After activating his ninjutsu, Tu Yi quickly left his residence without leaving any suspicious traces for the Anbu to detect.
Following his memory, Tu Yi appeared in front of the Uchiha district.
Although this place belonged to the Uchiha clan, due to the recent easing of tensions between the clan and the village, it was no longer sealed off, preventing outsiders from entering the district. Instead, it had become like an ordinary street where everyone could walk freely.
Of course, the more important areas of the Uchiha compound remained closed to the public, with only the residential neighborhoods open.
The Uchiha district covered a vast area, divided into four quarters, with two main roads forming a cross-shaped intersection that spanned the entire district.
Tu Yi was still disguised as Yufei while walking through the district. Since he had already shaken off the Anbu, he felt no sense of being watched as he strolled around, and no one here recognized him.
After all, this was a place he had lived in for many years, so Tu Yi was quite familiar with it. Soon, he arrived at what used to be his old doorstep.
Standing in front of the door, Tu Yi could already sense the familiar aura inside.
This was something he had thought about for a long time before finally deciding to do it. Although he hadn't yet accomplished everything he needed to do, deep down, Tu Yi still held feelings for Ka Uchiha.
Since arriving in this world, she had always stayed by his side, taking care of him.
When Tu Yi arrived in this world—familiar in memory yet unfamiliar in body—he felt lost and bewildered.
Fortunately, there was Ka Uchiha, who cared for him like real family, helping him get through those early days.
At first, when he discovered he had become a member of the Uchiha clan, Tu Yi's first thought was that life was hopeless.
In his memory, the Uchiha were a bunch of lunatics—emotionally unstable and mentally erratic.
But in reality, he had been biased himself, and Ka showed Tu Yi that the Uchiha could also be loving, emotional, and full of life.
A faint smile formed on Tu Yi's face as if recalling something; his eyes softened and slightly narrowed.
"Thud... thud!"
Tu Yi knocked on the wooden door with his right hand while peering through the crack to see what was happening inside.
"Who is it? Coming... coming!"
Ka heard the sound from inside and put down whatever she was doing, peering out from the house to respond.
She was preparing lunch. As she had grown older, her meal times had gradually shifted earlier.
Waking up early in the morning, she would get up at five or six o'clock and finish breakfast, naturally having lunch earlier too.
Even though it was barely past ten o'clock, she had already started preparing lunch and was almost done.
Her hair had turned white, her face dotted with age spots. Stooped over, Ka walked slowly along the small path in the yard, bypassing the white flower beds, approaching the gate.
At this hour, whoever came to visit her must be either Shisui Uchiha or Itachi Uchiha.
Those two boys had been visiting her often in recent years—they were also Tu Yi's best friends back then.
Creak!
Ka Uchiha smiled as she opened the wooden door, but her eyes widened in confusion. The person standing at the entrance was someone she didn't recognize.
Not only was he unfamiliar, he felt strange to her — because the visitor knocking on her door was a Rain Ninja.
Though not a ninja herself, years of living had given her enough knowledge to recognize the rain ninja's hitai-ate.
"Who are you...?"
Leaning slightly against the wooden door frame, Ka tilted her head up to look at the man's face. But when her gaze met his calm yet vibrant eyes, something suddenly stirred within her. Her eyes widened in shock. She knew that look far too well.
"Obā-san..."
Saitama remained silent for quite some time, staring at Ka's face — familiar, yet somehow different.
Because they hadn't seen each other in so long, and she had visibly aged, it gave him the feeling of encountering someone from another lifetime.
At first, Ka only recognized Saitama's eyes. She hesitated to draw conclusions until the word "Grandma" reached her ears. Then, she couldn't hold back any longer.
"It really is Saitama!"
As though youth had returned to her body, Ka tightly gripped Saitama's hand and pulled him into the yard.
Then, she couldn't help peeking her head out left and right, carefully checking whether anyone nearby was watching.
She hadn't forgotten what Shisui once told her — that Saitama was now a rogue ninja of Konoha.
It slammed shut with a loud thud! She leaned heavily against the door, nervously patting her chest in relief.
Only after completing all that could she finally get a good look at Saitama.
And Saitama, as always, gently went along with it. Calmly stepping in as soon as Ka pulled him forward, he stood quietly, watching her go through all that.
"You really are Saitama?"
Although Ka felt the man's eyes were indeed very familiar, his appearance looked vastly different.
"It's me, Grandma..."
Saitama's face began to shift, as if reshaping itself. In no time, he returned to his original appearance — the one Ka knew so well.
"Ahh, Saitama..."
Looking at the familiar Saitama before her, Ka's voice trembled slightly, though it thankfully didn't carry far.
Without hesitation, she threw her arms around his waist — embracing the child she hadn't seen in years and who, not long ago, she'd heard was dead.
"Yeah, it's me, Grandma!"
Unsurprised, Saitama naturally hugged Ka back. Because of height and age differences, Ka's small figure seemed even smaller, barely reaching his chest, perhaps even shorter.
It took a while before Ka regained her composure, slowly lifting her head to look up at Saitama.
"I thought I'd never see you again in my lifetime!"
Reaching out, she gently touched Saitama's cheek, eyes glistening with tears.
As people age, they get more emotional — it's just how it is.
"How could that be? I actually came back before, but the timing just wasn't right — I didn't dare visit you back then."
Smiling, Saitama placed both hands on Ka's shoulders. As he spoke, he slightly lowered his head, making it easier for Ka to reach up and touch his face without needing to stretch or stand on tiptoes.
"Good… Good!"
Since finding out that Saitama had become a rogue ninja, Ka Uchiha had been emotionally conflicted.
She was so happy he hadn't died, yet deeply distressed because becoming a rogue meant he could never come back to visit her.
After all, Konoha was the top ninja village—rogues dared not show their faces there.
But now, Saitama actually stood before her. This made her feel like today was truly a blessed day.
"Come inside first!"
Without asking about anything else, Ka Uchiha immediately pulled Saitama toward the house.
For a rogue ninja, even coming back to visit her already put him at great risk. Asking further questions would only increase the danger.
Saitama nodded and placed one hand on Ka's shoulder while holding her other hand as they walked forward.
As he looked around, he saw that many white flowers were planted in the yard. Now, during this season, they were fully in bloom.
Walking along the narrow garden path, Saitama supported Ka Uchiha as they quickly entered the house.
"Quickly, come in! Obā-san just happens to have cooked something delicious today—and there's even your favorite, red-cooked pork!"
Ka gestured for Saitama to sit down, then cheerfully moved over toward the kitchen stove.
Saitama didn't refuse. He sat, casting his gaze casually around the room.
He noticed the layout was almost exactly as he'd left it. Despite growing older, Obā-san still kept everything neat and spotless.
Soon, a plate of braised pork, which had already been simmering in the pot, was brought to the table. Ever since Saitama was little and had told Ka how to prepare it, she often made this dish just to bring him joy. Red-cooked pork had become a regular part of her home cooking.
Nothing more was said about their circumstances—neither of them brought up their past again. They simply ate and drank just as they used to years ago.
When Saitama ate, Ka smiled; when Saitama drank, Ka also smiled...
In dreams over the past five or six years, she had often dreamed of moments like this. She never imagined they would finally reoccur in reality today.
