Chapter 1
Violet stood over a cliff and saw the damage that Athoris had done over night. She knew the legends, of the prophesied Outworlders, heroes with celestial powers that would save the realm. She knew she had to be one, for she wielded the magic of the shadows. She had to find light, ice, fire and nature. Violet searched everywhere in her area, then stumbled across a handmade hut of logs that wasn't there before. She practically kicked the door down to reveal a wingless demon draped in white, black and gold, his emerald eyes staring in shock, with a ball of light magic in his palm. "Who are you?' Violet demanded. "Um, who are YOU? You just broke into my home!" The demon argued. "Well I asked first, so tell me who you are and maybe I'll tell you why I'm here." Violet negotiated. The demon groaned before shyly saying, "I'm Lucian.." Violet softened and said, "The name's Violet, and I need you to join me on my mission." He tilted his head in confusion. She continued to explain, "There's a legend of the celestial Outworlders, they must save the world of Zethryxis from corruption, and since you wield magic, you are the Outworlder of Light, I'm the Shadow Outworlder. And the ancient evil Athoris was summoned last night and is at the heart of the Dark Forest, the Outworlders must come together and defeat Athoris before Zethryxis falls." Lucian's eyes widened as he learned what he was, and what role he needed to play, it made him think, "Maybe being banished from the Heavens wasn't going to be too bad.." Lucian took Violet's hand and declared proudly, "I'll help you.." She smirked at him, saying, "Now we just need ice, fire and nature." Violet and Lucian found a cave that was being crystallized into ice slowly, it moved an inch each hour. In the middle was a human sized fairy who's fingers had a slight blue tint to them. "Good morning.." Violet said. The fairy jumped to his feet immediately. "What are you doing here?!" He demanded. "We need your help.." Lucian joined in. With that, Violet explained the legend of the Outworlders to him, who's name they learned was Elvion. "No, no can do, I am NOT using my powers ever again!" Elvion protested. "We're not exactly asking.." Violet said sadly. "I shouldn't use my powers again.. not after my curse.." He thought to himself, he wasn't trying to be stubborn, he was afraid. "You won't have to use your powers unless if you need to end up protecting yourself.." Lucian promised. Elvion hesitated as he sighed, reluctantly agreeing. "In fact, I actually know an Outworlder, her name is Calysta, and she has fire magic!" He told them. Violet and Lucian glanced at each other and ran excitedly, Elvion trying to follow, "Hey! Y'all are gonna need me to get to her, wait up!" He yelled. With the help of Elvion, Violet was able to get to Calysta, who was delighted to join. "All we need now is the Nature Outworlder.." Lucian mumbled. "What's an Outworlder?" A young male voice asked. The 4 turned to see a teenage elf. "What's your name little dude?" Calysta asked. "Sage.. And please, don't call me a boy, I'm non-binary." They told her. "Oh, my bad." Calysta apologized. "It's fine.." Sage assured, "Sorry, I'm not used to talking to anyone besides my family, so I'm a little shy." Violet asked, "Hey, where is your family?" Sage stiffened before answering, stammering, "They're.. T-They're gone.. They are d-dead.." Violet was about to say something when she noticed vines wrapping around Sage's feet. "Are you.. doing that?" Lucian asked, pointing at the plants. Sage looked down and yelped in surprise, "Oh um.. Y-Yeah, sorry that happens sometimes, I try to stop it but.. it just starts involuntarily." They stutter. "So you have magic??" Elvion asked. Sage nodded. "So you're the Nature Outworlder!" Violet exclaimed. "I still don't know what that is.." They said. "Long story short: You're basically one of the only 5 in the realm to have powers and according to the legends, you and the other Outworlders are destined to save Zethryxis." Lucian summarized. "Did I do alright?" Lucian whispered to Violet. "Yeah. No that was pretty accurate.." She whispered back. "So what do you say? You wanna help us defeat Athoris?" Violet asked. Sage was unsure at first, considering of their new fear of dark magic, but in the end, they agreed to join them. "Now, the adventure begins." Violet declared. TO BE CONTINUED..
