Renji also looked strange. "Yui's mom is called Asuna? Seriously?"
As a time traveler, Renji knew this name would be used by Asuna Yuuki in the future. He also knew about parallel worlds. Yui's mom's real name might be Yuigahama Asuna, and because there was already an Asuna Yuuki, she might have changed her name.
Maybe, when I meet Yui's mom, it will trigger a long-lost mission? Renji was strangely looking forward to it.
Asuna Yuuki also felt strange. The facial resemblance, plus the exact same name. It was too many coincidences. Do such coincidences really exist in the world? She was still skeptical.
Renji chose not to interfere in their business. He knew, with the game system in his hands, the heroines would come to him on their own. Besides, he didn't want to seem too suspicious by suddenly asking to meet someone's mom.
With Yui's presence, the service club was lively again. Even Yukinoshita Yukino started to talk more. Yukino's heart was slowly melting. Renji enjoyed this atmosphere. He wanted more than just Yukino, he wanted all of them to be good friends.
Before he knew it, the day was drawing to a close. Renji chose to go home early. He only held Yukino's hand, hugged her, and then they parted ways. It wasn't because he didn't want to stay longer, but his magical power was surging again. After testing, the blood of the magic dragon in his body had changed his physique.
If this is the case, I can kiss and hug girls, but I can't yet... His thoughts were cut short. He had to behave.
Yukinoshita Yukino didn't understand why Renji seemed so restrained, but she took it as a sign of affection. She just looked at Renji with a softer gaze.
Renji also wanted to invite Sumireko Sanshokuin home, but she already had plans with her friends. The same went for Sayu Ogiwara and Shiina Mahiru, who were having fun playing with Miura Yumiko and the others. Renji was happy to see them getting along.
As he was about to arrive at Sakurasou, a girl suddenly crashed into his chest. Before he could react, the girl fell to the ground and fainted. Renji was surprised. Even though his chest was strong, it was impossible for a girl to faint just from bumping into him.
He turned, looking closer. The girl was wearing a convenience store uniform and had a ponytail. It was Nanami Aoyama!
"Nanami, what's wrong?" He bent down, picking the girl up. "Can you hear me?"
He pinched her pale face, but there was no response. Without a second thought, Renji carried her back to Sakurasou.
Chihiro Sengoku, who was standing at the door, smirked. "Renji, you finally 'did' it to Aoyama-san!"
Renji rolled his eyes. "She fainted on the street, I saved her!"
He carefully placed Nanami on his bed. Taking a healing potion from the drawer, he gave her some to drink. Then, he rushed to the kitchen. He could see it: Aoyama Nanami had fainted from hunger. Her stomach kept rumbling, she had forced herself to work. It was only natural that she fainted. Renji was going to make her some easily digestible porridge.
Nanami opened her eyes. "Hmm... this isn't my room's ceiling."
She was still hungry, but the pain in her stomach was gone. After a previous check-up, she was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. She had spent a lot of money on treatment and medicine, and the remaining money was used to enroll in a voice actor training class. There was an audition for a studio, a very valuable opportunity, and she was willing to not eat for the sake of it.
Nanami checked her body with caution. After making sure nothing was amiss, she let out a sigh of relief.
"This place... Sakurasou?!"
Just then, Renji walked in, carrying a bowl of fragrant porridge. "Nanami, you're awake."
"I could hear your stomach rumbling. Eat this porridge first."
Nanami wanted to refuse, but her stomach protested. She blushed, looking at Renji, and finally took the bowl.
"Thank you, Mr. Renji." She knew he had saved her.
Nanami sat on the bed, drinking the porridge. Her stomach felt warm, and so did her heart. Renji looked at her with a gentle smile, making Nanami's heart flutter. She quickened her eating. After swallowing half the bowl, she lowered her head in embarrassment.
"I'm done, thank you for the meal."
"Does your stomach still hurt?" Renji asked.
"Much better, it doesn't hurt," she replied softly. She felt guilty for ignoring Renji's previous warning.
"Good. Nanami, you should rest. Don't go to work at the convenience store for a while."
"No! I can't just give up!" Nanami looked at him stubbornly.
Renji sighed. "Why are you working part-time?"
"Of course, for my dream!"
"Dreams also need a healthy body. You don't have money to eat, but you're forcing yourself to work!"
"I..." Nanami couldn't argue. She bit her lip, looking down.
