Queen Elizabeth had already washed up. Her lady-in-waiting helped her get dressed into an elegant red attire. One that screamed power and royalty. One she would wear for an extremely important event.
She sat before the full-length mirror as her lady-in-waiting helped style her hair.
The Lady-in-waiting stared at her face through the mirror as she asked, "The throne isn't a fun place to sit. Are you sure about it?"
But Queen Elizabeth smiled. "I've been planning this for years. Why wouldn't I be sure? Besides, if it's not a fun place, I'll make it fun then," she said confidently as the Lady-in-waiting smiled.
"Then I'll stand by you till the end, My Queen," the Lady-in-waiting expressed.
Just then, a knock came on the door.
"Come in," Queen Elizabeth permitted as a guard walked in. "What is it?" she stared at him.
"They have summoned you," was all he needed to say, and they already knew what he meant. Queen Elizabeth nodded with a smile as the guard left.
