Chapter 3 - Chapter 3, The King in the Shadow

"I'm here now, sir. You can leave the rest to me," Noar said firmly.

Arsh gave a nod. "Take care of these bodies… and bury them properly. We can't let anyone find a trace."

With that, Arsh adjusted his disguise and stepped into the college campus, blending in as the quiet and composed 'Azura'.

Inside the classroom, the professor glanced up as the door opened. "Ah, you must be the new transfer. Come in and introduce yourself."

Arsh gave a casual nod and stepped forward. "Hello everyone. I'm Azura, a second-year transfer student. Nice to meet you."

Murmurs rippled through the room. His sharp features, mysterious gray hair, and calm aura instantly caught attention.

"You can take the back seat," the professor added.

As Arsh approached the last row, he noticed a girl sleeping soundly, her head buried in her arms. Without disturbing her, he quietly sat beside her.

Moments later, the professor called out, "Luna! If you're awake, answer the question from yesterday's topic."

Startled, the girl jerked awake. She glanced at the board, confused—until she noticed Arsh subtly flipping open his textbook to the right page.

She caught the topic and quickly gave the correct answer.

The bell rang.

"That's all for today," the professor concluded. "See you tomorrow."

The girl exhaled in relief and turned to Arsh. "Thanks for that. Really saved me there."

"No problem," Arsh replied. "Mind showing me where the canteen is? I'm new here."

"Sure," she said, smiling. "I'm heading that way anyway."

As they walked together, Arsh teased, "Sleeping in class? That's a bold first impression."

She laughed, brushing hair behind her ear. "Yeah… I had a rough night. My mom's sick, and I work late shifts."

They reached the canteen.

"You probably don't have a meal pass yet," she said. "Let me get this one. Consider it repayment."

Before he could argue, she returned with two plates and handed one to him.

"Thanks," Arsh said. "But… is this allowed?"

"For special cases, yeah. Come on, let's grab a seat."

They found a table and sat down. Luna looked around and whispered with a chuckle, "You know… I'm probably gonna get death glares for sitting with you. All the girls are watching."

"Just sharing a table," Arsh replied casually. "Besides, you helped me."

Suddenly, a confident girl with striking looks walked over and placed her tray at the next table.

"Mind if I sit?" she asked.

"They're public seats," Arsh said.

She sat down gracefully. "I'm Raya. Second-year, acting department."

"Azura," Arsh replied, keeping his tone friendly but guarded. "Second-year, programming."

"You're new, right? Haven't seen you before."

"Transferred recently," he answered.

Raya leaned in slightly. "You two seeing each other?"

"No," Arsh and Luna both replied at once.

"He helped me in class," Luna clarified. "Just paying him back."

"Hmm. So, Azura… got a girlfriend?" Raya asked, smirking.

"Not at the moment," Arsh replied flatly.

As Luna stood up to leave, she shot Arsh a knowing smirk. "Wow… you really shut down the campus queen like it was nothing."

"What do you mean?" he asked, confused.

"I think she was trying to flirt. You might've just broken a few hearts."

Before he could reply, a group of three boys stepped in front of them.

The tallest one sneered, "So you're the guy sitting with Raya, huh? Let me give you some advice—stay away from her."

Arsh frowned. "She sat next to me. I'm not interested in your drama."

"Don't test me, pretty boy," the guy growled, placing a hand on Arsh's shoulder.

Arsh winced. Even with his immense power, he had to act like a normal human here.

"Sir, don't react," OSAI warned in his ear. "Any slip and your cover's blown."

But Luna had already stepped in front of him.

"You heard him," she said, cracking her knuckles. "Back off."

The lead thug laughed. "A girl's gonna stop us?"

A few seconds later, he was on the ground, followed by his buddies. Luna stood victorious, bruised but proud.

"Next time, bring a smarter threat," she said, spitting dust from her mouth.

Minutes later, they were all in the principal's office.

"You fought in the middle of campus!" the principal roared. "All of you are suspended for two days!"
