Chapter 201 - Chapter: 0.200: Before the exam part I

The corridor buzzed with the remnants of laughter and whispers as Rena strode away from her friends, the decision to reject the role

of team leader weighing lightly on her shoulders. She wanted freedom—not the

burden of guiding others. She wanted to test her newfound strength, unshackled and alone.

She was Rena Rotschy now, a name pulsing

with the fire of Driseroth's blaze, and she would not lean on anyone.

Her long, silken white hair—brushing the floor,

its lower edges dipped in a vivid crimson—

flowed behind her with every step. Her

crimson eyes glimmered with a playful, almost predatory spark, a promise of trouble

to come. The hum of her boots echoed off the walls, drawing the gaze of passing students.

"Reennnaaaaa."

The voice was smooth, cool, and carried a deliberate edge. Turning her head slightly,

Rena's eyes locked on Sarafina Frost—an icy beauty with flowing silver hair and piercing

blue eyes that shimmered like glacial water. The smirk on her lips was enough to send a ripple of attention through the nearby crowd.

Rena tilted her head, her tone laced with mockery. "What's this, Frost? Here to beg me to join your team?"

Sarafina's smile widened. "Who told you I was in the market for a servant, darling?"

A sharp laugh escaped Rina's lips. "Servant? I don't waste my time sitting with animals."

Gasps fluttered through the students loitering

nearby, drawn in by the verbal sparring like moths to flame.

Sarafina's eyes glinted, her voice smooth as

frostbite. "That's true—you've never been skilled at taming predators like I have. You're

just a little frog trying to leap in a sky you'll never touch."

Rena's crimson eyes narrowed with amused

defiance. "Maybe I'm a frog, sweetheart, but at

least I know how high the sky goes."

The tension between them was electric—two auras clashing in an unspoken battle. Rina's presence burned, an intoxicating blaze that made the air feel heavier, her skin pale and

luminous, her lashes black and framing those merciless red irises. Her lips—painted in a deep red—curved into a wicked smirk as she

scanned the crowd, clearly enjoying their fascination.

"Well, Frost," Rena purred, "shall we take this somewhere more private? Or do you like having an audience?"

Sarafina's icy smile deepened. "I don't mind an audience, but if you insist… follow me, my dear." Her heels clicked on the marble as she turned, her hair swaying like a silver waterfall.

Rena chuckled darkly and followed, the murmurs of students swelling behind them—everyone desperate to see what would happen when fire met ice.
