Boom!
A single punch sent Kitsuchi flying backward. After all, not everyone is named Tsunade.
"Kitsuchi's Shock Value +500"
"Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"
A rock-formed dragon appeared, lunging toward the clay ant colossus.
Boom!
With another simple punch, the clay ant colossus shattered the Earth Dragon Bullet into pieces.
However, this brief delay was enough for Kitsuchi to regain his footing. He flipped up from the ground and quickly formed hand seals.
"Earth Release: Mountain Earth Technique!"
Two massive hemispheres made of rock emerged from both sides, clamping down on the clay ant colossus and rendering it immobile for the moment.
This was Kitsuchi's signature jutsu. In the original story, it was even capable of temporarily suppressing the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, making it an incredibly powerful technique.
"Secret Technique: Dragon's Nest!"
A swarm of dragons was summoned, rushing toward the rock hemispheres that had trapped the clay ant colossus.
"Wind Release: Vacuum Wave!"
A blade of air shot out from Onoki's mouth. Being a combination of Wind, Earth, and Fire elements, Dust Release naturally meant Onoki could also use Wind and Fire Release techniques.
The Vacuum Wave sliced through the leading dragons, cutting them in half. However, this didn't solve the problem—the sheer number of dragons was overwhelming.
"Ha!"
With a loud explosion, Kitsuchi's Mountain Earth Technique was blasted apart, freeing the clay ant colossus, which once again charged toward Onoki and Kitsuchi.
"This time, let me handle it!"
"Earth Release: Stone Fist Technique!"
"Earth Release: Weighted Rock Technique!"
After enhancing the weight of his fist, Onoki's strength skyrocketed. He was confident he could take on the massive clay ant head-on.
Boom!
When their attacks collided, a terrifying shockwave rippled outward. Both Onoki and the clay ant colossus remained firmly in place—it was a stalemate.
"Ouch! My back!"
Suddenly, Onoki cried out in pain, his free hand trembling as it clutched his lower back. Cold sweat poured down his face as he grimaced.
"Honestly, if you know your back is bad, why do you keep doing dangerous stunts?" Kitsuchi sighed. His father was already at an advanced age yet still insisted on pulling off risky moves.
"Old man, if you're not up for it, just admit defeat!" Deidara taunted from above.
"Shut up, you brat!"
Faced with the relentless pursuit of the clay ant colossus, Onoki decided to escalate his response. Since ordinary ninjutsu couldn't harm it, he opted for something extraordinary.
"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World!"
A transparent cubic barrier formed between Onoki's palms, from which a beam of light shot out, enveloping the clay ant colossus. With a massive explosion, the colossus was completely disintegrated.
"How about that, brat?"
"Compared to my Dust Release, your so-called 'art' is nothing but flashy nonsense," Onoki mocked in return.
Indeed, from a certain perspective, Dust Release was superior to Deidara's explosions. Even the basic Dust Release techniques had power comparable to Deidara's C3 Standard Type: Number 18, but Dust Release offered controlled range and could be used multiple times with ease.
However, Dust Release had its fatal flaw—it was still ninjutsu. Onoki would have a hard time laughing if he ever faced the Rinnegan or the Preta Path.
Deidara's explosions, on the other hand, were pure physical damage, akin to Might Guy's Eight Gates attacks. Regardless of the enemy, they'd have to kneel before such raw power.
"Old man, don't underestimate me!"
"How many times can you use your Dust Release?"
"C2 Special Type: Myriad Snake Net Formation!"
Countless clay white snakes descended from the sky, quickly crawling across the ground and covering it entirely.
"Earth Release: Yellow Spring Swamp!"
Kitsuchi used a jutsu that turned the ground into a muddy swamp, trapping the clay white snakes, which struggled to free themselves.
Then let's take to the skies!
"C1 Special Type: Parasitic Bugs!"
A dense swarm of parasitic bugs filled the air, their annoying buzzing sound accompanying their dive toward Onoki and Kitsuchi below.
"Fire Release: Majestic Flame Destruction!"
Onoki spewed scorching flames from his mouth, while Kitsuchi wasn't idle either.
