The moonlight was hazy, and the thick mist deepened the night's darkness. Bathed in the fog-laden night, the small town appeared extraordinarily tranquil, with only the occasional bark of a dog breaking the stillness.
In one of the town's rooms, Utakata suddenly woke up with a start. Since leaving Kirigakure, he had known the village wouldn't let him go so easily. Tonight was clearly not a peaceful night; a sense of unease surged within him, making him realize he might have been targeted!
"Kirigakure's people, huh?"
Utakata scoffed silently to himself, then stood up quietly, preparing to leave.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet!"
Through the mist, a massive water dragon roared toward him. Seeing the enormous water dragon, Utakata snorted coldly.
"Water Release: Water Formation Wall."
In an instant, his technique was completed, and a towering water wall swiftly blocked the incoming dragon. In the water-rich environment of the Land of Water, every Water Release ninja found themselves at home.
However, Utakata's expression darkened—he had seen his attackers.
"Kisame Hoshigaki? Zabuza Momochi? Raiga Kurosuki?"
"Yo, long time no see."
Kisame grinned, his shark-like face looking particularly grotesque under the moonlight.
"I wasn't exactly hoping to see you lot..."
Utakata knew the situation didn't look good, but before he could finish speaking, another whooshing sound echoed.
Four figures appeared, their cold smiles directed at Utakata.
"Tsk tsk, so this is the Six-Tails Jinchūriki? I think Lord Orochimaru will be pleased with you."
"Oh, Orochimaru's people, huh?"
Kisame and the other two exchanged glances—though unexpected, they were allies.
"The situation doesn't look good; Utakata's in big trouble."
In another corner of the town, Ao was using his Byakugan to scout the scene ahead.
"The enemies are strong, and Utakata is surrounded."
"That bad?"
Mei Terumī frowned, thinking for a moment before speaking.
"Prepare yourselves; we're moving out. Utakata absolutely—"
"Watch out!"
Before she could finish, Ao's expression changed abruptly. As he spoke, the ground suddenly churned, and countless sharp bone spikes erupted, piercing toward the group.
Thanks to Ao's warning, they all leapt onto the rooftops just in time, barely avoiding the silent attack.
"Bone spikes? Could it be..."
Seeing the eerie white bones protruding from the ground, they were struck by a foreboding realization.
"The Kaguya clan?"
There was no time to dwell on it; countless bone spikes erupted again, larger and sharper than before. In an instant, the spikes destroyed buildings and covered the streets in a horrifying display of white bones.
"Move!"
Kisame's group naturally noticed the commotion, and without hesitation, chakra surged from them, a powerful force seemingly dispersing the thick mist.
The entire town plunged into chaos as battles erupted everywhere.
Meanwhile, in a nearby forest, a lone figure clutched his head, his face twisted in pain and anguish.
"Kill them all... kill them all..."
His face was filled with cruelty, and his heart burned with murderous intent. His memories were muddled, but he vaguely recalled being captured with other children, then subjected to some kind of power infusion.
Only those who could withstand the power survived, and he was the sole survivor—but he was deemed a failure and subsequently sealed away.
This power had been tormenting him ever since, as if it wanted to crush his body and bones, as if he were being thrown into a furnace to be endlessly scorched.
He had long wished for death, but the energy within him refused to let him die, reviving him repeatedly.
Under such pain and torment, he had reached his breaking point. His heart burned with rage, and he wanted nothing more than to destroy everything!
Slowly lifting his head to gaze ahead, his twisted, anguished face revealed a cruel smile.
"Let's start here!"
Buzz—
The chakra within him erupted violently, and the diamond-shaped mark on his hand fully activated. The ferocious chakra surged through the town, and his appearance began to change dramatically.
"Ah!"
With a roar, he charged forward.
"Hmm?"
Kitagawa Minamoto, still traveling, suddenly sensed something. His expression shifted slightly.
"That guy has made his move?"
At that moment, they had already used Flying Thunder God to reach the Land of Waves. Once they crossed the strait, they would enter the Land of Water.
Though the distance was considerable, Minamoto instantly detected the chakra belonging to "Ōtsutsuki Isshiki." This piqued his curiosity—what exactly was happening in the Land of Water? Especially since...
"Mei Terumī seems to have used the kunai I gave her. Looks like the situation isn't good."
The Land of Water was truly a gathering of heroes: Obito Uchiha had headed there, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's "White Kāma" had emerged, and the Akatsuki were likely up to something. Add to that Ōtsutsuki Urashiki's arrival...
"Three Ōtsutsuki plus a 'White Kāma'—quite the lineup."
