"What are you saying, ma? I would never try to disobey you intentionally, " Carolyn mumbled.
I glared at her. This woman who I had tried to help has been the only one causing more misunderstandings between me and the Alphas. She kept making it look like I was such a bad person, despite everything that I was doing for her. And now, her eyes were misting like she was about to cry.
Taking a deep breath, I rose from the bed. "Then, why are you here? You didn't even bother to knock. At the last pack you were, didn't the Alphas teach you anything about courtesy and how to respect your superiors?" I snapped.
She lowered her head, not saying a word. Her fingers pulled at her scarf, trying to cover her face even more.
"Josie is asking you something," Kiel grumbled.
