Chapter 127 - Pandora : Pegasus is my son ?

Pandora's footsteps were light and stealthy, her heart pounding.

It was a scene that existed only in fantasy, a dream come true.

At this moment, Pegasus, surrounded by a gentle purple aura of Thanatos, appeared defenselessly before her, even falling into her hands. This was a sight Pandora wouldn't even dare to dream of.

"Perhaps, as humans say, reality is stranger than dreams." Pandora smiled, overflowing with killing intent.

She summoned her trident, temporarily employing the barrier power bestowed upon her by Hypnos to seal off all directions. This time, she would ensure she could deliver a fatal blow.

Even if not, she absolutely had to inflict an unbearable, fatal blow.

"You demon-born Pegasus brat, watch as I..."

Her power surged unreservedly towards the divine artifact.

She locked onto Pegasus' throat, grabbed his hair, just as she intended to stab down with force. With the contact of their bodies, a scene she had never witnessed before emerged in her eyes.

She found herself standing in a world of pure white, with pure white wings descending from a boundless sky.

The next moment, she arrived in a pitch-black universe, where a boy, soon to be born as a God, was enjoying an eternal slumber, and Pandora was gently patting his head, lulling him to sleep.

The next moment, a colossal ancient wheel began to hum. With each forward turn, power belonging to Gods was crushed and destroyed, then reborn as sacred symbols in the center of the wheel. In this scene, Pandora's vision was enveloped by darkness.

Eternal Sleep, Hypnos' Authority, the power of the God of Sleep, Pandora and Pegasus, from the future... Unconsciously, her trident clattered to the ground.

"Pegasus, is... Hypnos's... son?" Pandora's voice rose in disbelief, almost erupting into a sharp cry.

The next instant, an imposing divine aura appeared outside her palace.

Pandora suddenly awoke at this moment.

She instantly appeared at the doorway, a power granted to her by the previous Hades, allowing her to freely traverse the Underworld. Coincidentally, at this very moment, she stood before a golden-haired God, who was just one step away from crossing the barrier and entering her palace.

"Is there a problem, Pandora?" With a face identical to Thanatos, Hypnos gazed at the woman before him.

"I sensed you just used the Authority I granted you, and there also seems to be an aura of Thanatos within your palace."

"I was just removing the stains from the wounds Pegasus sustained when he killed the crystal and the people, and was unwillingly tainted by Thanatos," Pandora replied with her usual smile.

"Rather, why have you come here?"

"Because Pegasus might be here," Hypnos said, uttering words that made her heart pound.

"My barrier already covers this space. Even if one could cross from the Otherworld, I would certainly sense it." Hypnos frowned slightly.

"As the encirclement gradually shrinks, where do you think he is?"

"I think he might no longer be in this layer of Hell," Pandora replied.

"Oh? Why do you say that? Is it that peculiar combat technique of his that can traverse distances?"

"You are truly discerning. That combat technique of his is likely the power of some unknown God; otherwise, it wouldn't have appeared before Lord Hades in such an unusual manner. That is to say, he could appear anywhere."

Hypnos said nothing, merely staring intently at Pandora with his eyes that contained pentagrams.

"That's probably not the reason," he suddenly said softly.

Pandora's heart was now in her throat.

She felt that the next moment, golden light might tear through the barrier behind her, destroying it into ruins, and then revealing the true reason.

"Your spirit is restless, your thoughts are chaotic; I can sense it," Hypnos smiled.

"Rest well. Don't trouble yourself over Pegasus and Hades anymore. I wish you sweet dreams."

As Hypnos departed, Pandora did not dispel the barrier.

Her tense spirit did indeed relax, but she slowly ran her hand through her hair, letting out a long sigh that even she found unbelievable.

"What's happening to this world? What's happening to me?"

The physical conflict was sealed within by the Solar Corona Furnace. In the Sea of Consciousness, the clash between the two souls was the key to determining victory and defeat.

"—You are one of the Twin Gods who serve King Hades, the God who governs the destruction and life-and-death of all things in the entire universe! Accompanied by Seiya's imposing declaration, this chaotic Sea of Consciousness was instantly tainted by golden light, transforming into the warrior's domain of the Golden Sword."

"Mere human, you don't actually think you can challenge a God, do you?" Thanatos watched sarcastically the figure standing tall in the sky.

"Don't mistake me for some upstart like Pandora!"

He disliked Pegasus, and even more so, his audacious posture of standing above a God.

He swept his palm down, and a truly terrifying decree of fate unleashed a destructive tide in the Sea of Consciousness. But he quickly saw it being nullified by the constantly flashing Golden Swords in the sky.

Thanatos frowned; the situation before him was somewhat beyond his comprehension.

Although he was uttering the utmost ridicule, in reality, he treated Pegasus, who had once gravely wounded Hades' true body and possessed the Power of the Fox God, with considerable seriousness. The attacks he launched were certainly not comparable to those directed at the Cancer Saint.

But he quickly found that his Terrifying Decree of Fate was being nullified by those Golden Swords. It wasn't a normal attack nullification; it was like fire meeting water, being nullified by another elemental power specifically tailored against his own, and this conceptual counter was continuously intensifying with time.

"Among the Twin Gods, though you are as renowned as Hypnos, in truth, whether in terms of personality, intelligence, or power, you cannot stand shoulder to shoulder with your brother." Seiya made no attempt to conceal his scorn for Thanatos.

"If you had chosen Sage, you might have been able to take a Sanctuary Pope with your lowly soul, but now... you can only be a transport captain, you dog!"

Thanatos suppressed his inner fury.

Although he was merely a soul, with a wave of his hand, he still used his Authority to seize nearly half of the Sea of Consciousness's sky and land before him, tainting it into a realm of death where all things would sink into oblivion.

Yet, he found that Pegasus before him remained unmoved, while the orb of light above his head, like a star, was rapidly growing.

"Thanatos, you are Thanatos from Ancient Greek Mythology, your divine name is Mors. You are Hypnos's twin brother, born of Nyx, the Goddess of Night. You are one of the few Second Generation Gods among the Greek Gods who wield important Divine Authority!"
