The moment he caught sight of his brother standing amongst the grandmasters, he instantly knew all hell was about to break loose, and his brother would do everything possible to pin the blame on Ryn.
All because of him. He hated that Sheng always stooped so low just to make him suffer. Why would he even think that Ryn was capable of such a thing?
It was as if Sheng wanted him to believe that all of this was nothing but punishment without a reason at all.
"So if that's the creature whose name is unknown, then it's dark magic," Minister Hao, Veyr's father, declared. "That omega boy must be the one who summoned it."
Veyr's fists clenched so tightly his knuckles burned as he turned toward his father, his eyes glowing blood red. Before he even realized it, the words escaped his lips. "What makes you think that Ryn summoned the creature?"
