Chapter 123 - Caught

He wanted to kill that cheap woman.

But right now, to survive, he could only rely on her father.

With that thought, Tang San suppressed his hatred and began his performance.

"Uncle Ning."

Ning Fengzhi had been carefully observing Tang San's reactions ever since he mentioned his daughter. The moment Tang San's expression subtly changed, Ning Fengzhi confirmed his guess.

As expected, Tang San knew.

From Rongrong, he already knew that she had taken the Xuan Tian Record techniques from Tang San's storage belt and then disappeared from the academy. Rongrong claimed that Tang San had been in a deep sleep, but Ning Fengzhi never believed she could steal something so important without leaving any traces.

No matter how foolish Tang San was, he would at least become suspicious once Rongrong vanished.

Even so, Ning Fengzhi did not care.

Tang San had no choice but to cling to him if he wanted to stay alive.

So Ning Fengzhi also put on his performance, wearing a warm, fake smile.

"Hahahaha, good, good. Since you are my daughter's classmate, I will call you Little San. You don't mind, do you?"

Mind? I mind your damn head.

The injured Tang San roared inside his heart. This bastard clearly knew he possessed the Xuan Tian Record techniques, yet still dared to scheme against him while his life hung by a thread.

But even knowing Ning Fengzhi's intentions, Tang San had no way out except to grab onto him.

He engraved this humiliation deeply into his heart.

His killing intent surged.

Tang Sect rule:

The Xuan Tian Record must never be passed to outsiders.

If violated, kill without mercy.

Once I escape this situation, I will kill everyone who knows about the Xuan Tian Record.

"Uncle Ning, Rongrong and I are friends who went through many obstacles together. You are Rongrong's father, so you are also my elder. I don't mind at all."

Tang San deliberately emphasized their "relationship," hoping to use Ning Fengzhi's influence to escape Yu Yuanzhen.

Hearing this, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan members, including Yu Yuanzhen, became alert.

If Ning Fengzhi truly backed Tang San, keeping him here would be impossible.

Ning Fengzhi's lips twitched slightly. If he did not know the truth, he might have believed Tang San's acting.

He quickly regained his composure, summoned his Martial Spirit, and healed Tang San.

"Thank you, Uncle Ning."

Feeling most of the pain fade from his body, Tang San bowed gratefully.

"It's a small matter. Since you call me Uncle, it's only natural that I help you."

Ning Fengzhi smiled faintly, then turned toward Yu Yuanzhen.

"Sect Leader Yu, seeing i helped you before, can you let Tang San go?"

Chen Xin and Gu Rong stood silently behind Ning Fengzhi. While guarding him, they released their auras slightly toward Yu Yuanzhen to pressure him.

Yu Yuanzhen's anger burned, but when he looked at Chen Xin and Gu Rong, he calmed down and reminded himself that now was not the time to lose his temper. With two Title Douluo present and an Auxiliary System Martial Spirit backing them, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect could overpower his clan.

While gritting his teeth and clenching his fists in anger, he spoke coldly.

"Sect Leader Ning, are you determined to protect my clans enemy?"

"Sect Leader Yu, since Tang San called me Uncle and he is my daughter's teammate, I hope you can give me some face and spare him." Ning Fengzhi determined to get techniques from Tang San.

"Good. Very good."

Yu Yuanzhen's face darkened upon hearing Ning Fengzhi's determination.

"I will remember this."

"Thank you, Sect Leader Yu, for sparing Tang San."

Knowing Yu Yuanzhen had agreed, Ning Fengzhi immediately thanked him and subtly signaled Gu Rong.

Gu Rong raised his hand.

Space distorted.

A portal opened.

"Tang San, let's go."

With that, they left.

Near the training ground, within the laws of space.

"These idiots. Why are they saving this trash?" Xiao Wu fumed in anger as she watched Tang San being rescued by Ning Fengzhi.

Zhu Zhuqing nodded. Even the gentle Lingling nodded as well, agreeing with Xiao Wu's statement.

"Lingling, when did you become this violent?" Wu Lan asked in surprise, seeing the change in Lingling.

Lingling froze for a moment. In the past, she rarely expressed her opinions. It was not that she had changed, but that she was only expressing herself now.

"I am not violent. It's Tang San who is not a good person and deserves punishment," she pouted and replied, unhappy that Wu Lan had called her violent.

Seeing Lingling's cute, angry face, Wu Lan and the girls laughed at her.

After laughing, Wu Lan answered Xiao Wu.

"It's not saving him. It's more like kidnapping him," he said with a hidden meaning.

"How is it kidnapping? Hearing them talk about Rongrong, it looks like they are a family. Why would Ning Fengzhi kidnap Tang San?" They were confused by Wu Lan's words.

"You know about Tang San's techniques, right?" Wu Lan asked them.

The girls nodded.

"What do you think of their value?"

"They're very powerful, powerful enough to change people's destinies," Zhu Zhuqing replied, expressing her thoughts.

"Right. They are very powerful. Now, if someone knew you were cultivating such heaven defying techniques, what would they do?"

Hearing this, Zhu Zhuqing's eyes widened as she realized what Wu Lan meant.

"They would try to get the techniques in every possible way."

"I get it. Ning Fengzhi saved Tang San in order to get his techniques," Xiao Wu said with a smug expression.

"Correct." Wu Lan patted her head and gave her a carrot as a reward.

"But how would Ning Fengzhi know about Tang San's techniques?" Zhu Zhuqing asked, puzzled.

"Zhuqing, you're forgetting an important person," Wu Lan reminded her.

Hearing this, Zhu Zhuqing's eyes lit up, and she replied instantly.

"Ning Rongrong."

"Correct." Wu Lan patted her head. Zhu Zhuqing closed her eyes and leaned forward, enjoying herself.

"But brother, we all saw that Rongrong followed Tang San like an obedient little girl. Why would she betray him?" Xiao Wu asked. Seeing Zhu Zhuqing like this, she grew jealous and stepped between them.

"If you think she was obedient, then you were played by her."

"If you think she was obedient, then you were played by her." Wu Lan looked at Xiao Wu with a teasing expression.

"Brother Lan, do you mean that Rongrong was acting while following Tang San?" Zhu Zhuqing understood Wu Lan's meaning.

"Yes. Rongrong grew up in the richest sect, with Title Douluo always listening to her since childhood. How could she willingly follow someone like Tang San, who is selfish, without any motive?"

"But then why was she acting obedient toward Tang San?" Xiao Wu asked with a puzzled expression.

"Because...
