"What exactly is that thing?"
Might Guy stared into the distance, utterly baffled by the situation. However, Kakashi furrowed his brows and replied,
"I don't know either. I've told you before—my memories are sealed, probably by my teacher. So whatever it is, it must be something extraordinary."
Indeed, Kakashi couldn't recall much. Minato Namikaze's Sealing Techniques were no joke.
"How about I go take a look?"
Kitagawa Minamoto's eyes gleamed as he proposed this, but both Kakashi and Guy immediately refused.
"No way. Even with the Flying Thunder God Technique, it'd be tough to handle that kind of Chakra. Didn't you feel the explosion earlier?"
That was me.
No, wait. It's all Orochimaru's fault!
"Don't worry, Kakashi-sensei, Guy-sensei."
Kitagawa Minamoto stood up, shaking his head with a smile.
"I know what that energy is. It's Natural Energy, or rather, Senjutsu Chakra. While it may be terrifying, it won't affect me."
Minamoto wasn't joking. With the eruption of the Dragon Vein's energy, he had already discerned its essence.
"Are you sure it's safe?"
Kakashi still looked concerned, and Guy shared his apprehension. But Minamoto remained calm.
"Relax. The explosion earlier was likely caused by an accumulation of energy that had no proper outlet.
But now? Look—things have stabilized quite a bit."
As he spoke, Minamoto turned to glance at the scene.
In the distance, the Dragon Vein's Chakra surged wildly, whipping up sand and debris like a natural disaster.
"..."
Kakashi and Guy stared at Minamoto in silence, their expressions filled with disbelief. This left him feeling somewhat awkward.
"Trust me, it's much better than before. I wouldn't risk my life recklessly."
"Alright, go on then. It's not like you'd listen to us anyway."
Kakashi sighed, knowing Minamoto's personality too well. If he had no plans, he'd stay put. But once he had an idea, he'd act on it without hesitation. There was no stopping him.
"Be careful. Seriously, be careful. Got it?"
"Don't worry. If anything happens, I'll retreat immediately."
With a smile, Minamoto vanished in an instant, using the Flying Thunder God Technique to leave the area.
"You really trust him, huh?"
Watching Minamoto disappear, Guy couldn't help but ask. Kakashi, meanwhile, plopped down onto the ground.
"He should be fine. Besides, we need to rest. Those two guys weren't exactly easy to deal with..."
Kakashi was utterly exhausted. Using Kamui: Shuriken had drained him significantly.
Still, he had proven its value and could now plan to use it more effectively in the future.
At the heart of the battlefield, Kitagawa Minamoto's figure appeared silently.
Looking at the devastation around him, he felt a mix of awe and elation.
"The Tenseigan's power is no joke."
"But I'd prefer if my own eyes could wield such strength."
Though he was satisfied with his current eyes—especially since they had allowed him to stand his ground against someone as formidable as Orochimaru—he couldn't help but yearn for more.
After all, this wasn't the weakened Orochimaru Sasuke had faced, whose body was falling apart and in desperate need of a replacement.
This was an Orochimaru who had survived countless battles and had no apparent weaknesses, save for his limited intel on Genjutsu.
Yet compared to the giant Tenseigan, Minamoto felt his own abilities were still lacking.
As he glanced at the massive chunks of serpent flesh scattered across the ground, he surmised that it was likely Manda who had been blown apart.
"I still need to get stronger."
In a flash, he moved closer to the tower, where the Dragon Vein's Chakra roiled endlessly. His eyes faintly transformed into the Tenseigan as he began to study the energy.
He needed to understand how to manage and utilize this power.
The next morning, the scorching sun bathed the desert sands in light.
Near the ruins of Roran, the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, stood with a grim expression as he faced Kakashi and the others.
Nearby, Chiyo lay on a stretcher, her body half-destroyed, being carried away by Ebizō.
The massive explosion had occurred within the Land of Wind, and Rasa couldn't ignore it.
He suspected that those damned individuals had done something, especially since the explosion had originated in the south, near the Dragon Vein.
However, he had been unable to act immediately. Something had triggered Gaara during the night, causing him to go berserk, with Shukaku stirring restlessly within him.
With Chiyo absent, Rasa had been forced to watch over Gaara himself. Only after the situation calmed down in the latter half of the night was he able to set out.
"Was it that mysterious organization behind all this?"
"Yes, Kazekage-sama. That seems to be the case."
Kakashi, still visibly fatigued, replied earnestly.
"Their target appears to have been something hidden within Roran. Last night's explosion was directly related to that object."
"I see."
Rasa nodded in understanding, though his expression darkened.
Having something from his own village targeted by outsiders was infuriating, especially since it was something he had always coveted.
"Thank you for your efforts. Without you, this could have been catastrophic. Those people are truly reckless!"
"There's no need to thank us. We were simply fulfilling our mission."
Kakashi responded modestly, though he was well aware of how reckless those individuals were.
"By the way, is everything in Roran alright? And what about Chiyo-sama?"
"The majority of Roran's inhabitants have evacuated. The remaining ones took shelter underground last night, so they're safe. As for Chiyo..."
Rasa glanced at Ebizō in the distance, who nodded in confirmation before Rasa continued.
"Chiyo is fine. Scorpion isn't someone ordinary people can handle, and she's no exception. But I'm curious—how did you deal with the Dragon Vein?"
For Rasa, the Dragon Vein was the most critical aspect.
Seeing the collapsed ruins of Roran only fueled his desire to gain control over it.
"It's better if I explain."
Kitagawa Minamoto stepped forward energetically.
"Kazekage-sama, there's no need to worry. While the Dragon Vein's seal has loosened, the situation isn't as dire as it seems."
"Really?"
Rasa's face remained composed, though his heart skipped a beat.
"Yes."
Minamoto's face lit up with a smile, as if he were genuinely pleased.
"The Fourth Hokage left behind the Flying Thunder God Technique in the area. Coincidentally, I also know the technique.
I simply rearranged the marks left by the Fourth Hokage to stabilize the Dragon Vein's Chakra temporarily."
"..."
"Of course, this was also made easier by the Dragon Vein's Chakra having partially dissipated. Otherwise, resealing it would have been much more difficult."
"..."
"But rest assured, the remaining energy won't leak out. Just like when the Fourth Hokage sealed it, the Land of Wind won't have any more problems!"
"...Thank you very much."
Rasa barely managed to squeeze out his gratitude, though his voice was tinged with frustration.
If he could, he'd strangle this brat on the spot. He desperately wanted to ask:
Is Konohagakure doing this on purpose?!
