It's been a few weeks since my second marriage and now everything seems to be going slowly.
A few days ago I held a birthday party for the moon. It was going great until a noble from one of my territories came up to me and asked for an arranged marriage. At first I thought he was talking about me and his daughter but then he mentioned moon and his son. I almost lost it right there but held my composure.
What almost turned the party into a bloodbath was when I asked to meet his son and a man who looked my age appeared, I lost it. I punched both of them through the castle walls expecting them to die.
The other kids who had come to the party ran out screaming. I only came back to my senses when I saw moon crying about her ruined party. Needless to say after that she avoided me for a few days.
Though after that I called a meeting and made new laws.
1st: Arranged marriage is Prohibited. Those caught doing this will be punished severely.
2nd: abortion shall be prohibited unless the woman was raped. I will not have innocent souls be snuffed out because of an adult's inability to be responsible.
3rd: Those who raped will have their privates removed. If the victim is a child, you will be tied to a stake where each day a new form of torture will take place.
These laws were quickly passed. When I heard opposition about the first one I almost killed the nobles who spoke. As for the two nobles who asked for the arranged marriage, I spared them since they were practically unable to do anything anymore.
Currently I just finished writing a document. It was a very important document that Moon had to sign. I stood as I headed towards the garden where moon and Merida usually meet at this time.
Upon reaching the garden I smiled. The two were playing on the grass, Merida tickling moon as she laughed.
"Haha, stop it mommy," Moon begged as she laughed.
But when moon signs this document I will be even more happy. When they saw me they stopped there playing and walked towards me. Moon grabbed onto my leg as Merida gave me a small kiss.
"Is your work done already" she asked
I nodded. "Though I may act like a fool sometimes my intelligence is beyond comprehension" I said as I did a pose.
She covered her mouth and snickered at my antics.
"So what do you need?" She asked.
"Can't a man come to the garden and enjoy some time with his wife and his child?" I said offended.
"Well, usually when you want to spend time with your family you just start playing instead of talking." She said.
"Cough, well you caught me. I have something important to talk about with moon" I said, making a serious face.
"Oh what could it be?" she laughed.
"Cough, it's a secret," I said.
She went silent and just kept staring at me. Moon was confused as she just stared at us.
"I-I can't tell you" I stuttered.
She didn't answer as she stayed quiet. I gulped as I looked away.
"Uh, I really can't. It's about her protection." I muttered.
After a few moments more of silence I finally gave in and took out the document. I covered the top and showed it to her and pointed my finger at a specific text.
"Look right here. It says if moon signs this she gets an unlimited supply of special brewed honey." I said.
"I can see that. Just remove the rest of your hand so I can read it all." She said.
"There's no need, the only important part is this" I tried to say but let go when she gave me the death stare.
I gulped as I scratched my head. I thought she would read it quietly but she started reading out loud.
"I moon, daughter of Erik Horrendous haddock hereby declare that I will not wed anybody and stay with my father forever. I will never get a boyfriend and let another boy hold my hand unless they are family.-"
Each word she spoke sent a chill down my spine. The maids listened in shock at what they were hearing. They had gotten used to my antics but this was a new level. They looked entertained though as they watched humiliation.
Each word she read the more cold she became.
"Ps if you sign this you will get an unlimited supply of special brew honey for life" she finally stopped after reading the last sentence.
After she finished she looked at me smiling. I gulped but couldn't help but feel like I forgot something when I heard Merida speak the last sentence.
She grabbed me by my ear as she dragged me towards a table in the garden. Moon followed mostly confused on what was happening.
In the end she lectured me for an hour or two. As I sat there moon laughing at me I got angry and blurted out.
"You're not getting any more honey for a month," I said.
When she heard this she paused. I thought she would be upset or sad but she just looked confused.
"Daddy, what are you talking about? I can make my own" she said.
Now it was my time to be confused.
"What are you talking about, I never taught you how to make it." I said.
She then smirked and snapped her fingers as a stack of honey jars appeared. They weren't the normal ones but the ones I made.
Realization hit me like a brick as I finally remembered. Moon had made a wish to be able to create and produce any food she had eaten before.
Fuck, I had completely forgotten about that wish. I have to find a different way to bribe her now. A vein throbbed on my head when she started laughing.
"Haha, bow down before the great power of princess moon" she said standing on the table her chin held high.
Though it didn't last long since Merida was there.
"Cough cough, daddy if you want I won't marry anyone. I love daddy the most" she said with a smile.
I then kissed her and kissed her on the cheek. Rubbing our cheeks together.
