Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: [Gratitude and-]

Mitiario kept elaborating on the Titans and Tales book that Tycheia was keen on hearing about. The details of the book followed their world known as Gaia. Named after the mother of all living beings, and goddess of their home, including the long living landmasses of the titans, those which are inhabited by a variety of smaller scale species, such examples would be the humans that both Mitiario and Tycheia found themselves to be a part of.

Tycheia: "Hmmmm, but Theooo, shouldn't there be more than what's listed on here?? Half of this book seems fake according to what you said beforeee!"

Mitiario: "What more can you even expect here? This world is already large enough with these massive scale creatures that we live on. And I never said anything about this before?

Tycheia: "Tch! Theo's so rude to me, he wasn't like this beforeeee."

Mitiario: "Still no idea about this "before" stuff, sorry."

Scowling innocently at the remarks Mitiario gave the girl for his supposed contradiction to the book, Tycheia continued to pout and glare rudely to Mitiario during their walk through the forest. Throughout this conversation, Mitiario was looking more at the words throughout the book Titans and Tales, reading more upon the sections involving the varying titans, specifically at one section that seemingly had little detail behind it. Omara Leonis Archipelago, striking resonance with the boy, as a pride of lion based titan islands that surrounded the north-west of the Nubes Sea.

After all, it was the group of island titans that he had called home.

Mitiario: "Hey, Tycheia… I wanna say something.""

Tycheia: "Hm? What is it Theooo? If it's to apologize to me, I've already accepted it but you still have to say sorryyy!"

Mitiario: "It's not that. Besides, it's just a question on my mind."

Tycheia: "Huh?"

Stopping her gallant march throughout the road while standing next Mitiario, Tycheia saw him, Mitiario's idle face and eyes mixed with a sense of interest, or rather, wonder stretching far into the pages of the book, overlooking parts of their collection of islands. Whether their biology, organic life, environments, Mitiario overlooked it and felt curiosity.

Mitiario: "I've just been thinking for a while, what do you think about any other regions far away from here, Omara Leonis I mean?"

Tycheia: "Eh?"

Mitiario: "I mean like. This book, and other books representing our world all mention and speak about our world being such a vast and large one, with so many land areas, each with their own differing circumstances than the other, and especially the Nubes Ocean! A vast deep sea that houses so much treasure, artifacts and many more. Many unique and amazing creatures that live in the waters, more than you can see in our archipelago. I mean, what if-"

Mitiario stops himself, putting down the book and looking up ahead towards the clear blue view. Throughout the middle of his message to Tycheia, about the passions of this earth and its surroundings, what different lands occupied it, the seas that swallowed it, and the different species living on both, he had slowly but surely stopped.

But why not continue? Why not continue to talk more about these unique places. Did he not think that they were interesting, or worth interacting with? Was there not more to it that he could interact and grow from? No… the reason wasn't that, the reason was fear, to go out there and interact with others, despite the introspection Tycheia had given to him. "What point would there really be if I left, I'm still the same worthless person I had been" where all the thoughts running through Mitiario's head.

Mitiario: "Sorry Tycheia… that was just a stupid thought, don't worry about it."

Tycheia: "Hmmmm, I see I seeee. In other words…"

Tycheia takes off the right hand that was on her chin during Mitiario's proclamation. Surprising the boy by her reaction which soon followed her right hand stunningly pointing at him, as the girl exclaimed-

Tycheia: "Theo wants to stay here with us then! Corrreeeect?"

Mitiario: "Huh? Oh yea, sure I guess, not like nothing changes righ-

Tycheia: "I KNEW IT I KNEW IT!!"

Responding to the sudden question, Mitiario then sees Tycheia grin brightly and become ecstatic as she draws in close to hug Mitiario, shocking the boy.

Mitiario: "Uh… Tycheia?"

Tycheia: "I alwaaayyyyyss said Theo should stay with us and not leave! It makes no sense to do stuff for a bunch of other people rather than stay with those who know you like you riiiightt?"

Mitiario: "I don't know what-

Tycheia: "We do neeed to get Theo out more to help, but as long as you're only with us it shouldn't matter ri-

??: "TYCHEIA AVENIR! Stop standing around as if yer looking for rain to fall down and come over here to help me with the animal and yards!"

