Chapter 477 - Rebirth

"Eonar the Life-Binder" is the most powerful healer in the universe, the nemesis of death, and the bane of negative energy.

Her threat to demons and Old Gods is greater than that of the other two Pantheon Titans.

When Eonar descended, she merely cast a large-scale group spell, yet it was enough to make demons and Old Gods retreat in fear.

Such an opportunity, of course, called for pressing the attack.

Among the five Old Gods, the Great Serpent posed the greatest threat to the Pantheon and was already injured, so the Titans decided to kill the Great Serpent first.

Therefore, they pursued it in the direction of Mount Khardar, and soon arrived at the place where Khadgar had fallen before.

The Archmage was frozen in solid ice, still maintaining his last expression.

Eonar stopped and asked, "Is this the mortal who severely injured the Great Serpent?"

"Yes, his name is Khadgar," Aggramar nodded.

"Is it him?" Eonar immediately recognized the name, and her gaze towards the ice sculpture was filled with undisguised admiration.

More than twenty years ago, this mage had killed Sargeras, who was possessing Medivh, and banished the Dark Titan's soul back to the Twisting Nether.

Eonar had always paid close attention to news related to Sargeras, and Khadgar's name had naturally come to her attention.

She favored anyone who opposed Sargeras, and even more so those who had caused trouble for Sargeras.

Khadgar undoubtedly met these criteria, especially since this mortal had just severely injured an enemy of the Pantheon—an Old God—in a desperate situation.

"Hmm," Eonar mused, gently tapping the ice encasing Khadgar with her staff, then said to Aggramar and Golganneth, "Let us continue to pursue the remaining Old Gods and Burning Legion remnants!"

The three high-ranking Pantheon Titans departed, and the ice sculpture began to crumble.

Resurrection is an incredibly difficult feat for mortals.

Even if someone could accomplish it, it would come at a great price or with significant flaws.

For example, being resurrected as an undead, or like Aegwynn resurrecting her son Medivh, which consumed the vast energy accumulated by generations of Guardians.

However, for "Eonar the Life-Binder," resurrecting a mortal was a simple matter.

Loud "crack" sounds continuously echoed from the massive ice block, covered with spiderweb-like cracks, and soon it collapsed with a crash, the frozen mage within falling to the ground.

After a while, his back began to rise and fall, indicating that he had regained his breath, and then Khadgar's fingers twitched a few times.

The melting ice beneath him formed a mixture of icy water and mud, and the gradually returning senses made him uncomfortable with his surroundings.

"Cough... cough..." Khadgar coughed violently, having inhaled some water into his nose, causing him to choke.

The mage immediately got up, pounding his chest a few times to catch his breath.

He looked at the mud on his hands and the stains on his body, his face filled with disbelief.

"I... wasn't I dead?" Khadgar was bewildered.

He shook his arms vigorously, flinging off the water, and rubbed them a few times, suddenly stopping as he saw something incredible—his skin was no longer wrinkled and inelastic like that of an old man in his seventies, but as tight and smooth as a young man's.

Clenching his fists and swinging them twice, he felt unprecedented strength and vitality.

Khadgar was overjoyed.

He didn't know how he had been resurrected, but he had to thank the person who resurrected him—his stolen youth had been returned to him.

The Karazhan incident had forced a seventeen-year-old youth to live the next twenty years in the image of a seventy-year-old man.

He dared not confess to the person he admired; he possessed great strength, was learned and wise, yet no one would love him.

This was the harshest punishment for a youth about to embrace adolescence.

Moreover, he had clearly witnessed his own death scene in that incident, constantly worrying about encountering that scene again, always living out his remaining years in a frail body, filled with anxiety.

Khadgar fell back into the mud, laughing loudly without regard for his image, tears welling up in his eyes.

He once possessed a young heart but had to eke out a living in an old body; now, he was actually forty years old, entering middle age, yet possessed the youthful appearance of a seventeen or eighteen-year-old.

This was truly a twist of fate, making one unable to decide whether to laugh or cry.

After Eonar's arrival, the balance of power among the three factions was completely broken.

With three Pantheon Titans, including a super-healer like Eonar, her presence alone was enough to double the combat power of the entire Pantheon.

Under such circumstances, there was naturally no need to worry about the tacit agreement to temporarily abandon hatred with the Burning Legion and jointly eliminate the Old Gods.

Eonar's strategy was to kill anyone she saw, whether demon or evil god, all would be annihilated!

Fortunately, Kil'jaeden had learned in advance of Eonar's imminent arrival and had already arranged for the demons to retreat, even decisively abandoning his base camp, leaving the entire Exiled Lands to the Pantheon.

