Chapter 25 - 25

The Spring Festival this year was relatively late, and the new semester didn't start until February. I came to the classroom in a cheerful mood, carrying my newly bought laptop. I used my phone to contact the members of the MCN and manage my investment products, used the computer to make videos, and when I was bored, I would flip through my textbooks. It was actually much more relaxing than during the vacation. Of course, I didn't have to worry about the data fees anymore. After having more money at my disposal, I even thought that some of my classmates who used to be indifferent to me in the past seemed a bit endearing now. "Morning, Xiao Ge," I said to my tall deskmate who was struggling to keep his eyes open. Xiao Ge yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Oh." He had done quite well in the final exam and ranked in the middle of the class. Originally, according to the ranking for seat selection, he could have sat in a more forward position, but he still chose the last row. When he saw my equipment clearly, he couldn't help but exclaim, "That's awesome!" "What's the configuration of your laptop?" I turned the screen towards him and showed him. "It's a business laptop. You can't play Dota on it." "Dota? What's that? I've never heard of it!" He seemed a bit guilty. He stared at the computer with great interest. "You're directly using it in the classroom? Won't it be confiscated?" I snorted. "I'm the top student in the grade. No one will interfere with me." His words reminded me that there was still someone who hadn't fulfilled the bet regarding being the top student in the grade. "True. You're really amazing," Xiao Ge said as he sat down. "The review method you taught me last semester was really effective. I was right to latch onto you." He grinned, revealing his neatly arranged teeth. "By the way, do you like chocolate?" he suddenly asked. In my impression, chocolate was a delicious but expensive snack, and I simply couldn't afford to eat it. "I haven't eaten it much... I saw a kind of chocolate called Ferrero in the mall. A box costs more than a hundred yuan. It's incredibly expensive." "Ferrero? Yeah, I know it." We chatted casually for a few words, and then the class began, so we quietly went about our own business.
