The Xia sisters, who had been keeping a close eye on Haman ever since she emerged from Sweetwater, quickly piloted the Blade Angel and the NT-X2 Gundam, tailing the Alpha Wazolon from a distance.
If you were to ask why Reid didn't personally monitor Haman?
Reid would say that the mutual resonance between Newtypes essentially ruled out the possibility of him monitoring Haman himself. If he got even slightly close, Haman would sense his presence.

Nanai Miguel slammed her fist onto her chair in a rage, looking very much like a woman whose man had been snatched away by a fox spirit. she roared, "That vixen Haman! I knew she was up to no good coming back! She actually took advantage of the chaos on the battlefield to kidnap the Commander!!"
Nanai Miguel said this on purpose. Char absolutely could not be seen as a deserter; if the Commander fled, the army's morale would collapse instantly, and the battle would be over.
Nanai Miguel still hadn't figured out where the forces attacking the Sweetwater Colony came from, but seeing as they attacked the colony's main body right from the start, she even suspected they were remnants of the Titans.
On Reid's side, seeing as Char had fled but the Neo Zeon forces at Sweetwater were still fighting, he naturally didn't hold back.
Since he couldn't personally track Char and Haman, he might as well clean up the forces here to ensure no Neo Zeon reinforcements would come to their aid later when he pursued Char.
Thus, Reid deployed all his remaining units. Under the crushing weight of absolute combat power, the Neo Zeon forces collapsed instantly.
The battle continued until over sixty percent of the Neo Zeon forces were wiped out. Seeing that the situation was hopeless and her subordinates had lost their will to fight, Nanai Miguel had no choice but to surrender.
However, after the surrender, Reid's handling of the Sweetwater Colony took Nanai Miguel by surprise.
Reid demanded that Neo Zeon launch all their warships and MS into space, and then have all personnel abandon ship and return to the Sweetwater Colony.
Now that they were at his mercy, Nanai Miguel could only comply, as continued resistance would not change the outcome.
Without the Sazabi and the Alpha Wazolon, Neo Zeon would have to sacrifice over a dozen lives just to take down a single Virgo II. And with Reid and the others joining the fray, it became nothing short of a collective suicide run.
But just when Nanai Miguel thought the enemy was about to make some outrageous demands of the now-defenseless Sweetwater Colony...
After recovering the Sazabi, Reid and his team simply blew up all the warships and MS outside the Sweetwater Colony. Then, without saying a word or even checking the colony for hidden weapons, they retreated.
For a moment, Nanai Miguel couldn't tell what this force had come here for. Was it really just to eliminate Neo Zeon's military strength?
However, no one was left to answer Nanai Miguel's question, as the story of this sector of space would have little to do with her from now on.
After dealing with Neo Zeon, Reid recovered his units and went to catch up with the Xia sisters.
The current situation was this: the Alpha Wazolon was flying in the lead, with the Xia sisters tracking it using Astronomical Telescopes.
Once the Gran Chaos caught up, they began sending people out in shifts to monitor the Alpha Wazolon's movements.

As long as Londo Bell was destroyed, whatever plot Haman had would fail. In the worst-case scenario, Haman and her group would simply retreat from this universe and wait for the next opportunity to clash.
In a new universe, the landing point of Codename: Amelius Squad could be determined, and it would be more efficient to set an ambush then.
However, Ange firmly disagreed with dealing with Londo Bell first.
Reid didn't even need to guess Haman's thoughts here; Ange had spent enough time with Haman to guess what she would do.
If Londo Bell were destroyed, Haman would certainly retreat just as Salamandine thought, because she wouldn't fight a battle she was bound to lose.

Reid had guessed correctly; Haman had already discussed Plan B with Teletha. If Reid really caught up, Haman would trigger a World Impact and return immediately.
As long as Teletha confirmed Haman's exit or death, the follow-up plan would change to raiding Anaheim Electronics on the moon while Reid was busy fighting Londo Bell, stripping it of all its materials and technology.
Of course, after vetoing Ange's proposal, Reid didn't agree to Salamandine's plan either.

Due to the severe Ahab Wave Interference, the unit would have to move out of the affected area to transmit a signal back to the New Danann Child.
If it was a member of Codename: Amelius Squad, Reid would kill them with the attitude of eliminating whenever possible.
If it was a Mobile Doll, Reid would track its movements; the direction it moved would be the direction of the New Danann Child.
Even if Teletha was cautious and simply abandoned the Mobile Doll, having a direction would make finding the New Danann Child much easier.
When the time came, he would find a way to force Haman to change course. If the New Danann Child turned, even if it didn't activate the Ahab Reactor inside the ship and only used its original engines, it would expose itself via its engine plumes.