Tycheia: "AHHH! G-GRANNY ESPERRR?!?"

??: "Tycheia! That's Grandma Esperanza to you young lady. Now get back here before I drag ya thick skull here back myself!!"

Tycheia: "EEEEEP!! Y-Yes grandma, sorry grandma!! Theoo we have to go or she'll beat us hurryyy!!"

Mitiario: "I think it's you that's gonna get- oh whatever."

Standing far away from the duo's distance in the forest, and reaching a field clearing of what lied were oddly shaped trees, a towering half timbered house that would only stretch as far as a cottage, and looked to have seemingly bottom house floors on the top and middle of the tall cottage as if barely supporting the structure of the house being held with a variety of wood, stone, and architecture. To sum this piece up, the house appeared to be a work of many other houses abandoned and clumped into one that spiraled far in the sky with a mess of architectural design.

And outside of this mess of a design and beside the clear wheat fields that held a large variety of soft wooled animals, with various horn designs, and some of these animals floating in the air, was a shut eyed wrinkly and elderly woman with fluffy but spiky and soft lilac hair that looked as if it was struck by lightning, and had a lighter tone than Tycheia's own hair. Bearing multitude of eccentric jewellery on her, and resting her old fragile hand ontop of an oddly shaped cane. This elderly lady who had an odd yet seemingly enchanting appearance, was none other than Esperanza Avenir, the grandmother of the currently worried Tycheia Avenir.

Esperanza: "Get back to the field now girl! An I want all of them Cornusheep to get down dat dang air immediately!! Now!!"

Tycheia: "YES GRANNY ESPER!! RIGHT AWAY!!"

Esperanza: "AND IT"S GRANDMA ESPERANZA TO YOU, YOUNG LADY!!!"

Tycheia: "AHH!! SORRY SORRY SORRY!!"

The grandmother and granddaughter's interactions were to be certainly described as wild. The woman slammed the bottom of her odd cane against the rushing girl's head. As she entered the wheat field and began to climb the mountain of horned sheep to reach the Cornu Sheep currently floating in the air. As the girl started to scream and reach at the wild group of floating sheep. Meanwhile, Mitiario, the bystander witnessing this, went up ahead to reach the old woman.

Esperanza: "Ahhh, Mitiario! How are you, dear? I hope Tycheia hasn't caused you any trouble again. Are ya feeling hungry right now? I'm preparing food for all of us right now, come eat with us okay?."

Mitiario: "No no, that's fine, thank you Miss Avenir. I don't want to be impeding on the both of you again. After all, you guys already gave me a home to sleep in.

Esperanza: "Awww don't be so modest! You're already family with us dear, there's no reason to worry about asking us for favours. Come on now, I'll give you something to eat.

Mitiario: "I- oh, uhh okay then..

Esperanza, now taking Mitiario's left hand with her own left hand, began leading him back to their house. Out of the inner fondness and kindness in her heart towards the young man, who found himself flustered and lost for words at this action. All he could do, was just shyly go along with it.

Esperanza: "Say, Mitiario, you look thin. Have you been eating well?"

Mitiario: "No, not much but don't worry. I don't need to eat that much after-

Tycheia: "GRANNNYYYY!!! PLEASE HELP ME OVER HERE, I'M GONNA DIEE!!"

Esperanza: "PUT SOME OOMP INTO IT GIRL!!"

Tycheia: "OOMPH??"

While in the midst of Mitiario's response, Tycheia yells from atop the floating horned sheep begging for help, as Esperanza disregards the claims. The only expression that could be seen on Tycheia's face was that of worry and fear towards her almost inevitable fall.

Esperanza: "Anyways, Mitiario. Don't feel as if you're a burden onto us okay? You helped us a lot ya know, you should feel family with us as we do with you.

Mitiario: "R-right Esperanza. I'll keep that in mind"

Flustered by these sudden words, and feeling soft warmth, what was inside Mitiario's pessimistic heart was somewhat akin to gratitude. As he silently and shyly muttered.

