Taylor groaned painfully when she fell to the bottom of the stairs. But the pain was nothing compared to the fear she felt when she opened her eyes to see a pair of feets in black socks standing next to her head.
From what she could see, there was no maid standing by the dinning table which meant he had sent them away.
So there was no one else in the house besides the two of them. She didn't need to look up to know it was Andrew.
Ignoring her aching body, she got down on her knees and lowered her eyes to the floor.
"It wasn't my intention to lock myself in the kitchen today. Neither was it my intention to keep you waiting for me for over an hour. Please forgive me. I promise this will not happen again."
She didn't hear anything from him, but she exhaled quietly in relief when he turned and began walking back to the dinning table.
She swallowed down her pain as she forced herself off the floor walked after him with her face lowered to the floor.
