Chapter 173 - Chapter 173: Invitation from the King of All Worlds

Early the next morning, sunlight pierced through the gaps in the curtains, and Raditz woke up from his sleep. Warm, soft light touched his face as he breathed in a sweet, comforting scent.

Raditz turned slightly to his side and saw Zangya sleeping like a kitten, half her silky shoulder exposed outside the blanket. Her orange hair was loose, and her little mouth was pouted in an adorable way.

Thinking about how many times they'd gone crazy yesterday—after coming out of the swimming pool, Zangya's warrior spirit seemed to suddenly wake up, and she even took charge, which totally shocked Raditz. So they continued making good memories in the garden, bathroom, kitchen... Raditz thought to himself that if he hadn't been a Super Saiyan, he probably would've run out of energy.

"Raditz!" Suddenly a voice came from deep in his mind, interrupting his thoughts.

"Lord King Kai?"

The familiar voice belonged to King Kai, and the two were talking telepathically.

"I've already done what you asked me to do! The Grand Kai is holding a martial arts tournament soon, and all four galaxies will send their best fighters to compete. The winner gets to make a request to the Grand Kai!"

"The Otherworld Tournament?"

"It's not the Otherworld! It's the four galaxies!" King Kai corrected Raditz. "Hehehe, to be honest, our North Galaxy's got this in the bag. With you Super Saiyans, there's no way we can lose. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

"I remember this idea was proposed by the West Kai, right?"

"Ahaha..." King Kai laughed awkwardly. "Even though the West Kai suggested it, I've made plenty of contributions too. Don't be so serious about it. Anyway, you'll get to meet the Grand Kai!"

"A martial arts tournament... that's a good idea. I need a chance to compete with other fighters too. Lord Kai, tell me when it is."

"Two weeks from now."

"Two weeks? That's plenty of time to prepare."

"I'll contact you when the time comes. Hurry up and gather everyone who can participate."

King Kai finished explaining the important stuff and cut off their mental connection.

Raditz quietly got out of bed, not wanting to wake up Zangya who was sleeping so peacefully. He got dressed properly, grabbed something to eat, and teleported to another mansion he'd bought specifically for the Saiyans.

This was where Tarble and the others lived, and they'd built a gravity room on the east side for training. During the Saiyans' time on Earth, they hadn't stopped practicing even while enjoying the planet's high quality of life.

If he wanted to pick people for the Four Galaxy Martial Arts Tournament, these Saiyans were definitely the first choice.

Raditz's sudden appearance surprised Tarble and the others, but they assembled quickly, just like when they used to receive instructions at headquarters. Seeing them look like they were facing a major threat, Raditz wasn't sure whether to act serious or relaxed.

In the end, Raditz coughed twice and waved his hands gently. "Everyone, don't be nervous. It's nothing serious. I just wanted to tell you there's a good fighting opportunity coming up. I don't know if anyone wants to join..."

Before he could finish, the Saiyans who heard the word "fight" immediately exploded.

"A fight?! I'm in!"

"Me too!"

"Me, me, me!" Pepara seemed like she'd been holding back way too long and kept shouting.

"Doesn't matter who it is, they're getting beat! Hahaha!"

They didn't even want to know what the battle was about—as long as they could fight! Saiyans could be simple like that, maybe even a little extreme. This enthusiasm for fighting made them progress rapidly, but it also made them tend to get arrogant and impulsive when they got too excited. And arrogant impulses often went wrong. Wasn't Vegeta a perfect example?

His huge progress and long winning streak had made him way too proud.

Raditz exploded with Super Saiyan flames, and there was a loud "BANG" that shocked everyone. That powerful aura filled the entire room with overwhelming pressure, and everyone immediately shut up and went quiet.

"Don't get too cocky. This battle is different from all the big and small fights before. You'll be facing fighters from other galaxies. Even though it's a competition, everyone will go all out for their own honor. The other galaxies might not be as strong overall as us, but there'll always be one or two martial arts geniuses. Even I wouldn't dare say I'd dominate everyone, so where do you get your confidence?"

After getting scolded by Raditz, the excited Saiyans immediately cooled down and didn't dare respond.

"Master," Tarble stepped forward at this point. "With our current strength, when can we become Super Saiyans?"

"You're still far from it. Even though there are tricks to transforming into a Super Saiyan, it can't be done casually. The only way to get stronger is through training. There are still two weeks left. If you can raise your power level to over 3 million, I'll teach you the transformation tricks."

"3 million?!" Everyone was shocked. With their current levels, there was still a big gap from 3 million.

"Now that you know the gap, work harder." Raditz left them with that and turned around coldly. "Time to go to the Lookout and see how Gohan's doing."

With that, he used Instant Transmission and arrived at the Lookout.

The vast, deserted Lookout still only had two people—Kami and Mr. Popo. Kami was keeping up his old hobby of watching over the world, while Mr. Popo served by his side, standing a few steps back respectfully.

Even clouds couldn't reach up here. Thanks to Kami's little hobby, otherwise the two of them would be bored out of their minds all day.

Raditz took the initiative to greet them. "Hi, Mr. Popo."

"It's Raditz. Their time is almost up."

"That's what I'm here for."

With that, Raditz walked toward the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, wondering in his mind how much Gohan could have grown. When this kid got excited, he was off the charts every second, fighting way above his level like it was nothing. After his potential got developed, he didn't even need to transform into a Super Saiyan to reach Super Saiyan 3 level strength. If Gohan hadn't gotten sidetracked from martial arts by studying, he might've had a chance to surpass Goku.

While looking forward to seeing Gohan, Raditz was also thinking about his future. Soon he was going to retrieve the remaining Saiyans that might scatter in the galaxy. Besides building a Saiyan army, he had another selfish motive.

Creating a god!

A Super Saiyan God!

As long as five Saiyans with righteous hearts injected energy into another righteous Saiyan, the legendary Super Saiyan God from ancient times would be born! Raditz's whole purpose in working so hard to train them was to purge their evil hearts and return them to righteousness, so they could meet the conditions for divine transformation!

Counting the Saiyans around him, Goku and Gohan definitely had righteous hearts, Tarble was one too, but most of the rest were still somewhere between good and evil with no real concept of justice.

To become a god, there was still a long way to go.

Just as Raditz was thinking, the door opened with a "click."
