The atmosphere was stiff and cold. King Edward had a smirk while his eyes met the cold glare of the Priest of Elzager.
"Your Majesty, please refrain from using provocative words you can't account for," he said. "It won't do anyone any good."
King Edward scoffed. "Is that so? Then I guess I'll have to mind my language so I don't provoke the Grand Priest of Elzager."
"You flatter me. I don't deserve such considerations," he smiled. "And I wonder for what reason the King of Valencrest is so desperate to summon me. I fear if I'll even be of much help. Or if Your Majesty is just overestimating my skills."
"How could I?" King Edward smiled. "I summoned you certainly because I know you're more than capable of it. I'm never wrong with my judgement."
They stared at each other, exchanging cold glares in the tense atmosphere between them, before the Priest smiled. "So, how may I help you, Your Majesty?"
