Damien and Xavier froze. Their eyes widened, and their sweet smile faded.
"What?" Damien asked.
I looked up at them. "Please… just reject me. I don't deserve this. I don't deserve either of you."
Xavier stepped toward me. "Why would you say that?" His brow furrowed.
"I'm weak," I sobbed. "I'm holding you back. How am I supposed to be your Luna when I can't even stand up for myself?"
Damien's jaw clenched. "We don't care about that, Andra."
"But I do!" I cried. "You don't understand. Everyone is watching me, judging me. They think I'm worthless, and maybe they're right. Maybe I'm not meant to be your mate. Maybe I'm not meant to be the Luna."
There was a long silence as Damien and Xavier exchanged worried glances.
"Andra," Damien called softly. "We accepted you because we believe in you, not because of how strong you are in a fight. Being Luna isn't just about that."
