Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: Nappa's Makeover

After Bulma finished her bold declaration, she put her plan into action.

On the first day, Bulma hired the best stylist and tried using a wig to give Nappa a new hairstyle. She even used some "miracle hair growth serum" to force his hair to grow longer. Unfortunately, purebred Saiyans have fixed hairstyles that don't change once they reach adulthood.

After all that trouble, she actually wanted to shave off his beard too! Nappa refused completely, saying his beard was a sign of his maturity. It wasn't an exaggeration to say he'd rather die than lose his beard—otherwise he'd just become another bald guy without even a tuft of hair on his head.

Finally, Raditz stepped in and shaved it off with one decisive motion.

Nappa: "..."

On the second day, Raditz and Yamcha took all the female members of the Galatic Justice League to the shopping mall. The mission was to pick out suitable clothes for Nappa, with unlimited shopping allowed!

After Frieza's downfall, Raditz had inherited the Frieza Force's wealth. They had two entire warehouses filled with rare gems from across the universe, each warehouse the size of a mountain. They'd sold some of it for a massive fortune. To put it simply, Raditz could easily become the richest person in the universe right now.

"I'm finally getting a taste of what it's like to be rich," Raditz said, watching the girls go on a shopping spree while Yamcha trailed behind them. A crowd of shop assistants and staff watched the spectacle with amazed expressions.

Whether they were from Earth or anywhere else in the universe, their enthusiasm for shopping was exactly the same.

But in the end, it was Nappa who suffered through the ordeal...

The girls held up clothes against him and debated endlessly while he stood there like a stone pillar, just sweating and nodding.

"This tie is too plain for him."

"Oh, Nappa's build isn't right for anything too tight."

"Try this one! With this hat, it's the most fashionable outfit on Mayfair."

"The Phaeda galaxy's style seems different though..."

They couldn't reach an agreement, each thinking their choice was better. They were drowning poor Nappa in suggestions, and it looked like he might actually faint if this kept up. Raditz couldn't take it anymore and stepped in to save him: "We'll buy everything! Everything! We can choose slowly back home."

"Lord Raditz! You're the best!" Everyone cheered and happily packed up all the clothes they'd picked out.

Besides clothes, there were also various trinkets and delicacies—everyone enjoyed the shopping spree. Raditz also bought plenty of gifts for his little brother's family, including something for his student Tarble and even a present for Master Roshi.

On the third day, Yamcha acted as teacher to pass on his skills to Nappa. Unfortunately, Nappa had never learned anything except fighting, let alone something that required this much active thinking. After a full day, Yamcha's voice was hoarse and Nappa still hadn't grasped the basics.

Nappa felt like he'd fallen into some kind of conspiracy, but he couldn't escape because Raditz was part of it too. He thought about appealing to his old boss Vegeta, but Vegeta just gave him a blank stare and said his personal affairs were his own decisions. "Look at me," Vegeta said, "I've never been forced to do anything."

Yeah, well who's going to force you when you're that strong! You're a Super Saiyan—who could make you do anything?

But I'm not! Nappa felt his heart ache.

Actually, he was willing to help Bulma and the others resolve this situation, but their methods were too terrifying for him to handle.

After three days, Nappa had changed slightly, but not enough to satisfy anyone.

Seeing the lack of progress, Raditz simply said, "Let's go see that girl directly!" So he brought Tarble, Yamcha, Krillin and others along to watch the show, and teleported to the Phaeda Galaxy Free Market.

The massive free market connected several high-tech planets, with brilliant lights forming rainbow-like bridges between the jumping platforms.

Nappa wore a crisp casual suit completely different from his usual combat uniform, with a bright flower pinned to his chest. His tall frame filled out the clothes perfectly, making him stand as straight as a pillar. His hair was styled and shiny, and he was wearing light cologne.

"We're not watching you, so don't chicken out. Just tell her how you feel," Raditz said, patting Nappa on the back.

"I..." Nappa turned to leave. "I'm not ready yet. Let's go back to Earth first—I suddenly think Bulma's method might actually work."

It's useless with that thick skull of yours—you'd be better off just being honest about your feelings.

Raditz thought to himself, then reached out and pushed, deliberately adding extra force to shove Nappa forward.

Stumbling, Nappa staggered right up to the girl's shop.

The girl wasn't very old, with soft aqua-blue hair hanging loose over her shoulders. Her eyes sparkled like autumn water, with light dimples when she smiled. Her skin was as white and smooth as cream, making her look petite and adorable.

What a life—Nappa actually liked this type.

The girl obviously recognized Nappa and greeted him warmly. "Hi, Nappa! I didn't expect to see you again."

"I, I, I... I'm here again."

Nappa struggled for a long time and only managed that one sentence. If Yamcha had been beside him, he definitely would have said that was complete nonsense—what kind of opening line was that?

"Are you here to see me?" the girl asked with a sweet smile. Looking at his stammering appearance, she found him quite interesting. "Want to sit for a while?"

"Yes, yes, I..." Nappa was nervous, always feeling uncomfortable being watched.

Although Nappa wasn't great at conversation and usually only managed short answers, the girl was quite proactive.

Raditz and the others watching from a distance all thought things were going well.

However, before long, a group of uninvited guests suddenly arrived, landing from the sky! The spaceship swooped down rapidly toward the ground, taking up the wide road and parking right in the middle.

The swirling airflow disturbed the surrounding customers and shops, but the newcomers didn't seem to care. They kept their engines running as if showing off their power.

"Who's that?"

"Look at the insignia—looks like Galactic Patrolman members. Is this another patrol?"

"Didn't they catch a bunch of criminals last time?"

Everyone speculated, whispering in small groups.

The free trade market in the Phaeda galaxy had been developing better and better since the Galactic Justice League took over. All kinds of villains didn't dare cause trouble here. Occasionally some troublemakers would show up, but they'd be chased away by the elite alliance members stationed there.

The Galactic Patrolman had also become regular visitors.

Several people in combat uniforms stepped out of the spaceship, along with an armed Galactic Patrolman. Most of those in combat uniforms were alliance members, but their rank was too low for Raditz to recognize them all.

They looked around with arrogant expressions.

"The environment here really is nice," Galactic Patrolman Philip couldn't help but comment. "No wonder Mr. Root thinks the Phaeda galaxy is such a great place."

Root stroked his long green hair and smiled wickedly. "Heh, it really is good—and there are beautiful women too." He glanced down at Nappa. "Hey, why is there some big stupid oaf next to Ariel? How disappointing."

"Then let's get rid of him. The Galactic Justice League calls the shots now anyway."

Several of them laughed and followed Root.
