As the sun is setting. Lex moves to his car, a big humbv for wilderness clearly. With mud, and dirt on its sides. As he opens a passanger door, and Tanner gets in. Its better then Tanners old car... that thing was far too tiny for him. But this one is still a little small for a beast of his size. As he wears his cloak, and sits. Tail passively laying nearly. Long enougth for its tip to pop out from the bottom of the cloak. As Lex, a ordinary looking human, with brown hair, yet oddly animalistic eyes of a orange color. So he is wearing sunglasses. A tang-top. Exposed sharp, clean mussles, in a lean build. Short-pants. While Tanner sits. Monstorus as hell. A cryptid of grey skin. A head with a thin nose, and mouth. With a crown of black feathers with countless eyes on the head crown that splays out 1m, and moves alive, constantly with micromovements. While his limbs are too lanky, hands with 4 fingers, one a thumb that is double jointed, his legs are digigrade and hooved.
As Lex drives, they stop at a few lights... with far... too many staires, and even fear visible in other drivers. Pictures are clearly taken. Lex does not give a shit. He says "I need to blacken my windows." Tanner nods with his feathered crown bowing, and no head movement, just the crown. Lex has not seen Tanner move his head for a nod sense he met, only the crown. All facial expressions are in that crown. He got many stairs like that when he was driving cross-contrey looking for anywhere to live while homeless. Tanners angleic style feather crown tighter, more compressed, like a creature trying to fold in on itself to avoid being seen. While lex's smile grows wide, as his raw dog-like excitment at having someone to be here when he has fun with a wolf-out. Someone his intincts call 'alpha' due to his raw power, despite everything. It fills him, and he can bairly contain any other thought, as he drives out to one of his better wolf-out spots. Its hard to get good spots for a wolf-out. Need a place with no nature cams to fuck you over. No hunters that will scream in the night. No park rangers that will care about a werewolf.
The city falls behind them, as the sky darkens. As they arrive, and park the car. Lex smiles brightly, as he strips, leaving out his backpack, stripping to everything but his boxers. As he says "So dude. You ready! You never saw my wolf form before. I think its very hansome." Tanner is quite. Lex shakes his head "Whatever feathers. BTY, i can't speak, but i still have control." He closes his eyes, focuses for a second... before a pulse of primal magic covers his body, as visibly, blood jumps out of his body, his body restructures itself live, with bones breaking, and everything. Until, within seconds. A massive 2m tall, 8m long wolf is formed. No at all a tradiational werewolf, a giant wolf. It looks at Tanner with large eyes, innocent almost with joy, as it barks at him, and walks around the car, and Tanner, as it sniffs deeply. Tail wagging. Its fur is golden brown. Tanner watches with 12 eyes pointing constantly with raw attention. The wolf tilts its head, then parks almost acusingly. As it jumps 20m, and lands, and barks for Tanner to follow... follow fast. He has not moved faster then a slow walk in who knows how long. Taanner frowns, and sighs. As... he takes off his cloak, and lays it over there stuff. As he wears a basic set of form fitting clothes under.
Tanner's legs are clearly digigrade. He stops sloutch, and extends to full height, 7′3. As his thin, alien, agile legs land with larger steps. Step lengths too long for a normal human, all limbs alien. As his two segment hooves, with claws to grasp into rock within gaps. Jump, and land almost silently next to the wolf, as the wolf jumps in joy, and then runs into the treeline, and then Tanner runs to follow after. A little unuse to moving this much, he is clumbsy. As he falls a few times on landings. Before he adapts quickly. The wolf almost mocks him, before helping him up, and then licking him with a huge as tong. As he says "Hey, don't fucking do that, i'm wet now!" The wolf barks, ignoring him. The wolf seems to want to race him, and they do. The wolf is fast, but eventually Tanner gets a hang of it, and jumps up trees, jumps between trees with silent movements even at high speeds. Eventually, jumping on top of the giant wolf he gave a head start.