Mitiario: "Thank you"

***

In the inside of the grandmother's oddly shaped house, there were a lot of items seemingly flying around and operating on themselves. Dishes and rags cleaning themselves, brooms sweeping the floor, cluttered books raising themselves to sort themselves out, and 2 bows of food flying themselves towards Mitiario, Esperanza, and Tycheia, which the latter was very cluttered, wrought out, and dirty from her experience with the sheep. The trio sat themselves at the round wooden table, holding each other's hands in a moment of silence before speaking.

Mitiario: "I still find it wonderful you're able to affect the vida of these objects to have human-like personalities, Miss Avenir."

Esperanza: "Hmmmmmm…"

Mitiario: "RIGHT! Sorry, Esperanza. I'm amazed you're able to command these objects with vida."

Esperanza: "That's right dear"

Mitiario, although initially complementing Esperanza with her respect on her magical capabilities to affect inanimate items, had received a glaring stare due to their previous response on respect. Although Esperanza returned his correction with a soft glaze.

The group at the table were accompanied by a large feast of food, eggs, fruits, bacon, porridge, bread and more. Moving chandeliers, and tableware around them all setting itself before the three eat their meal.

Holding each other's hands around the table, (although Tycheia more so gripping Mitiario's hand) They sat in silence, with Mitiario and Tycheia closing their eyes.

Mitiario, Tycheia, and Esperanza: ".... Thank you for our food and grace, oh Rey"

With this prayer done, the 3 got to eating their meal. With Tycheia eating fairly quickly, almost coming to the point of choking and having to beat her chest to swallow the food. Esperanza slaps her granddaughter on the head for her habits while eating elegantly, and Mitiario simply follows behind Esperanza, but faster than Tycheia.

Tycheia: "Hey granny.."

Esperanza: "Hmmmmmmm"

Tycheia: "I MEAN GRANDMA SORRY! Can I uh, ask something?"

Returning that same stern gaze from Mitiario, was now facing towards the currently scared, and frightened Tycheia. Desperately trying to make amends as to not incur the wrath of her rabid grandmother. Albeit, that wrath was only targeted to her for her foolishness.

Esperanza: "Sure, speak your mind."

Tycheia: "Well.... I was wondering if Theo could assist me tomorrow at work. Since he has nothing much to do right?"

Mitiario: "You could have asked me you know? It's not like I'd object or get mad.."

Tycheia: "I knooow, but Granny- uh Grandma* would get mad at me for potentially bothering you, and I've already been hit enough todayyy."

Esperanza: "Shush"

While Tycheia pointed to the bruises caused by the Cornusheep and her grandmothers harsh stick beating, Esperanza had been in a deep trance. As if thinking over this situation Tycheia proposed carefully, possibly looking into it's logistics. Mitiario could not see why that is however, him helping should not have been a problem, after all if he was family to them he should help right? Regardless these were thoughts he could not bring to say, they've been this generous to him already, so it's better to stay silent and let them decide how to deal with it.

Esperanza: "Alright. I suppose it's fine, but Tycheia no slacking on your part you hear me? If you do-

Tycheia: "I KNOW I KNOW! I SWEAR I WON"T SLACK! Theo, tomorrow we go to Janus village so we pick up items for the animals and house okaaay!

Mitiario: "Alright, alright. I'll be up early before then."

Tycheia: "Okay!!!"

The excited Tycheia went back to eating her food in a happily and proud manner since her grandmothers approval of Mitiario's help with the house. Mitiario, all be it confused as to how this was a big decision, was glad it made the girl happy. A sense of pride and fulfilment swelled up inside his body looking at the girl joyfully enjoying herself, even though it would end up in her almost choking and him needing to come in to help get the food out of her system.

Esperanza: "Say, Mitiario. Can I ask you a small personal question?"

Mitiario: "Uhh, sure. I don't mind."

Esperanza: "Have you… talked to Emilia yet?"

Mitiario: "HRLK??"

Tycheia: "GRAN!!"

The question Esperanza had posed to Mitiario shocked him, as like Tycheia beforehand, the boy nearly chokes and spits out his own food, while that same girl now standing, infuriated at her grandmother's gesture, slams her hand on the table questioning her. While sat at the table, Mitiario is looking down, bewildered, shocked, and stunned, cold sweat running on his head as a response to Esperanza's question.
