Ficool

Chapter 30 - 30

"Ivan, you did a great job tonight!" After everyone left, Harry, who had been pushed to the edge of the crowd, stepped forward and gave Ivan a big hug.

"Maybe." Ivan shrugged and explained, "Actually, you shouldn't exaggerate. I put a lot of effort into dealing with the giant monster."

It's not that Ivan was being modest, but the news had been distorted. In one of the versions Ivan heard, the twelve-foot-tall troll even became twenty feet tall!

This flattery was unacceptable...

"Hey, come on, you're a hero of Gryffindor. We only saw you saving Hermione and then killing the troll. My God, that was fast." Ron hit Ivan on the chest and said with a smile.

"Besides, we just mentioned what happened. Who knew it would spread like this?" Harry said they were not to blame.

"By the way, where's Hermione?" Ivan asked.

"I don't know. I clearly saw her just now." Harry was also a little surprised.

"You saved her, but now she doesn't even say thank you." Ron said angrily.

"Maybe she left for something urgent." Ivan shook his head. Hermione was not that kind of person.

Since Hermione had taken all the punishment before, which changed the two men's views of her, Harry and Ron accepted Ivan's statement.

Next, Harry and Ron took Ivan mysteriously to see a package, which contained a brand new Nimbus 2000. It was sent to Harry by Professor McGonagall this morning, but Ivan missed it because he was in the library.

Although he was not interested, Ivan still boasted a few words against his conscience when he saw the two people's excited expressions, and then quickly sent them to bed.

Now that he had some free time, Ivan finally had time to take a closer look at the rewards he received for killing the giant monster.

[Blood Fusion Reagent (Magic Potions Formula)

Materials required: dried nettle, spathiphyllum, valerian, mistletoe berries, black Veratrum petals, acanthus sinensis, black bat keratin, mountain flower powder...

Special materials: 150 ml of active blood from a magical creature (Note: if the blood leaves the body for more than three days, its activity will be greatly reduced)

Prerequisite: Level 6 in Potions (Note: Level 4 in Potions required in the experience card state)]

Looking at the series of names in the requirements materials, Ivan felt a little dizzy. Aren't there too many?

Moreover, many of them were high-level potion ingredients, and their prices were shockingly high. Even if he risked being caught and ran to Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley to buy them, the gold Galleons he had were far from enough.

The prerequisite for the sixth level of Potions made Ivan frown again and again. Even though his Potions had been upgraded to the third level, the higher the level, the slower the improvement. Each level above the third level was more difficult than the one from zero to the third level!

Fortunately, Ivan was relieved after seeing the small note at the back. If he worked hard, he still had a chance to reach level 4 in Potions. He just didn't expect that the experience card mode would also give a bonus to potion refining.

The easiest thing for Ivan to get was the blood of magical creatures. Although it had the limitation that its activity would decrease after three days out of the body, Ivan knew that Hagrid would hatch a little dragon soon.

Ivan can't beat an adult dragon, but can't he just bully this newborn one?

It would be easy to draw some blood then... Just prepare everything else before the little dragon is sent away.

Dongdong...Dongdong...

When Ivan was lost in thought, he heard a noise outside the window. He turned his head and saw a black-gray owl knocking on the glass with its beak. There was a rope tied to its legs, and it seemed to be tied to something.

Gula?

A word appeared in Ivan's mind, and Ivan guessed that this might be the name of the owl.

He walked forward and opened the window. A black-gray owl flew in quickly, landed on Ivan's shoulder and shook itself. Because everyone in the dormitory had gone to the welcome party for Ivan, the poor little thing was forced to be exposed to the night breeze all night.

Ivan was no longer in the mood to care about the safety of an owl at this time. All his attention was focused on the envelope hanging on its legs.

Because it clearly says Ivan Hals.

Ivan untied the rope and held the envelope in his hand but he didn't have the courage to open it. The expression on his face changed again and again, and finally he sighed.

He had known that this day would come, but he didn't expect it to come so soon.