As the wolf falls over, and rolls in response to knock him off, barking annoyed at him because he won, and jumped on him. Before barking playfully. Tanner gets up from the ground, his feather eyes locking onto the wolf. As they feel slightly eh from being rolled into the mud. As he blinks out the mud, and slowly cleans. He frowns... he dislikes being messy. Very much so. He feels a bit angry now, becuase of how horrible his entire head feels with mud stuck in feathers, and eyes stinging from it getting where it should not be. Then Lex... notices... and moves back slowly watching Tanners frustration get larger. As his eyes move painfully, as he works to remove the mud. Lex bends down, and wimpers deeply. Tanner shaking slightly with rage, with a aliens instictive pride being broken. A feeling, that to hurt a feather, or eye is like kicking him in the balls. He hates it. Then... says "Don't... touch my feathers... agien...." As suttle gravitational ripples emit from him. The wolf pouts deeply, and is wimpering. Then the tension cuts. As Tanner rubs his hands thru his feathers, sharp claws cleaning mud out surpisingly well. As he sighs deeply, "Sorry... FUCK THIS HURTS... seriously... there is mud in 18 eyes dude! You know what its like to get something wrong in your eye! Ive been so careful to not get ANYTHING in these eyes! Ah... shit! I need a river or something!" Lex paces around him, scared, worried. Then moves in, and offers to lick. Tanner looks at him, eyes straining, still clearly something in them. As slight wetness, and tears to clean the eyes out are forming. He says "Licking them is not going to help. Give me a moment, sorry." Lex steps back, unsure, conserned, sad, embarassed.
Tanner says "Shit... can't control that..." As Tanner's many eyes begin to cry at the same time. Quite actively as well. As the mud comes out slowly, as he grooms. Half-crouched on the ground, almost bird like. Using both hands to clean slowly. Eventually... after a focused Tanner, acting almost like a bird-like creature. Finishes his cleaning. He sighs "Sorry... i was having fun until that. My eyes, and feathers are sensitive. Don't get anything in them." The wolf walks follows, and lays in front of Tanner, wimpering. As he sighs. getting up, and pets the wolf, as Tanner says to Lex "Lets continue. We still have a night to go. I still need more practice in, for my movements." Lex jumps up, and howls, as he runs excitedly.
Tanner's movements are sharp, too fast, but too quite. Like a cryptid, his feet suttly vibrating to match the frequency of the footstep. Noise cancelation. Instictive. Tanner did not design this, but as he runs, and Lex enjoys himself in a lake. Tanner stands on top of a 100m tall tree. Just watching the area around him. Quite... the wind blowing thru his crown. As the world around him is clear, and the moon is sharper in his vision then ever as a human. His digigrade legs grabs the trees top with a inhuman level of balance, and precision with the claws embedded between the hooves. As he is quite, feeling relaxed for once. Not caring about how he moves, just that he does. Its... a new feeling. The few times he has moved fast, was to get somewhere to sleep when desperate, when homeless. Climbing up skyscrapers, and sleeping on there roofs. Leaving the claw marks in the concreate. He... enjoys the view quitely. The cold not even bothering him. His eyes keep focusing on the sky. Trying to see stars. He dislikes the light polution here. They are still too close to the city. But at least the moon, clouds, and terrain is pretty.
Lex looks around for him, and notices him, and howls loudly. Tanner looks down, and jumps from 100m, and lands without a single injury, or pain. As he walks over with a casual, quite grace that looks casual, but moves at 22mph. Lex lays down, and licks him a little. Careful of his head. He pets the massive wolf. The fur is soft, a bit wet from Lex's swim still. Tanner slowly runs his hand thru the fur of Lex. Petting the massive dog. As the wolf carefully shows affection, and Tanner pets, his claws not breaking skin. Becuase Lex has a high strength, and durability stat. Sure, tanner is sure he could puncture it if he tried, but Tanner is not made for insane physical strength, his durrability is not that high. He is a stelth, and gravitational attacking. Thou, as he thinks of these random practicalties at such a calm, and warm moment. He is not even considering it. Its just good to know.
He eventually focuses on being quite for once. Trying to push away his own alien species habit of thinking constantly. He focuses on the fur... focuses on Lex. Lex is very loving, and active, as Tanner grows more relaxed around the giant wolf. Bigger then even him, way bigger then a human. A human could fit in its mou- He shakes his head, avoiding casual thought once more. Its hard for him. He alwase analizes, considers, thinks. This species did invent wormhole travel machines, and did self-engineer there own bodies to gain gravity manipulation. They are very smart... his feathers frown slowly, as he can't help but think. As he sits into the for of Lex, as Lex lays down, and begins to nap on the grass. 'Its not that i dislike my body...' his intelect pulses with analisis 'its that this world is not made for me, this alien... and my homeworld is fictional...' He frowns deeper, as his charictors aspects float thru him... a desire for home.
