Chapter 178 - Chapter 178 Manda

White smoke continuously billowed, and a massive shadow gradually emerged from the mist.

Its body was enormous, entirely covered in purple scales that promised formidable defense. On its oversized head sprouted several strange horns, making it look even more ferocious.

This was Manda, leader of the Summoned Snake Clan—second only to the mysterious White Snake Sage and the three elders under his tutelage: Hebihime.

Glancing sideways with suspicion, Manda sensed something wrong—the figure standing atop its head didn't seem like the familiar Orochimaru?

Boom! With a whip of its tail, Manda lashed out at the person standing on its head.

"Cursed! Who are you?! Where's Orochimaru?!"

Saitama sprang into action, dodging Manda's attack with a powerful kick. He crossed his arms and landed calmly in front of Manda, face completely blank.

Hearing the snake speak human language, Saitama remained silent, merely watching it impassively.

"Hmph, ignoring me huh? No matter who you are or how you got the scroll and signed the contract, if your strength is too weak, I won't acknowledge you!"

Manda could naturally sense that this young man was the one who had just summoned him.

But as a cold-blooded creature, it wasn't easy to get along with—it wasn't just anyone who could form an "alliance" with it.

"Still, since you've signed the summoning contract, I won't break my word either. Every time you summon me, prepare live human sacrifices for me. The number depends on the enemy's strength!"

Manda narrowed its eyes, the dark stripes on its body undulating as it spoke.

White vapor puffed steadily from its nostrils with every breath.

"Hehehe, Manda!"

After hearing what Manda said, Saitama's mouth slightly curved upward, revealing an amused expression.

"Hmm? Do you have any doubts?" Manda stretched its snake head closer toward Saitama, lowering its body somewhat. A pair of giant eyes suddenly appeared before Saitama, just a few meters away, filled with undisguised malice.

It looked like if Saitama even said no, it would rip him apart then and there.

The close proximity brought forth a wave of foul odor spewing from Manda's mouth, engulfing Saitama.

This stench reminded Saitama of the old "outhouse" from his past life—the rotting smell was eerily close to Manda's breath.

"You haven't figured out the current situation yet!"

Lifting his head slightly, Saitama's eyes remained clear and calm. His hands were still tucked inside his pockets, showing no sign of coming out.

The atmosphere instantly grew tense. Manda stared with its serpent pupils, breathing heavier—was this youth provoking it?

Even Orochimaru, who had once dominated the entire Shinobi World, needed to pay a heavy price each time he summoned it. How dare this youngster speak like this?

"Roar!" Raising its head high, Manda roared furiously, ready to teach this arrogant brat a lesson!

"Hmph!" Saitama's gaze swept sideways, catching sight of a swinging tail rushing toward him.

Remaining motionless at first, Saitama waited until the last moment—when the tail arrived within a meter of him and the wind pressure had already reached his face—then activated a Ninjutsu technique he hadn't used for a long time.

[Flying Thunder God Technique]

Whoosh!

A dark crimson figure streaked past in a flash. Its tail slammed into the ground, leaving behind a massive crater—but Saitama wasn't there.

Thud! Footsteps rang out, as if stepping on metal.

Saitama appeared atop Manda's head—the exact spot he had first stepped on after summoning Manda.

Under Saitama's feet, lined across Manda's head, were rows of black markings—none other than Saitama's Flying Thunder God Jutsu Seal.

"Roar!" Manda roared furiously. Twisting its serpent head, it tried to bite down on Saitama.

Suddenly, a powerful blow crashed down from above without warning.

The force was overwhelming. As a colossal Boss Summon, it had been ages since Manda had felt such strength from a human.

The last time was when that fearsome woman, who once rivaled Orochimaru herself, fought him.

Boom! The snake's head plunged deep into the ground. Countless cracks rippled outward from its skull like waves across flat land.

Saitama stood calmly atop the beast's head, his expression unchanged, hands still buried casually in his pockets.

His enhanced physique, when reinforced with chakra, allowed him to replicate effects akin to [Tsunade's Monster Strength Fist].

While the power varied depending on his chakra reserves and was slightly slower compared to Tsunade's more instinctive control, every other aspect was essentially indistinguishable.

