A loud knock interrupted the moment between Seraphina and Livia. I turned toward the door as Evangeline strode in, her usual confident smile replaced with a look of urgency.
"Have I missed the reconciliation?" Evangeline asked, glancing between Seraphina and Livia who were still standing close to each other. "I meant to arrive sooner, but I was detained by the most tedious conversation with Lord Fairweather about his prize roses."
I couldn't help but smile. "You're just in time for the canvas destruction."
Evangeline's eyes lit up as she took in the mess we'd already created. "Excellent! Though it seems you've had a head start, Isabella." She picked up a broken frame from the floor, examining it with appreciation. "You've truly obliterated this one."
"It was... cathartic," I admitted, feeling a flush of embarrassment at my earlier outburst.
