"You!" Ryn repeated as his eyes met Veyr's azure eyes. "What are you doing here?"
He had not expected him to show up at the mansion, especially not after what had happened between them.
Just as Veyr was about to respond, his eyes flashed at something behind Ryn. "Watch out!"He shouted.
Ryn turned for a few seconds and caught a glimpse of Chen rushing toward him with a sword, but he was pushed backward by Veyr.
"Have you gone insane!" Veyr roared. "How dare you touch what's mine!"
The room went still, and no one could meet his eyes. It wasn't because he was a superior alpha but because of his family's history.
The Ardens weren't only rune masters but also superior alphas alongside Kael's family, the Ignivars.
"You dare hurt him after inviting him to your home!"
Ryn's eyes widened in shock, knowing that Veyr had found out about the invitation and could have chosen not to come after the awkward moment between them but did.
