Lucien felt the familiar pulse within his chest. The rhythm of his Divine Energy Core. It had always been there, quietly humming with creation itself.
Without delay, Lucien returned to his room back in Lootwell. He sat cross-legged, closed his eyes... then let his consciousness sink inward. The world faded and soon... he stood once more inside his Inner Realm.
But something felt different. Lucien blinked, dazed. He was… inside. No, this wasn't just his consciousness entering the divine energy core as usual. His entire being was here.
"What happened…?" he muttered.
Lucien extended his will outward, beyond the confines of his divine energy core... and what he saw made him pause.
Outside, in his room, his body was gone. In its place lies a small golden orb.
