Chapter 62 - helping his wife in the kitchen

Viraaj laughed loudly to hear Ira's unbelievable comment. She even have a thought to kill her brother. How cunning she is. But she also know the consequences, her father will skin her with his most poisoned sword.

"I know, i know. I know everything my dear." Viraaj said while controlling his laugh "That's why, it's just my dream. I really want you and Raksheet to rule Aaro but it's impossible. You are happy in Jwalana and will be Jwalana's queen, it is enough for me."

"That's better." Ira replied "I can't kill my brother."

Viraaj Sighed deeply, staring at the ceiling "Absolutely, you can't kill your brother. Doesn't matter how rude he is with you, he is still your brother. You can't fight with him or kill him until he do a unforgivable sin. But....."

Ira looked at her grandfather with curiosity in her eyes. "But?"

Viraaj turned his head towards Ira "But I can expect to see my great grandkids, can't i?"

Ira's face flushed red in embarrassment and she tried so hard to control her smile. She don't know what to say.

Viraaj started laughing to see Ira blushing so hard.

She pushed away the sheets from her hand and stood up. "Enough talking. You should sleep now. I am leaving. I will come back around lunch time. Go to sleep." She said in hurry and immediately left the chamber, leaving Viraaj laughing.

"Grandfather is too much." She mumbled on her way towards the kitchen. A smile appeared on her lips when she recalled what her grandfather said. 'great grandkids? Sure. I hope soon.' She thought and smiled shyly.

While walking in the corridor, lost in her own world, suddenly she bumped into someone.

"Ouch!" Ira groaned and rubbed her forehead. Thanks to her husband who cought her before she fell.

"Are you ok?" Raksheet asked, observing Ira carefully. Making sure she is not hurt anywhere.

"I am fine. Why did you do this?" Ira complained, looking at her husband with annoyed face.

"What did I do? You are the one who was walking with absent mind." Raksheet defend himself "What were you thinking about? And... Why were smiling? Something happened?" He asked with a questioning look. He deliberately didn't moved out of Ira's way after seeing she was lost in her own world and smiling uncontrollably.

Ira's eyes widened when she realised she was smiling continuously until she bumped into her husband. And the reason behind her smile was even more embarrassing.

She quickly straighten her posture "No, nothing. Nothing happened." She looked away, trying to avoid the eye contact with Raksheet.

A slight grin appeared on Raksheet's face. Ira must be lying. She was indeed thinking about something.

"Really?" He bent his back to see her face closely.

She gulped nervously and looked in Raksheet's eyes because of the closeness between them. She meekly nod, trying to look geniune.

"Why am I feeling that you are lying?" He questioned with narrow eyes and hands folded infront of his chest. "You must be hiding something from me. Tell me, what it is?"

She felt tongue twisted, unable to find any excuse. She shook her head "I told you, it's nothing. Just leave it and let me go." She pushed Raksheet away from her way. "I have work to do. Leave me."

She started walking forward, ignoring Raksheet.

"Princess, wait for me! Tell me what were you thinking." Raksheet said, running behind Ira as she was walking too fast. "At least tell me where are you going. What work? I can help."

Ira chuckled when Raksheet said he can help. She stopped on her place and turned around to face her husband.

Raksheet stopped on his place, looking at his wife with a smile. "Tell me, where are you going? I can help you."

Ira crossed her hands on her chest and asked "Can you cook?"

He furrowed in confusion "What? Cooking?"

"Yes. Can you cook porridge?"

"You are going to make porridge? You know how to cook?" He asked surprised. He didn't know that his wife can cook. She didn't entered in kitchen at least for once. He thought she is a princess whom her family didn't loved much so may be her mother didn't bothered to teach her how to cook. But if she know how to cook, why didn't she cooked anything for him?

Ira nod "Yes, I can. That's why I am going to make porridge for grandfather, for lunch." She turned to leave but her husband held her hand and pulled her back.

"Why didn't you told me you can cook? Why didn't you cooked anything for me?" He asked while sulking.

"Because you never asked me?" She simply replied.

"Then why are you cooking for your grandfather? Did he asked you to cook?"

"No. He didn't. But he is sick, so I have to cook something light for him."

Raksheet released Ira's hand and smiled sarcastically "Oh! So to eat my wife's cooking, may be I have to fall sick too." He looked away.

Ira shook her head on her husband's childish behaviour. "Don't say that. You don't have to fall sick to eat my cooking. You just have to tell me and I will cook whatever you want."

Raksheet's mood lit up instantly. He looked at Ira and was about to request many dishes he want to eat. But his wife interrupted him.

"But not today. First, I have to cook for grandfather. I will cook for you some other day."

Raksheet's excitement dropped in just one moment. He sighed "Ok."

"Ok then. May I go?" Ira asked for permission to leave if her husband is done talking.

"No." Raksheet replied with a straight face.

"Why?"

He held Ira's hand and started walking. "let's go together. I will accompany you."

Ira giggled "Do you even know how to cook?"

"No, but i can keep you company."

"Don't you have work today?"

"Yes, I have. But after lunch and it's not so important. I am free for now."

They entered in the kitchen and all the maids, including Advika who was supervising their work, stood up .

Some of the maids started whispering after seeing their new king entering in the kitchen. Raksheet never entered in the kitchen nor did he pass by. All the maids in kitchen used to try to sneak out of the kitchen by making excuses that they want to serve the food to royal family members, just to see Raksheet and Ahil. Jwalana's princes and most handsome men in entire Kingdom. Their one glance was enough for maids to go crazy.

But their heart broke into pieces when the crown prince got married and even worse, he brought home the most beautiful woman they had ever seen. There is no way they can compete with Ira in any aspect. She is a princess with great wealth and beauty like an angel. They never expected such a beautiful princess to enter in kitchen, with her husband.

"He is so handsome." One of the maid whispered.

"He is. I wish I can marry him." The other one replied.

"You should seduce him."

Ira can hear their Whispers, and Raksheet can hear them too. But he decided to ignore them because he is used to it. But his wife can't ignore it. Her expressions turn severe and she ordered the maids in cold tone "If you are done making lunch, you all can leave."

They can hear the warning in Ira's order. Her silver eyes were giving chills down their spine.

Except for Advika, all other maids quickly left from there, scared that Ira will punish them for whispering about her husband.

Ira rolled her eyes on those maids who dared to talk about her husband. 'if i found them repeating their mistake again, I will not let them go easily for sure.' she then looked at her husband with angry eyes because he didn't objected when those maids were whispering about him.

Raksheet, who was smiling innocently till now, suddenly gulped in fear after seeing his wife's dark gaze. He stopped smiling and cleared his throat.

"Do you want something your highness?" Advika asked.

Ira shifted her gaze from her husband to Advika and smiled. "No Advika, I don't want anything. I came to make some porridge for grandfather's lunch."

"Your highness, you don't have to bother. I will cook for his majesty." Advika suggested. She don't know whether Ira can cook or not. Did she ever entered in kitchen before? She might get hurt if she try to cook without any experience and help.

"No need. My grandfather love my cooking. I want to cook for him by myself." Ira denied Advika's suggestion. She don't want someone else to cook for her grandfather. She want him to have her cooking which he likes the most.

Advika felt relieved that Ira know how to cook "Ok, but do you need any help?"

"No, it's ok. I will manage. I know how to cook. You can go." Ira gestured Advika to leave the kitchen so that she can cook peacefully.

Advika nod and stepped towards door. But she suddenly stopped and came back towards Ira.

"Your highness, may i know why his majesty is here?"