Despite suffering such a devastating blow, Manda's counterattack remained fierce. Its body twisted violently, trying to shake off Saitama standing firmly on its head.

Not that any ninja would fall for such a simple trick. With just chakra coating his feet, Saitama could cling firmly to any surface.

Whoosh! The monstrous tail swept forward with tremendous force toward Saitama.

Wanting to make a strong impression on Manda, Saitama decided to do something unusual. Slowly, he pulled his hands out of his pockets, reaching toward the incoming tail.

Powerful chakra surged into his arms and hands. Muscles hidden beneath his sleeves tensed tightly, and blue veins surfaced on his skin.

Purple, delicate scales covered the tail, each etched with thick black markings. At its end, hardened by years of combat, the scales grew even tougher.

Manda watched him carefully from the corner of its eye, its gaze brimming with malice.

Whether you're with Orochimaru or not—if you challenge me like this, you'll regret it!

The air compressed violently, tearing with a whistling sound as the thick tail smashed directly toward the seemingly frail Saitama.

Crack! Manda expected the impact to send Saitama flying, at the very least causing critical internal injuries.

But upon contact, it hesitated slightly!

This human's body turned out to be unexpectedly tough—and although small-built, his strength was surprisingly immense!

Its eyes narrowed, Manda prepared another attack. Twisting its body fiercely, it stirred up dust from the entire battlefield.

"Nowhere to run," Saitama muttered, taking a deep breath as he kept his feet firmly attached to Manda's scales with chakra.

From Manda's previous body twist, Saitama now found himself near the middle section of its body.

Manda was incredibly thick—his two arms alone couldn't fully wrap around it. But using chakra ensured Manda wouldn't slip away so easily.

"Hmm..."

Manda's snake eyes widened. Still couldn't pull its tail back—this Young Apprentice's strength was truly formidable!

Zzzt! A Blue-White Surge of Electric Shock crackled across Saitama's arm as his face began showing signs of strain, revealing he had started exerting himself.

To fight against a Boss Summon whose physical body rivals that of Tailed Beasts using only human strength—this was no ordinary feat!

"Heh!" Saitama roared, digging his ten fingers tightly into Manda's scaled armor.

Swish! Manda felt an irresistible force appear and its entire snake body started losing control.

With one powerful move, Saitama grabbed the tail, leapt upward with his body first, then twisted mid-air completing a full 360-degree flip.

Manda's eyes flashed with shock and disbelief at Saitama's maneuver.

Boom! The ground shuddered violently as Manda got slammed into the ground again, countless shattered stone slabs rebounding into the air from the shockwave.

"Roar!" Manda growled urgently but Saitama wasn't about to give it a chance.

Immediately after slamming Manda down without waiting for retaliation, chakra surged through Saitama's body as continuous Blue-White Surges of Electric Shock exploded outward, spreading across Manda's entire form along his arms.

Crackle! Manda's wide eyes showed pain in its vertically slit pupils before stretching its mouth open at an impossible angle.

"You damn human brat!"

Pfft! Lightning surged through its body—Manda writhed helplessly under Saitama's [Chidori Current].

Thin wisps of black smoke rose from between Manda's scales followed by a distinct burnt odor.

Saitama didn't stop there. His body leapt upward while releasing his grip on Manda.

[Chidori Light Sword]

Still mid-air, three Tomoe suddenly appeared and rotated within Saitama's pupils.

And on his right hand, dazzling blue currents compressed tighter and tighter, letting off grating zaps.

Fwoosh! With a sharp cry, the [Chidori] originally concentrated in his palm extended straight out forming a 1.2-meter-long blue-white spear!

"Go!"

Looking down as Manda still struggled weakly from the lingering shock of his earlier [Chidori Current], Saitama narrowed his eyes.

With a fierce motion, he flung the electric spear straight for Manda's tail!

Electricity electrolyzed the air, emitting a pungent, ammonia-like odor.

Manda's eyes widened. Its body remained paralyzed from the electricity—it seemed unable to dodge this attack!

"That damned human brat!" Red bled into Manda's pupils as traces of fear surfaced!