"That's why you're my favorite," I said.
"Haha, daddy stop" she begged as she laughed.
Soon everything calmed as we sat down just drinking tea.
"So what are you planning to do right now?" Merida asked.
"I'm just preparing for a few things. Just a day ago Elsa became pregnant. She'll give birth within a few days" I explained.
"Have you thought of names already?" she asked.
"Of course, who do you think I am?" I said I was offended.
I then pulled out a long document. She took a peek and snickered.
"It seems, there aren't a lot of boy names on there." She deadpanned.
I coughed embarrassed.
"I guess you're right. By the way where is Igneel" I asked.
She sighed. "He's probably causing trouble again," she replied.
I sighed hearing this. I had bestowed him with multiple skills hoping he would train them. And he in fact did but for some reason he maxed them all out except for versatile arsenal and now he just plays and doesn't take his studies seriously.
Maybe I should discipline him. No, Merida wouldn't approve of what I would do. I stood up.
"I'll go speak with him," I said.
Merida looked at me.
I coughed "don't worry I won't use force" I explained.
She sighed and nodded. I gave them a kiss before leaving. After leaving the garden I used my enhanced sense to find where he was. Sensing him in the dragon's den I teleported there and saw him reading the dragon.
As soon as he sensed me he tried to run but I grabbed him.
"Where do you think you're going?" I asked.
"I'm just going back to study," he explained.
"Who are you trying to fool?" I asked.
He smiled awkwardly.
I dropped him and spoke.
"Igneel…." I said.
Hearing my stern voice he quieted down and listened.
"You are my heir. The next in line to the throne" I said. "Right now is the most important part of your life. You must use it carefully, for your future and the future of millions depend on it." I continued.
He grit his teeth.
"You always talk about how I'm your heir and that I have a duty but what if I don't want to be king" he said.
I paused and looked at him.
"I understand, but remember neither did I. It was my duty and obligation." I said.
"Then what about Moon?" he asked.
I deadpanned. "Do you really want to put the lives of millions on her hands" I said as I looked at him,
He sighed. "I guess not," he replied.
"Well you still have a chance. If your future siblings are as capable as you then I'll make them heir if you still don't want to be king by then" I said.
"Sigh, I guess that's okay" he muttered.
"Now go to the royal garden. Your mother is waiting for you" I ordered.
He nodded as he left. I decided to teleport to Elsa.
Seeing me she smiled.
"Erik, what brings you here." She asked.
"I can't visit my pregnant wife," he said, offended.
She shook her head in exasperation. "I'm pretty sure you had paperwork that would take you at least a day or two to finish." She added.
I smiled and slicked my hair back with one hand as I posed.
"Did you forget who your husband is?" I said with arrogance.
She covered her mouth and laughed.
I smirked and kissed her on the cheek. I spent the rest of the evening with her. After that I headed towards the throne room for the daily meeting. Since this was a time of peace everyone was always here.
I sat down. "Report" I commanded.
Viggo walked forward. "My lord, Neverland has been progressing finely. As of now there are over tens of thousands of abandoned children there." He explained.
I nodded "And is the playground for the children finished?" I asked.
He shook his head. "No my lord, currently it is 90 percent finished. It will take another week to complete" he replied.
"I see, and what about Peter Pan. Has he adjusted well" I asked.
He smiled. "Yes he seemed to have let go of his hatred after some experiences I showed him." He answered.
"Good, what else is there?" I asked.
Alvin walked forward.
"I was surveying the seas when I noticed something in the water," he said.
"Was it a dragon?"I asked.
He shook his head. "No it was definitely not a dragon. It had a fish tail but a human upper body." He explained.
My eyes widened. "A mermaid," I said.
He nodded. "What should we do?" he asked.
I paused. "Nothing, do not cause any problems. There is no need to start unnecessary wars with creatures we have no enmity with." I ordered.
He nodded and took a step back.
"Is there anything else?" I asked.
Seeing that there were no more things to report I decided to start some preparations.
"Since none of you have anything to say. I need something done." I said.
They listened.
"Since the school is finished next, I want to create a military school. In this school all are required to go unless they have a disease or illness." I said.
They nodded. "The students must attend for at least two years and they will undergo training and experience real life lessons to improve mental fortitude. I want the people to at least be able to defend themselves if something were to happen." I added.
Alvin stepped in. "Why not longer?" he asked.
I shook my head. "Though I do want soldiers, this school is mainly to spark some interest in the younger generation. And besides at the end of the day, those that don't join the army will at least be capable of self protection" I added.
They nodded.
