We three spent that night laying on the forest floor. Sounds of bugs ,night owl and creature unknown. My eyes keep drifting around us hyperaware of any danger . I wish I had seen those survival shows. A while later I hear souds of quite snores. At least some of us are relaxed enough to sleep. It's been two sleepless nights for me . Two days of constant running but we can't keep running they will eventually catch us. She did told me only he can help us. I don't have anyway out of this. I will have to face the man who broke my heart. I will have to face the father of these kids.
From the address she told me I new we had to cross the highway to reach him but after we were found by them hitch hiking our way through the road by those men . We had to take the route of the forest. It is shortcut but it wasn't my first choice. With the first ray of sunlight through the dence forest we started walking. It took us whole day and finally we found the location we were searching for.
A grand palace in the seculeded area far from civilization. It so big we were tired by the time we reached the gate . I could kids were amazed by it too . They haven't said a word to me in the span of all this time . Never complained never cried of hunger, exhaustion or fear . I should be proud of them but this not how kids should be. I am afraid the the burden of past few days will haunt them for the rest of their lives . I have not known these kids for long hell I have never met them before few days ago so I don't know how they were but I know they way they are behaving is definitely not normal they are trying to be strong . I wish I could tell them they don't need to be but it would be a lie and the least I could give these kids is truth. So when they gazed at the huge house with a little flicker of light I felt relieved that they will be happy here with their father. And I won't have to be worried about them not that I have any right to be but I feel a sense of responsibility for their well being.
When we approached the gates I could see two guards talking fast on radiophone. We stood their for a few moment I don't know how to approach this. I have only been directed to reach here she did not tell me anything about big house, guard and security. I mean i predicated a little security what's with him founding a very successful private security company and all. But still I this intimidates me a little.
