Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 — The Clone Awakens

In a dark underground facility buried beneath the ruins of Jaku General Hospital, the sterile hum of machinery filled the air. Rows of vats lined the lab, each one holding a failed prototype, floating silently in a murky solution. All except one.

Chamber #37, marked with red sigils and reinforced alloy glass, glowed faintly. Inside, a body hung suspended—humanoid, yet unmistakably engineered. His form was lean and powerful, far too perfect for a natural human. His skin was pale but unblemished, threaded with glowing blue lines that pulsed like circuitry under flesh.

Dr. Kyudai Garaki typed rapidly at a console, a grin splitting his face wide beneath his respirator. "Subject: Masato. Sequence 13-Beta is stable. Quirk implantation... successful."

He tapped a command.

The lights dimmed, and the tank hissed open. The fluid drained.

Masato's body dropped to his knees, coughing violently, before slamming his hands on the steel floor. Steam rose from his back as his muscles twitched and restructured—MyoMorph coming online.

His eyes opened. Bright white irises with golden concentric rings glowed in the gloom.

Garaki stepped forward, practically trembling with excitement. "How do you feel, Masato?"

Masato blinked. "...Cold. Hungry. But... I can move." He stood, his steps careful at first. Then faster. A sprint. A sudden burst of momentum propelled him off the ground, slamming him into the opposite wall before he twisted and rebounded mid-air, landing perfectly.

"I feel... limitless."

Garaki clapped with glee. "Yes, yes! The Kinetic Circuit is working in tandem with Kinetic Rebound! The synergy is already stabilizing! My masterpiece... my child..."

Masato stared at his own hands. "I can feel energy in motion. Every footstep. Every shift in the air."

His fingers curled into a fist, which suddenly ignited with solar plasma, crackling with intense heat. The walls began to warp.

Garaki quickly shut down the lights, cutting off sunlight exposure.

Masato staggered, the flames extinguishing.

"Too strong," he muttered.

"You will learn to control it in time," Garaki said, helping him stand. "You are the sum of Quirks handpicked from decades of research. And you will become the end of Pro Heroes as we know them."

Masato looked up. "...What am I supposed to be?"

Garaki smiled. "A god."