"Earth Release: Falling Clay!"
The troublesome Earth Release technique reappeared, wrapping countless parasitic bugs in clay and immobilizing them.
"Deidara, is this the extent of your art?" Onoki shouted at Deidara in the sky.
"Old man, I was planning to leave you some dignity, but since you're so insistent, let me show you my true power!"
The giant dragon and two Dragon Mothers in the sky transformed into artillery, continuously spewing bombs and creating chaos. Though Onoki and Kitsuchi could defend with Earth Release techniques, they were still left scrambling against the relentless bombardment.
"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World!"
Onoki began preparing another Dust Release attack. Seeing this, Deidara quickly scattered the formation of his dragon swarm while reaching into his clay pouch with both hands to chew.
"Old man, for every one of my creations your Dust Release destroys, I can make two more!"
"Let me show you what despair truly feels like!"
Boom!
A Dragon Mother was effortlessly disintegrated by Dust Release, but immediately afterward, two more Dragon Mothers emerged from Deidara's hands, soaring proudly into the sky.
Meanwhile, four Guardian Great Dragons stopped spectating and launched suicidal attacks toward Onoki and Kitsuchi.
"Father, be careful!"
Faced with the massive clay creatures, Kitsuchi grew increasingly cautious. Judging by the previous explosions, the damage from these attacks wouldn't be any less than an average S-rank jutsu.
"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"
Several massive stone walls rose to shield them, while Onoki lightly tapped Kitsuchi's shoulder.
"Light/Heavy-Weight Rock Technique!"
The two quickly retreated upward and backward, clearly aiming to put as much distance as possible between themselves and the explosion's epicenter.
"Ha!"
With a crisp shout, the four Guardian Great Dragons simultaneously erupted into beautiful yet deadly fireworks. The violent shockwaves easily shattered the stone walls.
Seeing the explosion closing in, Onoki and Kitsuchi formed seals together.
"Earth Release: Hardening Technique!"
Their bodies turned pitch black, significantly increasing their physical resistance and allowing them to barely withstand the explosion's damage.
Cough! Cough!
The two emerged from the blast, looking rather disheveled. Onoki waved his hand. "Enough! I'm done!"
Though he didn't want to admit it, Onoki knew he was no match for Deidara. Deidara's explosions were simply too overwhelming—defending against them was incredibly challenging.
In this moment, Dust Release's advantage of precise control ironically became a disadvantage. Dust Release could be dodged, but Deidara's explosions covered such vast areas that evasion was nearly impossible.
"How about it, old man?"
"Aren't you amazed by my art?"
Onoki feigned disdain. "It's barely passable. Compared to my Dust Release, it's far inferior."
Heh! Watching Onoki stubbornly refuse to admit defeat, Deidara chuckled inwardly.
If it weren't for the system constantly giving me Shock Value notifications, I might've believed him!
"Alright, I'm leaving now. You'd better not cause trouble for our organization in the future."
"Otherwise, Iwagakure won't be able to bear the consequences," Deidara warned.
"Uncle Kitsuchi, farewell." Deidara was much more polite to his future father-in-law.
"Take care, Deidara," Kitsuchi nodded, feeling a mix of defeat and pride.
"Father, what should Iwagakure do next?" Kitsuchi asked after Deidara left.
From Deidara's words, it was clear that Akatsuki was determined to unify the ninja world. Was Iwagakure supposed to just surrender its foundation without resistance?
"Wait and see!"
Surrendering their foundation was, of course, out of the question. Besides, Akatsuki's true capabilities were still unclear. Whether they even had the power to unify the ninja world remained uncertain.
"Don't think about Akatsuki anymore. Pretend they don't exist, understand?"
"Understood," Kitsuchi replied.
"Until that possibility arises, Iwagakure will continue as usual."
"Sunagakure is already fighting Konoha. Prepare for war and seize the opportunity—we might even take a bite out of Sunagakure."
Ideally, they'd target Konoha, but with Akatsuki standing between the Land of Earth and the Land of Fire, the only option was to focus on the Land of Wind.