"Master!" Kil'jaeden's adjutant entered the massive barrier created by his master and saw the Deceiver.

Their current location was in the southeast of the Exiled Lands, on an island close to the mainland.

Kil'jaeden had personally cast a massive barrier, shielding them from the perception of others.

In addition, with the presence of the Great Serpent Old God, others were unlikely to discover them unless they were very close.

This place was not far from the Exiled Lands, and could even be said to be under the noses of the Pantheon, but Kil'jaeden had indeed deceived Eonar and concealed himself here.

Seeing the dreadlord approach, Kil'jaeden looked at it, signaling it to speak.

"The Pantheon has gathered together, and so have the Old Gods.

In the melee, one Old God was killed, and Aggramar was slightly injured."

"Hmm," Kil'jaeden responded.

With Eonar present, the dreadlord scouting the battlefield would probably be barely gone before Aggramar was healed by Eonar.

That female Titan was truly a great trouble.

With her, the Pantheon could completely contend with enemies several times their size.

"Continue scouting!" Kil'jaeden ordered.

"Yes, Master."

Kil'jaeden called another adjutant and asked, "How is our troop integration progressing?"

"Master, as long as ten minutes pass, the integration can be completed, and we can go to war at any time!" A doom guard respectfully replied.

In the previous series of wars, although Kil'jaeden had always paid attention to using tactics and preserving strength, even the Pantheon had lost more than half of their forces, and the Burning Legion was naturally not much better off; they had also suffered more than a third of their losses.

Many legions had suffered heavy casualties, so they naturally needed to be reorganized.

Those with incomplete establishments were incorporated into legions with stronger combat power.

Before the war, the Burning Legion had more than 200,000 troops in Silithus, divided into seven legions, but after the war, they had been condensed into four.

Kil'jaeden had a list of legion officers who had been integrated.

Among the four major legions was the Seventh Legion.

It had preserved its strength well in several major battles and had also gained considerable military merit.

The commander of this legion had naturally attracted Kil'jaeden's attention.

The name of the Seventh Legion's commander was Zzeraku, a demon warlock.

Kil'jaeden remembered that this person had become the Seventh Legion commander a few months ago, after the original commander of the Seventh Legion attacked Mount Hyjal and was killed by the lava unleashed by the enraged Sun God Goresh.

At that time, Zzeraku had been promoted to Seventh Legion commander as the third deputy commander.

He had not expected that this guy had some ability, actually transforming the Seventh Legion back into a powerful force!

"This demon warlock is worth focusing on and cultivating," Kil'jaeden thought.

However, he did not know that Zzeraku's true identity was not a demon warlock, but the "Ancient Warlock" who had repeatedly disrupted the Burning Legion's plans, one of Aiden's powerful heroes!

After waiting for a while, Kil'jaeden finally waited for the opportunity he wanted.

"Order the four major legions—depart!" the Deceiver gave the order.

Hundreds of thousands of elite demon troops were loaded into five massive legion fortresses.

These legion fortresses activated their warp drives and disappeared in a few breaths.

The deserted island returned to calm, but the island still retained the fel flames left by the demons' temporary stay, causing it to lose its vitality.

The combat power of the Pantheon's forces was undoubtedly powerful.

Although Eonar had never seen such powerful Old Gods before, and there were five of them at once, this did not prevent her from eliminating them.

After a hard fight, two of the five Old Gods had already been killed, leaving the heavily injured Great Serpent, the unkillable Slime Monster, and the heavily armored Centipede.

Although the Great Serpent was injured, it was inherently cunning and cautious, never giving the enemy a chance to get close.

The Slime Monster possessed the characteristic of absorbing the enemy's attack energy, and before finding a way to completely kill it, the three Titans did not want to provoke it.

The last Centipede was also very difficult to deal with; only Aggramar's "Taeshalach" could damage it, but it was not easy to provoke either.

After a great battle, Aggramar was also covered in wounds.

Fortunately, the situation was always under control.

As long as they exhausted this eyeless, noseless, and earless Centipede Evil God, the Great Serpent would lose its best protection, and the Old Gods would be on the verge of collapse.

Eonar was very patient, even if it took a few more days, it would be completely worth it.

Eonar cast a spell, and a healing energy descended on Aggramar's bronze body, healing most of the injuries on the Titan who was fighting with the Centipede.

If the Great Serpent in the sky had not been constantly interfering with her, Aggramar and the other Pantheon soldiers would not have had to worry about being injured or killed.

However, under the Great Serpent's interference, it was difficult for Eonar to concentrate on casting spells, and the efficiency and success rate of casting were very low, so she could only focus on ensuring the safety of the main combat personnel and could not take care of everyone.
