Chapter 112 - Chapter 112: Vincent’s Serious Punch!

The three-headed bird paused, startled.

Its six eyes revealed a flash of human-like confusion.

Why… wasn't this human running anymore?

It tilted its heads, puzzled, but with its limited intelligence, it couldn't process the situation deeply. Regardless, its fury had already taken over.

In the next instant, the monster charged forward without hesitation, its central head snapping its sharp beak open, aiming to tear Vincent apart in one bite.

But Vincent was already prepared.

He bent his knees slightly, fists clenched, entering a powerful stance.

The moment the three-headed bird closed in.

Vincent moved.

Boom!

The ground beneath his feet collapsed from the pressure.

His entire body rocketed upward like a cannonball, slamming toward the monster.

His speed was blinding.

To the bird, everything blurred. By the time it noticed, a fist was already right in front of its face.

Boom!!

Vincent collided directly with the three-headed beast.

One was a colossal creature weighing tens of tons.

The other was just a human.

Anyone would think this was a suicide charge.

But the result was utterly unexpected.

As Vincent landed back on the ground, a massive splash of green blood erupted behind him, raining down.

Chunks of flesh followed, scattering in all directions.

The central head of the monster the largest and most dominant was gone.

Only half a severed neck remained.

He had punched off one of its heads with a single blow.

"Gyaaa!! Gyaaa!!"

The remaining two heads shrieked wildly, flapping their wings in a panic.

The central head was its core brain.

It could survive losing either side head, but not the one in the center.

No matter how the beast struggled, it eventually collapsed, twitching as it died.

It didn't move again.

Vincent stared at the corpse, then sighed softly.

'If it were Saitama himself, a normal punch would've obliterated that thing without a trace. And me… I gave it my all just to blow off one head. Looks like I'm still far from that level. Time to keep a low profile and keep grinding.'

With that quiet reflection, Vincent turned and began heading back toward the road.

As he walked, his mind was still turning.

'If a creature like this managed to reach this far… does that mean the military stationed at the canyon failed to contain the outbreak? If so, this city is no longer safe. I need to get out, fast.'

He muttered to himself, "I wonder how Terry and the others are doing now. Hope they're not wiped out…"

Despite how laid-back he seemed, Vincent genuinely hoped Terry Yan made it back safely.

That old man was actually a decent guy.

For now, Vincent had no intention of changing teachers.

Back on the highway.

Autumn Summer was leading the group of students toward the city, worry etched all over her face.

Even though she knew how strong Vincent was…

That bird was just terrifying.

She couldn't shake the fear that he might not survive.

"Autumn Summer!"

A voice called out suddenly from beside her.

It was Zoe Harper.

"I heard you're their class monitor, and you're close to Vincent. So you should know him well, right?"

Zoe's words came out of nowhere.

Autumn frowned slightly. "What are you trying to say?"

Zoe ignored the attitude and asked directly, "Since you know him, I just wanted to ask… does Vincent have any way to protect himself? I mean… he's not…"

She didn't finish the sentence.

She didn't know why she was asking these things either. But ever since Vincent saved her, his image had been stuck in her mind.

There was no denying it.

The way he stepped up during the attack… it was just so manly.

'Maybe it's just that his sense of responsibility… commands respect. I really admire him,' Zoe thought to herself.

"I don't know," Autumn said after a long breath, trying to mask her concern. "He's strong, but that monster…"

She still chose not to reveal the truth about Vincent.

Zoe looked at her for a moment, then decided not to press further.

Instead, she tried to comfort her.

"I believe heaven doesn't mistreat good people. Vincent's powerful and righteous… he'll make it out."

Autumn nodded quietly.

Neither of them said more after that, both focusing on getting back to the city.

In the distance, the skyline was already in view.

But neither of them knew…

Far off to the left, hidden behind a hill, a few shadowy figures were lying in ambush.

One of them, a sniper, had a scope trained on the group.

"Boss, I've got eyes on Autumn Summer. But I don't see the main target. Should I take the shot?"

Their leader was a rugged man in his thirties. Average looks, someone who could vanish in a crowd.

Except for the jagged scar running down his cheek.

That scar gave him a vicious air.

Hearing the question, he frowned and picked up his binoculars, scanning the crowd below.

After a while, he lowered them and said coldly, "Our main target is that guy. Don't act rashly. We can't afford to scare him off."

He paused, then added, "Besides… I think I saw a Harper girl in the group. If we hit her by mistake, and her sister finds out, we'll never escape, even if we flee to the ends of the earth."

The others all tensed up.

"Wait, a Harper? Which Harper?"

"Who else do you think?!"

"There are two Harper families in the capital. One is our employer… but the other"

"Yeah… best not to get involved. Let's not stir up more trouble."

It was obvious.

They were terrified of the Harper Family.

The sniper grumbled, "But boss, if we can't find that guy, are we just gonna keep waiting?"

"Yes," the boss said without hesitation. "This is the only road leading back to the city. If he's still alive, he'll come through here eventually."
