"Man, she must think you're some kind of pervert with a kinky obsession. If there's any chance you two will get along in the future, let alone get together, it just became thinner than a thread. Give it up."
In the hotel suite on the fifth floor, Miles Penner was sprawled on the couch in the living room, laughing his lungs out.
Ezra sat across from him, one leg crossed over the other, arms folded across his chest.
Watching the man laugh unwaveringly for almost a minute, he hissed irritably and turned his face away in disgust.
"Just keep laughing, and the next living room you'll be in will be the Penner family's."
The words were barely out of his mouth when Miles abruptly stopped laughing and sat up, wrinkling the bridge of his nose as he glared at Ezra with hostility.
"Tch! That was uncalled for."