He eventually relaxes into the fur. As he continues to think, even deeper. "Tessa... she deserves to live freely..." he thinks casually "She could come with us, her stamana can manage to keep up with our movements. She can dodge birds so well, only..." His brain silently calculates with perfect memory... what would it take to catch Tessa? His ansure "at least 280mph... with utter suprise. Thou..." A complex math formula forms in his head. He enjoys the math, before he shakes his head realizing "If she is not emotionally compromised, nothing on earth can truely catch her. The only reason her family managed, was because she was entirely new to this. Thou rain is still a threat, its managable. She... is not all that weak honestly." He smiles, as he feels his own math, and constant thought support his idea of allowing her into the world. The only factors are her trama, her ability to handle socal stigma, rain, and food. As for survivablity, she is honestly fine. THe emergence does not allow a broken form, unless its designed broken. She is made to be a magical fairy, that can survive in forests, and life.
He thinks of the emergence... emergence con... he frowns... as his anxiety pulses. His feathers shake with fear, as the quite around him floats. Then... he thinks deeply... 'why am i anxious... they can't hurt me easly. I don't want to hurt them... why... am i scared of there reactions?'... the thoughts circle... as his own hyper-analistical nature is turned on itself. 'It reminds me of what i lost'. He concludes. 'I was once human, normal, had a easy life. Now im alien, not normal, have a hard life...' he pauses, as his own nature prevents the blindness. 'but i have good things... Tessa, Lex, Rachel, this house... i can live for over 800 years... i can think so well, i could get a job as a signtist or something... that would be neat...' he is quite. 'but...' he remembers the fear, the stairs, the disrespect, the utter, horrible, slowness he puts himself thru just walking around them.

He mentally lists out his issues in a instant, it hurts, his emotions attempt to get in the way, but he calms himself. He says in his head 'logic... thought... we must feel... consider...' As it comes slowly... First. 'I got another personality, goals, habits, and more... that entered my old mind, and made a new merged one.' He goes quite at that... 'i can't... be human anymore...' he then pirks up 'oh... thats why i hurt... both parts of me want compainonship... and both parts don't have it... fully... We don't have a species anymore... both the human, and the alien have no species anymore...' His feathers frown, and he desires to call for someone. He frowns as well, deeper... realizing the creature misses more then that. In the creatures story it fell to earth, and fell in love with a human woman. That it grew attached to this woman, and her kid as family, the only family it had left. One it would die for. Now... they are gone. His feathers shake in stress... as his emotions spike. He wants them.
In the raw sadness, and moarning. His feathered crown shifts in a large display of angelic form, shaking as eyes glow brightly, as a suddly bending forms around him. One not sensed by Lex, or even the ground. He does not want to hurt anyone... so he does not. His body is too precise for that. He pauses... as he remembers what the human half-lost. His mother, Christian. Unapproving of the fact he is not, thou he hid it for many years. His extended family. Have no idea. His mom kicked him out at a young age, telling him to get a job, a house. He bairly managed to do that, turned to depression, and expressed his profound lonelyness, and inability to connect in writing. His webnovel... this... alien he now is.
His feathers ruffle in waves, the eyes watch nothing in particular, besides prehaps Lex. A few watch the moon because its pretty, some focus on the waves, and water of the small lake in front of them. He is quite... too quite. Yet his feathers shift with complex emotions. As he feels active, emotional, hurt, angry, and sad. Yet... most of all... he wants to stop being sad. He wants to live, becuase... he realizes 'i love moving around like this... and... the sky is so pretty as this alien... and Tessa i love... and Lex, and Rachel.' He shakes... realizing who is now in his heart, and its only 3 pepole. He hurts... and that hurt runs thru him. His pain is not gone, he just ignores it. His needs. His species does have a sex drive. His species does have needs for closeness, and even there feathers to interlock, as they lay near each other. The feather crowns are not only sensory organs, but display organs. Like in birds. He can feel his utter pride, and desire to keep them looking nice every day. He cleans them with bird safe shampoo, careful of eyes, showers. Keeps them clean, and smelling nice. He has some needs met, and others not. Worse... how the hell is he ment to explain his version of the birds and the bees... when its weird as fuck, on purpose, as he wrote it down in his notebook, and never planed to show it in his webnovel. Yet here it is. He shakes his head... his feathers moving in arcs, as he does the equal to a dry laugth in feather motions.
He frowns... he remembers that mating season arc in the comic... its approtching, that biological need. He frowns his feathers. He focuses elsewhere. He decides to sleep... and his subconches... waiting... in nearly a few seconds... lets him. His subconchess is smarter then a humans. No need to wait to sleep... just decide.
