Chapter 2 - Party!

Asher zoned out as Mr. Tanner continued on with his delusional ramblings, 'Jesus fucking Christ, why did I even think about coming to school. This fucking sucks, oh my god bitch shut the fuck up.'

Asher swore his entire bloodline in his mind, he twirled his pen in between his fingers as he sat with a bored expression.

"Mr. Pendrax!

"Mr. Pendrax."

A deep annoying voice resounded in the room, causing Asher to turn his head towards the voices direction. "How many casualties resulted in the Battle of Willow Creek?"

Asher stayed silent for a few moments as he began to ponder, "This is why you pay attention instead of–"

Tanner was interrupted as Asher quickly responded, "There were 346 casualties, unless you're counting local civilians."

Tanner turned around as he raised his hand in the air, "Flawless answer, except of course there were no civilian casualties in this battle."

Asher smirked, "Actually sir, there were 27. The confederate soldiers fired upon the local church believing it to be housing weapons for the Union."

Tanner's face darkened as Bonnie, Elena and Stefan turned their eyes toward him. "I understand sir, with the advanced age and all, remembering such trivial matters is a bit of a problem. But the founder's archives are up in Civil Hall.

Maybe you'd like to brush up your facts about history."

Tanner stifled a scowl and continued with his lesson. But what intrigued Asher was Stefan goggling him, 'It seems he still remembers me, that's fantastic. I've already secured a house to live in just ten minutes after school.'

Asher turned towards him and waved with his fingers, "Hello, squirrel." Asher said in a low voice that only they could hear.

The class continued without a hitch, the teachers asked a few questions here and there. But other than that, the day wasn't that remarkable.

Asher played with his ipod and selected a new music, Eye of the Tiger to be more specific. He hummed the tune as he walked to his car.

But suddenly, a black glare appeared within a flash and carried him to a dark alley. To the bystanders, it just looked like their vision was playing tricks on them, some weren't even able to perceive it.

But to Asher it all looked quite slow, it felt like an eternity too.

Asher was pinned against an alley wall, by a dark blonde haired boy with deep green eyes, he gave off a brooding aura compared to most.

He smiled and waved his hands with ease even though he was pinned, "Hello, squirrel. You didn't take much time coming after me." Asher said with a smile.

Stefan's veins protruded from his eyes, as it turned blood red. "What are you doing here Jack?" He said as he pushed Asher against the wall with a bit more force, causing it to slightly crack.

"Careful Stefan, you break my ipod and I'll remove your heart." Asher said with an emotionless smile as he pried Stefan's hands from his neck slowly.

He bent down in pain as he let out a slight grunt, "First of all squirrel, my names Asher, Asher Von Pendrax. Jack was just an alias, moreover what I'm doing here is none of your concern.

"That's for me to know, and for you to dot, dot, dot. Secondly, do you really think you could take me on? I'm older than you, I'm stronger than you, I'm better than you. Maybe if you sucked on some humans instead of your usual bunnies, you'd have a chance. Maybe."

Asher said with a hint of arrogance, with that said he lashed out his hand. In a speed that Stefan couldn't track, in an instant Stefan's jaw was separated from his body, as he fell down in pain.

"That's gotta hurt Stefan, a few bunnies won't do it, find some blood bags, ripper." Asher said with a smirk as he waved his fingers, "Toodle-oo"

Asher pulled his aviator jacket and stepped into his baby, with a screech he sped away and headed out to the Grill.

"..."

Asher went inside the restaurant and sat at the bar, and in a twisted turn of events, his waitress was none other than the ever beautiful Vicki.

"I'm surprised to see you here, it isn't everyday that you meet a cute waitress thrice." Asher said with a quain smile.

Vicki laughed sarcastically as she poked at his well built chest, "I don't know, not many people meet Epstein thrice." Asher snorted and turned his attention to the drink menu.

"A blended malt, please." Asher told her and sneakily slipped her a twenty. Vicki looked at the bill for a few moments before she went near the shelf and poured his drink.

She neatly cupped it and pushed it over to him, Asher took a few slow sips and savoured the drink. He directed his attention to Vicki and gave a soft but cherry smile.

"Has anyone ever told you that you're gorgeous, breathtaking even? If I didn't know anything better, I'd think that you fell straight from heaven."

Vicki chuckled as she pushed her hair back, "I don't think anyone has ever said that to me." Asher feigned shock, as he put his hand to his chest. "That can't be! You must be lying, no way nobody has told a divine woman like you that you aren't gorgeous. Don't you have a boyfriend?"

Vicki had a downcast expression on her face, she gripped the bottle tightly and spoke with a hint of unhappiness. "I do but at the same time I don't. It's complicated."

Asher narrowed his eyes, "Well I want to hear about it, uncomplicate it for me." Asher's words seemed to tick her off as her eyes grew red, Asher almost thought that she was a vampire with those eyes.

"Fuck off, I know what you want to do. You want to know me, you want to talk to me and then you want to screw, screw and screw me until you're done with me"

Asher's eyes slightly widened as he raised up his hands, "Alright, I seem to have touched upon a deep scar. Anyways I think I should take my leave, but my offer still stands, darling." Asher quickly finished up his drink and closed out his tab before leaving.

"...."

The night fell, as Asher walked to an area of the woods. A large fire was blazing in the forest, as people huddled by and drank to their hearts content.

Loud shouts and the smell of beer clung to the place, Asher rubbed his ring and found Stefan talking to Elena. Their eyes met, causing Stefan to be slightly taken aback.

"I'm sorry, I have to go. But I'll come back in a few minutes, I just have to talk to someone." Elena nodded at his words as she wandered elsewhere with a red cup in her hands.

Stefan quickly appeared near him and looked at him in a dark manner. "I hope what I inflicted upon you didn't take too long to heal. Tell me, how many bunnies did you eat. Should we be worried? Is the rabbits around Mystic Falls going to be endangered?"

Stefan clenched his hands and glared at him, "Alright, alright. Don't be so vexed, I promise to be on my best behaviour. I won't kill or maime any creature today so stop being so exasperated. Live a little."

Asher mocked as he patted Stefan's cheek.
