience human fragility with you." Ava then smiles with bittersweetness.

Her cybernetic brain was her pride and her tool bestowed by the highest society's echelon of scientific achievement.

But for the first time she was able to connect with someone through her own human self, without the use of a transhumanist brain. Her own thoughts are human and she can be on equal footing with her own mind playing against Yaren in a fighting simulator game.

Ava losses are starting to number, it was an even match now. Ava has successfully detached herself from her cybernetic cognition, although it may just be her trying to play fair without trying to think too much of it. Soon Yaren would win, which annoys her. Ava accepted her defeat knowing doing this would serve her in the near future. And so Ava continued to do her act where she pretended to struggle and fight while suppressing her cybernetic mind. The liberation for overthinking, the feeling of being human.

Ava finally exhausted, "Alright, I am tired. I don't want to play this game anymore"

Ava stands up and rests, where she continues to lay down and watch a movie in her head. Her cybernetic brain visualizes in real time. Ava continues to watch a movie about Pirates of the Caribbean.

Ava rests on her bed as gravity pulls her down, "Yoo hoo, matey thats a pirate. Woohoo captain jack"

Yaren looks at her, "Seriously so you are just going to lay down there! watching movies, that's not fair Ava you could at least use a television instead you bum!"

Ava got annoyed, her head nerves were ticking, "Who are you saying bum!" Ava stood up and started to shout "You wanna watch tv?!" Ava started to walk where she lent the remote to Yaren and told, "go watch, the tv is on the back of my desktop!"

Ava rests on her bed and relaxes, resuming the movie she is watching in her head, while yaren is still thinking what to do with it - she turns on the tv as she watches. Meanwhile Ava is just in her bed laying staring at the ceiling watching a movie in her head.

Ava watches, while yaren does her own thing watching the TV with bitterness she was getting bored she decides to read the books that are scattered on the floor, and what she found out is a 'The Complete guide on humans' and there is another book that says 'How to manipulate 101' Yaren stood quiet she grabbed the remote and increased the volume to deafen ava on what she is doing. Ava continues to rest on her bed watching the pirate movie she is enjoying.

Ava continues to be immersed, yaren continues to look at the books she has been reading manga, romantic novels, even cliche, and stuff. "My day as a heroine", "I became a witch and dominated the world" "Horus Heresy" "Stellaris Strategy" and any comics pertaining to science fiction

Yaren awe, "Wow, that's a lot of science fiction and stuff. Is she really planning to be some sort of political leader" Yaren looks at Ava who is in her bed lying knowing she is watching a movie of sorts. Yaren scratches her chin as she processes her nature, she knows she is gifted with a cybernetic cognition

but she never saw this side of her, could this be an extension of her human self. Is Ava trying to manipulate her? Yaren has no idea how to answer that question all she knows is that she must help her friend tread on the right path. Ava's curiosity is morbid as she doesn't understand humans despite being a human herself, maybe she suffers from aspergers, it's hard to tell. Yaren is starting to overthink to no end.

What if Ava finds out that she knows she's a weirdo or anything she does is weird, oh no she might end up foreseeing her actions, or this is what she must have expected. Yaren waves her head and starts to pack the collection and says "Ava! Your room is such a mess, soo many gadgets and books scattered throughout the floor! Learn some grace!" Ava ignored her as she is too preoccupied with the movie in her head.

Yaren looked around and started cleaning her stuff, until maybe she can borrow a book or negotiate with Ava to let her have the book of how human psychology works that will aid her socializing therapy. Yaren then tapped Ava's shoulder as she lay down her face staring at the ceiling with a query, "May I borrow this book, I think I would enjoy this book" Ava looked at the book and started thinking and had a flat answer, "No. Do you expect me to let you borrow? Yaren?"

Yaren waved her head slowly, "No, but I don't think it would be bad. Look I need this book to help me socialize" however Ava's intuition says no but she understands Yaren's situation, "I get that you wanted to learn socializing from a book. Hold on I have a better one, but I haven't had it pirated"

Ava instantly references and thinks of a book like "How to win friends and be influential" Ava thinks of it, "Do you want the physical book or pirated ebook itself" Yaren with her civil conscience, "I prefer the physical book" Ava said, "very well. But you have to buy it yourself" Ava connects to the internet and sends the purchase page of the book. Ava then tells her with solidarity, "Listen, you and I are different. I am curious about human nature, on the other hand you want to socialize better. And that highlights our difference, in spite of our difficulties" Ava explains

Yaren nodded with understanding, "I understand, Ava. Thank you for helping me." Yaren decides to pack her things and go home. Ava smiles and waves her hand. Ava looked at her collar, she knows it's still monitoring her for 2 months, in fact she feels annoyed by it.

