After Magnus was bathed and dressed in fresh clothes, it was Xavier's turn. He entered the room with his usual grace, but the moment he slid into the warm water, all the tension seemed to melt from his body. He leaned back, letting me gently pour water over him.
He said quietly, "You have a way of making everything feel… so much better. Like nothing else matters when you're here."
I smiled, my fingers brushing over his skin as I worked.
"I'm just trying to take care of you, Xavier. You've done so much for me."
"You've done more than you know," he murmured, eyes closing as he let the warmth wash over him.
Finally, it was Damien's turn. Unlike the others, Damien was less comfortable with the idea of being bathed by someone else, but he trusted me.
He sat quietly in the tub, his broad shoulders tense as I worked, my touch light.
