"What do you mean the barrier is not coming down?" Mira demanded, walking towards the barrier and touching it.
Just then, another scream sounded, louder than the first one. "We have to get out there!" Ana shouted. "Someone is probably getting hurt right now."
Ryn looked up at the barrier, then at Jani. It wasn't because he was suspicious of him but because he was trying to figure out why the barrier refused to come down. Jani had created the barrier, but it wasn't coming down.
He ran his hand through his hair, his breath hitching as he thought of what was happening. There was no way in hell someone had tampered with the barrier because it had only been an hour or so since Chen sent them to this side of the hill, and Jani had set the barrier.
So why wasn't it opening? Could it be the creature that had intentionally locked them in there?
