Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 — Training Under the Moon

Night fell over Fariens, and the houses began to light up like small torches in the darkness. Sasha returned to his home at dusk, his mind spinning between what he knew of the future and the opportunities he could seize now that he was here.

Upon arriving, he closed the door behind him and lit a lamp with an elemental spark — just a small trick he was starting to master thanks to his new energy. He sat on the floor and took out the channeling stone he had bought that morning, holding it in his hands and feeling its warmth.

— "This isn't the time to rest," he murmured to himself. "If I want to change the story, I have to train every night."

He closed his eyes and focused his energy on the stone. This time he felt a much stronger flow than in the field. The energy in the stone acted like a current that amplified his own spiritual reserve and, step by step, taught him how to shape it.

Minutes passed, then hours. His forehead was drenched with sweat and his breathing was ragged, but inside he felt his core strengthen with every heartbeat. When he finally stood up, his legs trembled, but a renewed determination shone in his eyes.

— "It's already a bit easier than yesterday," he said, exhaling deeply.

In the book he remembered, the original protagonist had needed months to reach this point, but Sasha had started much earlier and had knowledge that gave him an advantage.

Suddenly, a noise in the street caught his attention. A figure ran past his window — a shadow among shadows.Sasha felt his heart quicken. That presence… he could swear it didn't belong to an ordinary villager.

He carefully peeked through the curtains and saw a hooded person moving stealthily through the alley.A thief? An informant? What was clear was that the quiet times he knew from the book were beginning to crumble.

— "Tomorrow I'll find out who it is," Sasha thought.

He closed the window and headed to his bed.He might be tired, but his story was only just beginning — and he wasn't going to waste a single moment.
