Lyra pretended not to have heard. She knew he was lying to her. His face was burying his inner turmoil which she could still see so perfectly.
She'd even overheard what the second healer whispered to him before, so ofcourse he was trying to save their heads. He seemed to be the elderly amongst the three.
"Why are you lying to her? Tell her the truth! She'll think that we're lying and have us beheaded!" One of the healers snapped at him through mind link.
Luna Lyra heard her loud and clear.
They might not be aware of it but she had activated the mind link with Alpha Damien on the night of their mate bonding.
As if she knew he would leave her by the side and hanging without treating her like his Luna.
So since she had done that, any conversation had by Raven Blood pack members through the mind link, she would hear it if she's in close range.
The healers didn't know because Alpha Damien hadn't activated it before everyone.