Ivan hesitated for a while and then opened the envelope. What made him feel relieved was that the content of the letter was very ordinary. It just asked about his recent situation at Hogwarts and which house he was assigned to. The last person to be mentioned was Asia Hals, his mother.

Also included were three gold Galleons and a small note underneath, telling him to write back when he was short of money.

However, the more concerned the content of the letter was, the more guilty and worried Ivan felt...

Needless to say, he felt guilty. Although this time travel was not under his control, he ended up replacing the other person's child inexplicably. Of course, Ivan could not accept it so calmly.

The worry came from Dumbledore's ambiguous evaluation of his mother, and the extremely conspicuous dark magic fear curse in the system column...

Thinking of the Fear Curse, Ivan was somewhat speechless. Generally speaking, which normal mother would teach such dangerous black magic as the Fear Curse before going to school?

Moreover, the teaching process could never be cheerful and peaceful, otherwise, he would not have felt the fear when he recalled it before. Obviously, in order to learn quickly, the mother personally let her child experience what fear is.

These unknowns made Ivan feel uneasy, which made Ivan urgently need to have at least enough strength to protect himself before returning home and leaving school.

The fastest way to improve strength is to make the newly acquired blood fusion reagent. So even though Ivan felt that the three gold galleons in the letter were a bit hot, he still put them away in the end.

There is no way, he is so short of money now...

"Coo~" The black owl Gula who delivered the letter had been waiting for a long time. Seeing that Ivan was hesitating for a long time, he had to knock Ivan's head with his beak as a reminder.

Ivan also woke up from his thoughts and realized that the most urgent thing now was to reply to the letter. He handed his own owl's food box to Gula to ask it to be more patient. At the same time, he ignored the owl's protest and picked up the feather pen with hesitation.

After pondering for a long while, Ivan wrote down some interesting things that happened in school recently on a blank piece of letter paper.

Ivan originally planned to mention the troll, but he deleted all related content before sending the letter.

He defeated the troll in a single challenge not long after entering school. Ivan estimated that his mother's first reaction should be to run to the school in horror to question Dumbledore, rather than being proud of him.

It's better to keep a low profile and not cause any more trouble...

After some revisions and deletions, Ivan closed the envelope, sealed it and let Owl Gula return the same way.

After doing all this, it was already getting light, and Ivan pulled the quilt and lay down on the bed.

In a daze, Ivan suddenly thought of a question. The surprise Dumbledore mentioned, was it the welcome party or the letter?

The next morning, Ivan, who had slept for less than two hours, got up reluctantly to go to class. Harry and Ron had the same experience and kept yawning.

However, after getting up, the three of them looked at each other's dark circles and couldn't help laughing out loud, and their spirits were lifted a lot.

After a night of fermentation, the news of Ivan killing the troll seemed to have spread throughout the school, causing Ivan to hear whispers wherever he went.

Ivan couldn't help but quicken his pace, and the situation improved a little after he arrived at the Transfiguration classroom.

Hermione arrived earlier than the other three and was now sitting quietly on the right, flipping through the pages of a book. The seats next to her were also occupied.

Several little Gryffindor witches were chattering about something and asking Hermione from time to time. The latter looked very impatient until she saw Ivan, then she showed joy on her face, put down her book and prepared to come over.

"Okay, kids, class is starting now, everyone go back to your seats!" Professor McGonagall walked in at this moment, frowned at the messy classroom and said.

The dark green robe wrapped around her plump and well-proportioned body. Her black hair was neatly tied behind her head, and her upright posture showed an inviolable majesty.

Ivan, Harry and Ron quickly found three empty seats and sat down, and Hermione had no choice but to sit back.

Professor McGonagall glanced at Ivan consciously, then cleared her throat and spoke to the little wizards who were already seated.

"I think I should have said at the beginning of the school year that Transfiguration will be one of the most complex and dangerous magics you can learn at Hogwarts. As long as you study hard, Transfiguration will be enough to solve most of the problems you encounter."

Ivan also secretly looked at Professor McGonagall, his eyes could not help but linger on her tall upper body and narrow waist. Although she was serious and mature, the tight robe outlined her graceful figure, and there was a hint of abstinence.