Ava went to the kitchen and asked Cassandra, "Mom when will I ever get this stupid thing off?" Ava stares at her mother with annoyance. Cassandra looked at Ava with lurched crossed eyebrows, "Like I said 2 months of juvenile punishment"

Ava makes a burlesque request, "Can't you tell father to take this thing off? Hey he is one of the important ones there so you could at least have this collar off without pissing the ruling corporate" Cassandra notices it and enunciates, "Then you have to make a deal. You can't nudge things if you aren't willing to make deals" Cassandra says with wisdom. Ava nodded in acknowledgment, "I see what you're saying" Ava thought of a deal and suggested, "How about I become a research assistant there as an intern. I got high grades in my class and I have my cybernetic implants for assisted research and intelligence. How does that sound to you? Mother? Dad's only invention working for his company" Cassandra notices and was impressed by the teenagers intelligence, she said with reluctance, "Alright let me think about it since you asked"

"I know you are a bright one. Ava" Cassandra says, she continued with, "Being an intern in your fathers work requires more than just wanting to be an intern. It's dedicating yourself to it. Working nonstop and being distant and secretive. Are you sure you want to work in a secret facility?" Cassandra looks at Ava, staring at her considering her answers with rapt and serious attention, it's like a mother who wants to know her daughter's willpower.

Ava looks at Cassandra then nods her head. Ava's face brimmed with confidence, "You can be well-assured, that I would perform well", but her mind is trying to calculate her own ability to do the job. Ava reflected on some requisites, "I might need to learn the functions of the occupation roles, and to be appropriately assigned."

Cassandra looked at her and asked, "Do you think you can be accepted by them? Even if you are a mere child who is learning her place in the world, do you think just because you have that cybernetic brain and you want to have that collar off your neck? That you can just work for a secret company?"

Ava with emotion confessed, "Certainly, I wish to learn from them. I…..", Ava paused for a second and turned sorely wishful with her phrase, "Maybe I can be with my father for once, and see how he works.. If anything.. if I work there maybe I could feel special"

Cassandra looks at her, and expressed, "I would forward your concern with your father" Ava was grateful, "Thank you for understanding" Ava then went up and stairs and continues working on coding with all those techy stuff, monitors even gadgets, other than the reverse engineering project she has been doing to a universal translator she has been working on trying to hack it with her mind, she has been typing to feel a bunch of binaries from the device with only her mind and touch. Trying to establish a wireless connection with it only with her mind.

Ava then feels the binary in her mind, and types it out in the compiler. She finds vulnerabilities in the device, analyzing them.

She spends time analyzing the code with efficacy, she was focused on her computer trying to find a vulnerable network protocol inside the device so she can create a program to connect to it, while she uses one of her programs for turning binary sample and translate it to assembly language she looked at it and started creating a program to connect to the protocol, breaking it.

Finally she finally connected the program to the device, overriding its function, she changed the firewalls of the device and then corrupted a fake data sheet in its monitoring devices or perhaps even removed every record of it. So now the collar is now just an accessory to her, something that looks pretty in her appearance, just like the gossip others have whispered.

Ava celebrated in victory, "Yes, I have done it . Though I have to say that was one of my least impressive stuff I did. Now I can do anything I want without being monitored 24/7, yippie!" Ava starts dancing, into playing games on her monitor rather happily being able to make success with her exploitation.

Ava rejoices with her smile, "I am the best!"

Ava types rapidly on the monitor, playing with the terminal on the screen. She types a bunch of codes in her computer, as she plays with the memory of the collar device just to create a backdoor to it.

Ava decided to rest now, where she lay again on her bed - But of course her mind connects to the internet, perceiving connections over connections

The internet was a full of things, the stimulation, everything it was addicting she was absorbing things with just steady precision

(Thread forums, Tor Subnet, Forums, and even news)

(She was absorbing things in a steady pace, she see the life in the internet - the clutter of mess unfurling in the internet and more)

(She relaxed, and decided to turn off her connection to the internet deciding to not want to do with anything but process all the information in her head)

She has already absorbed suicides, breakup relationships, femcel and incel bubble threads, even blackpill (which she was sure it won't affect her) and also some porn. There are also threads about otherworldly remnants that are rumored to be selling in the black market, not unusual but very rare to encounter it, since most are scams and it's not entirely sure that this deal may be trusted.

There also illegal deals like hiring a hitman, hire a prostitute, and stuff

Ava wanted to take a break from this stuff, it's hurting her health and mentality she became confused, quite confused. She ordered some sort of Serotonin stabilized pill to make herself feel better. She already had enough from her dose of the internet

She took the medicine pills and went downstairs to interact with this smart dispenser device to get herself, she grabbed a glass and filled it with water and drank it to her throat. Her mouth is slurping on the glass.

"Ah that's better. I can finally not think about anything, soo many thoughts. This way I can relax"

Ava started to walk upstairs, she went back to her bed to rest.
