Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: A World Gone Arrogant

Beneath the ashen moonlight, Nirvaan walked barefoot across the shattered plains of Zareth. Cities now gleamed with glass towers and arcane light — a new world built atop bones.

He looked on with disdain.

"They have grown arrogant... forgetting the blood they spilled to build this peace."

A convoy of sky chariots hovered above him. Their riders wore golden armor, symbols of the Celestial Accord shining on their breastplates.

"Identify yourself!" barked one of them.

Nirvaan raised his gaze. "I am the sin your ancestors buried."

They fired beams of holy light. Nirvaan merely raised his hand — and time itself bent, freezing the beams mid-air. With a snap, they reversed direction and consumed the chariots in silence.

Smoke curled into the sky.

"Your gods gave you toys," he muttered. "Let's see how long they last."

The city lights in the horizon flickered — as if sensing the wrath that approached.

The world thought it had evolved beyond monsters.

It was wrong.