"You should have heard that just yesterday, Mr. Hals relied on his superb Transfiguration spell and excellent mind to successfully kill a giant monster in the corridor of Hogwarts!"

"For this, Professor Dumbledore gave Gryffindor a full twenty points!" Professor McGonagall added.

When Professor McGonagall finished speaking, there was an uproar in the audience, and there were bursts of discussion. Ivan suddenly became the focus of everyone.

Even though many young wizards had heard this news before, it came from Harry and Ron after all, and might not be credible. But now it is confirmed!

Ivan was not happy at all when he was suddenly praised by Professor McGonagall, because according to his experience, this praise would usually be followed by the word "but", which was in line with the general speaking process of teachers.

Sure enough, Ivan then heard Professor McGonagall continue.

"But... I want to warn you solemnly that the troll is a very powerful and dangerous creature. It is definitely not something that a young wizard who has not yet graduated can defeat! Hals is the only exception. Even Professor Quirrell, who teaches you the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, fainted at the Halloween party because of being frightened!"

At this point, Professor McGonagall's eyes became sharper and she continued.

"If I knew that someone else did something dangerous like this, I would definitely suggest to Professor Dumbledore that he be expelled."

"And even for Hals, defeating the troll is not as easy as you think." After saying that, Professor McGonagall looked around and noticed that the little wizards below were all silent. Then she looked at Ivan and gave him a look, indicating that he should show his performance.

Ivan was staring at Professor McGonagall's body curves intently. He couldn't help but imagine her plump breasts and round and firm buttocks under her robe. It was not until Professor McGonagall's eyes turned to him that Ivan suddenly came back to his senses. He immediately stood up with a serious expression and spoke in a deep tone.

"Yes, Professor, I swear, the troll is definitely the toughest opponent I have encountered in the past eleven years...no doubt about it!"

As soon as Ivan finished speaking, there were bursts of laughter from the audience, because many smart little wizards heard the hidden meaning in Ivan's words.

As a first-grade wizard who is only eleven years old this year, in their opinion, the troll should be the first opponent Ivan encounters, and of course the most difficult one.

Professor McGonagall was very dissatisfied with Ivan's perfunctory attitude. She would rather Ivan talk more about the fear and terror in his heart when facing the troll, as well as the thrilling process, so as to give these children a shot of prevention.

Ivan shrugged helplessly, but in his heart he admired Professor McGonagall's brilliant methods.

First, he used the fact that he defeated the troll to inspire the enthusiasm of young wizards to learn the Transfiguration spell, and then set the tone for the matter in an official statement to put an end to the rumors that were becoming more and more exaggerated.

After all, it is better to open up than to block. Instead of hiding this matter and letting everyone guess, it is better to use it as a typical example to promote its positive effects. Expulsion as a warning can prevent some little wizards from thinking "If he can do it, so can I", and go further and further down the road of self-destruction.

The last thing is to suppress his reputation so that he won't become proud and complacent after defeating the troll.

The only pitiful one is Quirrell, who is used by McGonagall as a background to highlight the troll's strength. After today, he will probably become the laughing stock of Hogwarts.

Ivan, who was much older than eleven years old at heart, guessed Professor McGonagall's thoughts in a short period of time.

If possible, Ivan wouldn't mind cooperating with Professor McGonagall. After all, keeping a low profile is the right path. Unfortunately, there were some doubts about the process of him killing the troll. The more he talked, the more mistakes he made.

Otherwise, Professor McGonagall would have to ask him what his intention was in transforming a bunch of sharp iron thorns.

So, Professor McGonagall carefully prepared her opening remarks, but due to Ivan's uncooperative attitude, she only achieved half of her expectations.

This led to Professor McGonagall solemnly reminding Ivan before the next class that if he answered questions in class without her permission again, she might consider using a Silencing Charm to make Ivan shut up for a while and give other young wizards a chance to perform.

Ivan looked at his GPA which was only in the double digits, and the fact that he still needed 799 proficiency points to upgrade his Potions, and could only say with difficulty that he might consider the professor's valuable advice, compete fairly, and try to raise his hand to speak.
