Chapter 15 - Ch:15 Holy shiiiit!

After they left and Akira told the earthbenders that they are welcome to join the rebellion on Asokoh island they left and the whole story with the mad panda spirit about the destroyed forest was also solved quickly even if everyone freaked out when Sokka was kidnapped to the spirit world.

During this time Akira was really bored as he already knew what happened.

After Aang saved the day Sokka and all the missing villagers reappeared and they hurried to go to the temple of Avatar Roku on time.

So Aang was urging Appa to go as fast as he could.

"Aang we have a problem" Katara said pointing at Zuko's ship.

"Yeah and it's catching up!" Sokka said and knowing what will happen now Akira just tied himself to the saddle with a rope to not fall off and enjoy the rollercoaster.

"We made it" Aang said after they avoided a rain of burning boulders thrown at them.

"We are in fire nation territory" Sokka said as if spelling his own doom.

Akira looked back and thought about killing Zhao with his sniper right then and there but he could do it later anyways.

After a few more hoirs of flight they reached the crescent island of Avatar Roku.

Appa was groaning in exhaustion and lied down on his side.

"You did awesome buddy" Aang said patting Appas belly.

"Alright, let's go" Akira said and they moved forward.

Everything then followed the plot again with the fire sages confronting them and chasing them.

They then followed Shi yu after he expressed his wish to help and brought them to the closed doors of Rokus statue.

Akira pushed them back and cracked his neck.

He then raised his hand and shot out five consistent streams of fire.

The door clicked and opened revealing the statue of Avatar Roku.

Seeing the statue Akira felt a strange pull that got stronger with each passing second and no matter how hard he tried he couldn't keep his eyes off the statue.

His eyes became red and his body began to become transparent.

"Aang something is wrong with Akira!" Sokka shouted before Akira went up in flames and dissapeared.

The world around Akira shifted and he felt a weird pressure on him that wasn't there before.

He looked around and found himself standing on top of a giant rock in the vast ocean.

Before him a giant island rose out of the water and he honestly freaked out.

'What the fuck is happening? Why the fuck an I in the ocean? Where are my new innocent friends?' he thought and if that wasn't enough to melt his brain guess how confused he was as the Island in front of him turned out to be a lion turtle gazing at him with it's ember eyes.

Akira just stared at the lion turtle "Ähm hello?" he just said after collecting himself "Could you tell me where I am and how I got here? I have no Idea about either"

"You are in the spirit world and I have aummoned you here to meet you" the lion turtle said making him really nervous.

"Why do you want to meet me?" Akira asked.

"It has been long since a human understood the true essence of fire. Not destruction and madness but life and energy" the lion turtle said slowly "I am curious if you can master more"

The lion turtle then reached out and pointed his scaly finger at his head and chest that lit up with a blue light.

Then he was swallowed by the ocean and reappeared in the temple with a wave of water.

Coughing he got up and felt...weird. His chi pathways felt hot and cold at the same time and he felt power cursing through him and a weird connection to...water?

He looked at the puddle and raised his hand.

A small ball of water floated up a metre in the air before immediately collapsing to the ground.

Akira grinned madly 'holy shit is this for real? That lion turtle gave me waterbending?'

Oh he could kiss that lion turtle right now. Sure he is already very powerful with fire but water is so much more versatile compared to fire especially if you don't want to hurt someone.

Akira looked around and saw the whole palace get destroyed by lava.

"Aaaaahhhh" Aang, Katara and Sokka screamed as they fled the collapsing temple and jumped on the back of Appa.

"Hey wait for me" Akira shouted and leaped out of the window landing on the back of Appa.

"Where did you go and...what happened to your hair?" Sokka asked and Akira looked at his hair which was now snow white.

"A lion turtle summoned me and gave me waterbending" Akira said shocking everyone.

"What how can you get waterbending?" Aang asked "I thought only the Avatar can wield more than one element"

"I also don't know how...I thought that too" Akira said and levitated a small ball of water that was on Appas back with immense concentration before it collapsed.

Then Sokka smiled at him "Say buddy you couldn't visit this lion turtle again and ask if it would be possible to give your good friend Sokka a bit of this waterbending too?"

Akira just rolled his eyes "they ate ancient sporits Sokka even now I barely understand what is going on" he said.

Sokka just crossed his arms pouting.

"Woah, a lion turtle. They are thought to have dissapeared" Aang said in awe and then bombarded him with questions "how did it look? How big was it? Tell me everything"

Akira then told them the whole story and they just looked at him.

"Cool, now I am the only one who can't bend water here" Sokka said sarcastically and continued his pouting.

"Alright, let's hurry to the northpole I really want to master this new waterbending ability" Akira said "Katara can you teach me till we get there?"

"Of course I can" Katara said with a faint blush.

Yeah, if he was handsome before now he was even more unique with his white hair that somehow fit perfectly to his pale blue eyes.

"Thanks you are awesome guys!" Akira said as the island dissapeared in the distance.

After this they landed at a lake with a small waterfall, ideal for Aang, Katara and Akira to practice their waterbending.

Akira meditated while they set up their camp trying to further understand the element water.

Different than fire he understood that water was about flow and flexibility, fundamentally different from the direct and raw approach of fire bending.

Fortunately he had already learned the judo techniques from the kyoshi warriors that helped him immensly.

Katara then showed him and Aang the push and pull exercise and different from the natural talent that Aang seemed to have he barely made a small wave on the water surface.

But he didn't gave up because he understood the difficulty of him learning a different element.

To learn waterbending he had to forget even the most basic habits he had in bending that were deeple ingrained into him due to his mad firebending training since his childhood.
