The Emperor paced back and forth in his room. He had both hands behind him as the Empress knelt down at the corner close to the bed.
Her face was bruised, her hair disheveled. She looked a mess after all she had gone through in the place he had sent her. She stared up at him with a gasp. "You... Where is my daughter...? What... what did you do to her...?"
The Emperor stared down at her with a grim expression. He scoffed. "I've already told you to shut up. You're so noisy... I'm trying to think here."
She glared at him. "You can do all you want to me... I don't care..." She was struggling to breathe out words. "But I'll never let you off if you harm my daughter!"
He scoffed. "And what are you going to do about it? Kill me?" He laughed.
The Empress stared at him with contempt. "You're not the man I fell in love with! You're not the man I love...!"
