The sky was pure as freshly washed glass, like a mirror that would shatter at the slightest touch. All impurities had been removed, leaving only soft, clean white clouds drifting lazily. Under the warm sunshine, a gentle breeze stirred the leaves, making them flutter and spiral down like pattering yellow-green rain.
Zangya was lying sideways on a recliner, her long eyelashes framing eyes bright with curiosity as she watched Raditz intently. Her pink lips were pursed in concentration as she listened carefully.
"So Root was arranged by you all along."
She'd learned about Nappa's story from Raditz and had become fascinated, asking question after question. Besides Yamcha and the others, Raditz had only told Zangya about Root's true identity.
"So what happened to those two after that?"
"I don't know either. I heard things are going well, but they haven't made their relationship official yet."
"But Nappa didn't come back to Earth with you," Zangya pointed out.
Raditz smiled. "He seized the opportunity to go on an interstellar journey with Ariel—they took off in a spaceship together. He's probably somewhere in the Northern Galaxy right now."
This time Nappa had mustered up incredible courage to make that decision. Yamcha had given him lots of guidance, Bulma had prepared capsules for Nappa in advance, and everyone else had offered encouragement and high hopes.
So Nappa had embarked on his journey full of hope.
Some Saiyans couldn't understand his actions at all. After all, this was a first for any Saiyan. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, Raditz never would have believed that big oaf would suddenly wise up.
Zangya thought for a moment, her bright eyes blinking. "There should be lots of space beyond the Northern Galaxy, right? The universe is so huge—I'd really love to see it."
Yes, the universe was so vast, filled with magical scenery and different species. For girls like Zangya who yearned for adventure, it was incredibly appealing.
Raditz couldn't bear to see Zangya's disappointed expression. He smiled and said, "Let's go!"
"Where to?"
"Anywhere with people—let's tour the universe. I can teleport instantly." Raditz naturally took Zangya's hand.
Although neither had clearly stated their feelings, they both understood each other's thoughts. From the life-saving grace at the beginning, to caring for each other later, they'd now become part of each other's lives.
Zangya gripped Raditz's hand tightly, full of anticipation. She was breathless thinking about soon seeing the wonderful sights of the vast universe.
Raditz first used telepathy to ask King Kai about suitable planets to visit, then prepared to teleport.
"Let's go!"
And off they went.
They first arrived at a tourist planet covered in ice and snow. The ground was blanketed in white, and fierce northern winds blew snowflakes like goose feathers. A vast silver world whistling with primitive cold.
The most remarkable thing was that the mountains, rocks, and forests here were all made of crystal-clear ice formations that seemed coated with glittering gold under the pale light.
Raditz and Zangya had never seen such magnificent snow scenes. The pure white world captivated them. They rolled in the vast expanse of white snow, embracing the fluffy snowballs with open arms.
Zangya's skin reflected the snowy landscape, and her laughter warmed Raditz's heart.
Besides the snow scenes, there was also the gorgeous northern aurora that cut through the sky, piercing the heavens and creating breathtaking beauty with its gradient colors.
After experiencing the world of ice and snow, they came to Shelter, the Planet of Ten Thousand Islands. The sunset by the sea here was most famous—its afterglow reflected off the islands in bright red mixed with touches of golden yellow, embedded in the sky like gentle ripples on water.
Thousands of islands were scattered everywhere. At dusk, birds flapped their wings from the countless islands and soared toward where sky met sea.
Raditz and Zangya embraced at the highest point of an island, spinning around as the brilliant sunset flooded over them like a tide.
After that came the Silver Star Kingdom of the Eastern Galaxy, Giant Planet, and others, with their final stop being the Southern Galaxy.
Combat Planet Bodo.
This was a planet with a long history, famous for competitive fighting. It housed the most renowned fighting arena, where many of the universe's strongest gathered.
Raditz brought Zangya to Bodo Planet to find some excitement as their final arrangement before returning home.
After sensing dense ki signatures, he teleported directly to the fighting arena. The enclosed arena was grand and brightly lit, with stands packed full enough to hold tens of thousands. Raditz and Zangya could only find standing room.
"Wow, what a huge fighting arena!" Zangya exclaimed.
"It's kind of like the Colosseum in ancient Rome—and just as bloody."
"Ancient Rome?"
"Ah, it's nothing—something from my hometown..." Raditz caught himself, looked around to explain, but suddenly froze. "That... that is..." His voice trembled slightly as he lost control of his tongue. "Dragon Balls!"
Hanging above the arena's transparent dome, you could see a crystal-clear spherical object with several stars inside. It was definitely a Super Dragon Ball!
A person nearby curled his lips in disdain. "You new here? That's not a Dragon Ball—it's called the Dragon Star. What you see from here looks small, but it's actually planet-sized! The legend says it can grant wishes though. Win ten straight victories in the fighting arena and the Dragon Star is yours."
"It's that simple?" Raditz glanced around but didn't see anyone who looked like a real challenge.
"Simple?" The man frowned. "Since the Dragon Star became the prize, no one's won ten matches. Those who tried to steal it directly failed too."
"I see."
"Stop talking—it's about to start. If you don't believe me, go down and try it yourself."
Raditz looked at him intently, doubt stirring in his heart. Zangya also recognized the Dragon Ball but had never seen one like this, leaving her confused too.
At that moment, layers of black curtains in the fighting arena were pulled away, revealing a cast iron gate in the center. The gate was decorated with images of lions fighting, giants roaring, and warriors wielding swords—each one extremely bloody.
The iron door opened, and strange languages, terrifying screams, and angry roars mixed in the turbid air! Weeping and shouting filled the space endlessly!
"Everyone's been waiting long enough—welcome to the Bodo Planet Fighting Arena!" The host standing under brilliant lights, scanning the stands and shouting loudly. "Our first battle today is about to begin! Everyone hurry up and place your bets! Are the challengers ready?"
Well-dressed aliens and scantily clad beauties sat together. Excitement and beauty ignited everyone's enthusiasm as lots of galactic currency and gems entered the prize pool, with everyone shouting and cheering.
Raditz finally saw the words on the electronic screen: "The King of Fighters will receive the Dragon Star that grants all wishes!"
