Chapter 167 - Chapter 167 White Zetsu: Invitation for Obito to Join Konoha

When Tsunade arrived, Izumi Uchiha had already been kicked onto the ground by Minato Namikaze.

Minato was holding a corpse under his arm.

Izumi fixed a fierce glare on Minato before him, the three tomoe in his Sharingan swirling ominously.

"Minato, what are you doing?"

A familiar voice came through, and Izumi temporarily stopped activating his Sharingan.

"Tsunade-senpai." Minato gave a bitter smile, slightly touching his nose. Without waiting for Tsunade to approach, he decided to leave.

[Flying Thunder God!]

"You cannot take Rin Nohara away, because she belongs to Obito Uchiha!"

Obito Uchiha, rest assured — I shall grant your wish, allowing you to reunite with the one you love!

Separated by death — what kind of love is that? Go see her! Only when you follow her beyond life can it truly be called love!

She's dead and you're still alive — what are you pretending to be so heartbroken for?

Hearing the weak yet excited voice, Minato suddenly realized he hadn't moved from his spot at all. The distance between himself and the surrounding plants remained unchanged.

What happened? Why didn't the Flying Thunder God activation work?

Was that seal damaged or deactivated?

Surprised in his mind, Minato turned around and saw Izumi Uchiha's fair face flushed slightly red. His blood-red Mangekyo Sharingan stared straight at Minato, looking somewhat eerie.

"Izumi, enough."

Tsunade softly pleaded with a sigh in her voice.

Yet Izumi refused to deactivate his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Confused, Minato carefully recalled what had just occurred.

He had activated the Flying Thunder God, attempting spatial teleportation.

However, during this jump through space, instead of moving forward, he felt as if hitting a wall — or more accurately, being pulled back mid-jump.

"Was it your eyes?" He asked Izumi Uchiha directly.

Taking several steps forward, Tsunade positioned herself in front of Izumi.

"Minato," she solemnly questioned, "why has a dead person suddenly reappeared? Or have you been hiding somewhere all this time?"

"Lay down the person in your arms. Is it Rin? You should let your former disciple, Rin, rest in peace!"

"Minato, this is not something you should be doing!"

Tsunade continued speaking, one sentence after another.

Without explaining his actions, Minato instead asked, "Tsunade-senpai, do you know that Naruto is my son?"

"...I know." Tsunade slightly parted her lips and whispered softly.

"Could you let him live?" It sounded both like a request and a simple statement from Minato.

"Minato, it's Naruto himself who decides his own fate — he chose the wrong path. He was being used by others!" Tsunade explained.

Minato fell silent.

"It was Jiraiya who told you about Naruto, wasn't it? Was your resurrection also related to him?"

Minato said nothing but neither denied it.

"Minato, if you want to ensure Naruto lives safely in the future, you must bring him back yourself. Don't hand him over to Jiraiya again, or else he'll follow Jiraiya's footsteps and stray off course once more." Tsunade's expression grew serious.

From the corner of her eye, she could see Minato constantly glancing toward Izumi Uchiha.

Obviously, he was looking for an opportunity to use the Flying Thunder God technique to escape.

Tsunade couldn't help but laugh bitterly to herself.

Right, Minato was Jiraiya's disciple. Of course he trusted Jiraiya more.

Those who had believed in her unconditionally had already disappeared.

Dan… Nawaki…

Thinking about this, Tsunade's mood grew heavy.

Nowadays, besides Shizune, was there still someone like that? Hiroki Hyuga, Yugao Uzuki… Could she truly trust them?

[Wood Release...]

A thick wooden trunk sprouted from the ground, lifting Izumi Uchiha upward. Startled at first, she quickly regained her composure.

Looking back at this cemetery, Tsunade sighed.

Again at this place—looks like this graveyard will need repairs once more.

Forgive me, brave souls of Konoha!

[Garden of Life Rebirth!]

Multiple trees rapidly erupted from the earth, their roots tearing up the soil.

In an instant, the area transformed into a lush forest teeming with dense foliage.

Minato's expression darkened; he had no choice but to temporarily set Rin Nohara's body aside.

The Nine-Tails' chakra enveloped him completely, bathing him in a golden glow from head to toe. In the darkness of night, he shined brilliantly.

Tsunade merely smiled faintly, "Minato, I've even defeated the entire Nine-Tails before. How much more so in your current state?"

At this moment, both the Nine-Tails' malevolent chakra and the golden glow shining through the night attracted many people's attention.

Kakashi stepped out of his house, gazing toward that direction.

A clone of Izumi Uchiha suddenly appeared inside his residence, saying, "Kakashi, Rin Nohara is about to be taken away right now. It's happening over there."

"What?" Kakashi was puzzled.

"It's The Fourth," the clone displayed a difficult-to-describe malicious expression on her face, "Rin Nohara's grave has been dug up."

Honestly, I've been using the source-switching app to read and follow updates recently. It allows easy switching between sources, offers multiple reading voices, and is available for both Android and iOS devices at .huanyuanapp.

"What!" Immediately, Kakashi rushed swiftly toward that direction.

Quietly watching him leave, she dispelled the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

---

Minato Namikaze kept breaking through Tsunade's Wood Release techniques while rapidly evading her attacks.

Combined with the golden glow radiating from his body, it appeared to unknowing observers as if meteors streaked by again and again.

"How lively!" White Zetsu exclaimed emotionally.

"He came for Rin Nohara. This won't do—we can't let Obito stay in the dark about something like this!"

Chuckling sinisterly, White Zetsu burrowed underground and left Konoha.

---

"Hokage-sama!"

Kakashi arrived just in time, recklessly rushing into the forest created by Tsunade's Wood Release techniques while shouting loudly.

"Kakashi, get out!" Tsunade frowned and scolded.

Upon hearing that slightly familiar voice, the golden figure turned around.

Their eyes locked, and for a brief moment, Kakashi froze in place.

"Teacher..."

Kakashi felt a complex mix of emotions as he recalled what Izumi Uchiha had just said, and he began looking around anxiously.

Rin Nohara's lifeless body had been thrown onto the ground. Although Tsunade and the other combatants had instinctively avoided involving her in the battle, seeing that motionless figure lying there still made Kakashi feel deeply pained.

"Rin..." He trudged toward her.

Izumi Uchiha jumped down from the wooden post and approached his side.

"Rin won't go through something like that ever again," Kakashi murmured softly, cradling Rin Nohara's corpse in his arms.

With that, he immediately carried her away from the site of the battle.

"Kakashi!" Minato shouted.

Izumi shot him a smirk before following after Kakashi.

As for Minato, Tsunade naturally stepped in to block his way.

"Senior Kakashi, where are you taking her?" Izumi asked.

"I must protect her," Kakashi replied firmly.

"Where will you keep her then? At home?"

"At home?" Kakashi paused, as if realizing something. "Right... I can't afford to let her be too far from me anymore."

Izumi chuckled. "Great! If you two are living together, I won't have to keep an eye on two separate places anymore."
