Chapter 657 - Chapter 657: Come Find Me Again When You Can’t Take It Anymore

"I've set up a concealed barrier around Orario. Its primary function is to locate and lock onto individuals within the city, then project their data onto this miniature model displayed on the stone table."

The Orario model had already demonstrated astonishing precision. Anyone detected by the barrier would appear as data projections across the map.

Bell casually zoomed the model in and out, then focused on the territory belonging to Freya Familia. Instantly, the model displayed the projected figures of Freya Familia's members.

"The outer barrier is perfectly arranged. I even had Hestia and the others help me test its strength to ensure no one can sense its presence."

"Of course, I'm well aware that no setup is flawless. That's why I designed the barrier to nearly overlap with Orario's own outer barrier. Even if someone happened to notice something, they wouldn't suspect me."

Bell knew full well that being discovered would cause serious complications. That's why he had prepared for the possibility of detection in advance.

The Guild was the only place he could truly feel at ease.

Now that he was aligned with the Guild's interests, even if the god Ouranos discovered what he was doing, he likely wouldn't intervene—at least not until the Evilus situation was fully resolved. Until then, Bell knew Ouranos would choose to turn a blind eye.

Understanding that boundary, Bell had grown bolder in his methods, far more than in the past when he had been strictly cautious.

Still, he was aware that once the Evilus affair ended, this map couldn't remain in his possession. Otherwise, even Ouranos might take issue with it.

So this time, Bell decided simply to hand it over, saving himself the trouble.

"Besides the city of Orario, there's also surveillance of the Dungeon."

The miniature city model shifted, transforming into a scaled-down model of the Dungeon's structure.

The first eighteen floors appeared in complete detail—every corridor and chamber rendered with precision.

From the twentieth floor onward, the model became increasingly fragmented. Floors twenty-five through twenty-seven were still highly detailed, but the next few levels were incomplete. The Dungeon was always shifting; even seemingly stable areas could change without warning.

Still, from the thirtieth to the thirty-seventh floor, everything remained fully mapped. That was Evilus's active zone, after all—there was no way Bell would leave it unwatched.

"The closer the Dungeon is to the surface, the less it shifts, so the first eighteen floors are fully stable. Nearly every corner is within my sight."

"The deeper it goes toward the Middle Floors, the more frequently the Dungeon moves. In those areas, my vision tends to desynchronize, so many of the middle floors aren't fully visible."

"However, I've made sure floors thirty through thirty-seven stay within my monitoring range. Evilus operates primarily between floors thirty and thirty-five—those are the levels you need to keep the closest watch on."

"Additionally, Evilus activity originates from the twentieth floor. If they start transporting anything again, it'll likely begin there. You'll need to keep an eye on several key locations."

Long-term surveillance covers floors thirty to thirty-seven, with periodic checks on the twentieth floor.

The workload was immense—one of the main reasons Bell couldn't handle it alone.

Asfi gazed silently at the three-dimensional map before her, which displayed nearly every level of the Dungeon up to the thirty-seventh floor. Lost in thought, she slowly exhaled.

"No wonder you've been saying work's been hectic lately, Mr. Cranel."

Studying the Dungeon's 3D map, Asfi rubbed her eyes, feeling a mild headache coming on. She could already tell she wouldn't be getting much rest for a while.

"With so many areas to monitor, how do you even find time to train?"

Asfi's curiosity was genuine.

By her estimation, handling all these responsibilities should have left Bell with little to no energy for anything else. Yet somehow, he still managed to make time for other pursuits. That was far from normal.

Bell pressed his temples, looking troubled.

"I just have to find spare moments where I can."

"Though there's not much free time, I still try to make some for myself. But because of the Dungeon surveillance, I can't fully focus on training. The results haven't been great."

Part of that was because, for now, he didn't need to worry about advancing any further.

"Anyway, I'm leaving this part of the work to you."

"And if you notice anything unusual, don't panic. There's a red button beside the stone table—press it, and I'll contact you within thirty seconds."

Bell had already accounted for the possibility of emergencies, so he'd added that function to the table. With all the key features in place, the next issue was maintaining surveillance.

"Recently, I've been searching the surface for unmarked secret locations. Until I've found all the bases aboveground in Orario, I won't be heading into the Dungeon. So for now, I'll be able to respond to you quickly."

Asfi nodded in understanding.

But when she turned back to the stone table and the Dungeon floors projected upon it, she felt a wave of pressure.

This job wasn't as simple as it sounded. She'd have to keep a constant eye on the monitors, and if she missed even a moment—if Evilus slipped past unnoticed—it could spell disaster.

Seeing that Asfi understood the weight of the task, Bell let out a quiet sigh of relief and prepared to leave.

"Well then, 'Perseus,' I'll take my leave."

"Mr. Cranel, are you heading out to investigate the surface bases now?"

"...No. I'm actually planning to get some rest. Between keeping watch on the Dungeon and searching for surface bases, I haven't had a proper break in ages. Now that I have a chance, I intend to relax for a while."

Bell paused before stepping away and turned to glance at the harmless-looking god, Hermes.

"Hmm, 'Perseus,' if you ever need a break, you can hand things over to Hermes. When neither of you can manage anymore, then come find me."

"I'm off."