Even though one was half-dead, another was likely mentally unstable, and the "White Kāma" was incomplete, Urashiki was still a bona fide Ōtsutsuki!
Minamoto wasn't afraid of Urashiki—he even knew his weaknesses. But if a fight broke out, the level of destruction would be hard to predict.
Moreover, he was worried about someone else "stealing the peach"—he was very interested in the "White Kāma."
"What's on your mind, Minamoto?"
Tobirama Senju noticed Minamoto's distraction and asked curiously.
"Still thinking about what I said earlier? I'm not sure either; it just feels likely, and I..."
"Save that explanation for the Sage of Six Paths later."
Minamoto tilted his head, glancing at the Second Hokage before speaking.
"The situation in the Land of Water seems off, and Mei Terumī has summoned me using Flying Thunder God. I think I need to hurry."
"The Fifth Mizukage?"
Hashirama Senju raised an eyebrow, his expression turning serious.
"Can you teleport there directly?"
"I can; she's provided coordinates now."
Minamoto didn't waste words, speaking directly.
"But I plan to go ahead first; you can follow later."
"You're worried about..."
Hashirama seemed to realize something, while Tobirama didn't hold back.
"Ōtsutsuki Minamoto-shiki? You're worried about him?"
"...Exactly."
Minamoto paused before responding.
"The Akatsuki's actions will likely encounter him. If I go now, fighting might yield unexpected results. Besides..."
"Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation, right? We understand."
Hashirama and Tobirama understood Minamoto's reasoning, sighing deeply. Though unafraid of death, they had no defense against Yin-Yang Release. Minamoto going ahead could scout the situation, even draw fire, while they attempted a surprise attack.
"Be careful."
Tobirama handed his Flying Thunder God kunai to Minamoto, his expression grim.
"And if things get really bad, I suggest you leave, even if Kirigakure is an ally."
"Don't worry; I know what I'm doing."
Minamoto pocketed the kunai, then smiled.
"Besides, you should be careful too; such material isn't easy to come by."
As he finished speaking, Minamoto's chakra surged, and he disappeared from sight.
"Yin-Yang Release... truly troublesome."
Watching Minamoto vanish, Tobirama felt a bit irked, turning to his elder brother with a serious expression.
"Your body possesses both powers, doesn't it? Can you replicate it?"
"In a death state, it's unlikely."
Hashirama sighed, then smiled bitterly.
"Who would've thought being a burden would feel like this? We actually need a child to draw fire for us."
"Sigh..."
Tobirama echoed the sentiment, but Hashirama continued speaking.
"Perhaps you're right..."
"Only through the Sage of Six Paths' harsh trials did we get someone like Minamoto, capable of facing Ōtsutsuki head-on."
"How interesting..."
Above the small town in the Land of Water, Ōtsutsuki Urashiki observed everything below with great interest. So many strange and abstract creatures, using their powers—such sights were rare on other planets!
"It seems the thing that drew me here was that blank 'Kāma.'"
Urashiki, carrying his fishing rod, smirked mischievously.
"Could it be that Isshiki's reincarnation failed?"
The "White Kāma" lacked Isshiki's soul, containing only his power. Even his spirit seemed muddled, making it hard not to suspect this outcome.
"But it doesn't matter; there are plenty of treasures here."
Urashiki stretched lazily, loosening up his body. Though the scene below was intriguing, to him, it was merely a group of ants wielding borrowed power, biting at each other.
Ants fighting was amusing, and their combat techniques piqued his interest slightly. But the fundamental gap was too vast—watching too long would grow dull. Recovering those powers was far more important!
"Besides, this world has scattered Ten-Tails chakra, and plenty of things worth investigating. Tsk tsk, maybe I can even get a chakra fruit."
Urashiki's gaze sharpened, his chakra subtly fluctuating. However, just as he was about to act, he sensed something and turned abruptly.
A strange spatial distortion appeared behind him, followed by a sudden spatial gate.
"Yomotsu Hirasaka?"
Urashiki immediately recognized the technique, being quite adept at it himself.
In the next moment, a figure in white robes emerged from the gate.
As the figure appeared, the mist enveloping the Land of Water seemed to dissipate. Silver moonlight shone upon him, but his face remained obscured.
Only his star-like, glowing blue eyes, radiating brilliance, focused intently on Urashiki.
Even Urashiki felt a hint of pressure upon seeing this figure. After a moment, he finally smiled.
"Oh, I didn't expect to encounter a fellow clansman on this planet."
"I'm Ōtsutsuki Urashiki. May I know your name?"
